REVIEW- MAC's Viva Glam Gaga Set

Hey Everyone!

This is one of the Sets I bought last Christmas from MAC, because I missed out on the first Lady Gaga lipstick that came out I was really excited when I learnt that they were releasing it again in a set. In the set you have Viva Glam Gaga and Viva Gam Gaga 2.  It was also nice to buy make up and  know It's going to a good cause. All proceeds from the Viva Glam collection go to people who have or live with Aids.

This is the little card that you get with the set.

I left my Viva Glam Gaga (pink) in my hand bag the other day and when I twisted it up to use it thats what It came out as. I'ts my first MAC lipstick to actually melt on me. I've heard of this happening to a lot of people and I nearly cried when It happened to me. One of my favorite colours! Oh well atleast its still usuable...slightly.  I can't twist it all the way up or it falls off :(

MAC calls this a Light Blue Pink.

On the website this is called a Light Neutral Beige

I can't wait to start using the first Viva Glam Gaga in the summer, Its such a pretty pink.
The Viva Glam Gaga 2 is something I have to be light handed with other wise it doesn't look so good. Most of the time I use it to lighten my natural lip colour and then use a lipgloss over it.

Viva Glam Gaga 2

Amplified Creme

Viva Glam Gaga

Lustre

It's a lovely duo and both are colours I will be using regally.

Thanks, Linzi xx

My Gel Eyeliner Collection (Bobbi Brown, MAC)

Hello!

I love to use Gel Eyeliners, they can be so easy to use once you have a great brush. My favorite brush to use so far is the Bobbi Brown Ultra Fine Liner brush.

First is Black Ink by Bobbi Brown, Its a strong, pure black that I like to use on a night out, It's a bit too much for me for every day wear. I used up most of i't around halloween time when I was a Sexy Witch.

*Kissy Face, Mwah Mwah *
The lipstick is Violetta from MAC

This is Espresso Ink by Bobbi Brown and it's more subtle than Black Ink and to me it is the perfect day time liner.

Next is Waveline from MAC and its a lovely colour but not so pigmented so I have to reapply it a good amount of times to get the colour I want.

Last but not least is Rich Ground a beautiful gold colour from MAC. It's smoth to go on and very pigmented.

I love them all in their own way, I find the Bobbi Brown Gel eyeliners last longer but the MAC Fluidlines come in the most amazing range of colours. So there they are :) Sorry for the chipped nails by the way, I went to a house party last night with lovely nails and came back with them looking like that. FAIL!

                                                                 Thanks, Linzi xx

Laura Geller 5 Piece Bake Sale Beauty Collection

Laura Gellers Bake Sale Set

Hey Everyone,

Laura Geller was one of the first brands I started using back last year when I started to get interested in make up. My Nan had been using her products for years through QVC so I decided to give her a go. I recieved My first Laura Geller products for christmas that year and I was amazed, The holy Grail product for me was her Balance and Brighten, Its a foundation that is made in Italy and It just makes your make up look so smooth and natural. Although back then her lightest foundation was in Fair and whilst good in the summer didn't quite match my skin colour in the winter. Then recently I heard she had brought out a new shade in Porcelain so I decided to buy some more of her products and this is the set I bought.

What you get :

Spackle Tinted Primer in Champagne (59g)

Spakle is a very popular product from the Laura Geller brand and I can see why. I have there normal spackle also which is just clear based and both really good primers. This is the Champagne one and I dont think you can see it but it has tiny golden shimmers that give your skin just enough glow without looking like you have stuck glitter chunks to your face.

Balance-n-Brighten - available in Porcelain, Fair, Medium or Tan (9g) -

In Porcelain

This is a great foundation but sometimes I don't find it gives me enough coverage so I do like to use a different foundation and then use this like a finishing powder. I love how natural this makes my skin look.

Baked Eye Pie Shadow Trio in Birthday Cake (7.5g)

In  Chocolate, Mocha and Creamy Strawberry

This is a great trio of colours, they can be quite subtle if you want them to be by using them dry or if you want a stronger look, use them wet. That's what is great about the Laura Geller products, they where first a mouse and can be used both wet or dry without ruining the products.

Blush-n-Brighten Baked Cheek Colour in Pink Buttercream (9g) -

In Pink Buttercream

This colour is lovely but it is a bit to dark for my pale skin so when I do use it, it is with a very light hand.

Italian Marble Lipstick in Strawberry Toffee (3.4g)

In Strawberry Toffee

This is a lovely lipstick, it's so smoth and hydrating. A very nice everyday pink colour.

So thats The Bake Sale set, I think Its lovely, the products are all in great sizes and you get a lot if quality make up for your pennies. :)

Thanks, Linzi xx

REVIEW: The Body Shop's Carrot Moisture Cream

Hello ladies,
I suffer with very dry skin but also quite sensitive skin, especially on my face. So lately I've been looking for a cream that will take away that dryness but not irritate my skin.

I read some of the reviews of this inexpensive cream on The Body Shops website and It seemed like a good buy. I've had it for a few months now and have decided to write a review about it.

This moisturzer is quite thick so you only need a small amount of it at one time, I't sinks well into the skin leaving it soft and smooth.

It's lasted me awhile, even though I've had it for around three months and have used it at least five times a week, it looks like i've used hardly any of it.

It leaves my skin very soft and smooth and is great for me to wear under my make up.

The smell I niether like or hate and is not too overpowering that I can still smell it on my face once its rubbed in.

I find this a great and inexpensive face cream that I will be repurchasing when I run out.
This is what The Body Shop say about it on there website :

" A beauty classic returns. This lightweight moisturiser with carrot oil makes skin feel soft and more supple."

Thanks, Linzi xx

Boots Haul

My recent Boots Haul

Hey Everyone,

The first thing I picked up on my trip to Boots last week was the Harajuku Lovers "Love" Perfume. I have been wearing it all week, It's a lot like my other HL perfume in "Music" but a little bit more floral I find. This was on offer in boots for just £10 and I really like it so far :)

Then I noticed that they had a "3 for 2" offer on thousands of lines so I had a look around and picked up The Soap and Glory - The Righteous Butter Body Lotion, I needed a new one because my last bottle of it ran out about a month ago and I've been missing it. It's probably one of my favorite moisturizer because it gives you a heck load of moisture but no grease and sinks into your skin very quickly. Also smells real good. Yay!

Next I bought the Mango and Papaya Shower gel. I havn't used this yet but it smells amazing and you can't go wrong for just £2.

I've seen a lot of people with the Natural Collection body Spray so I thought I'd check them out and the Mango and Papaya one is my favorite out of the lot. It's extreamly fruity and fresh and I find it lasts a good amount of time on skin and clothes.

So thats my haul. I better stop shopping  soon, I'm saving up for a new Laptop, perferbly one thats Blue :)

Thanks, Linzi x

The Body Shop Body Butters

                                                                            Hello!

The Body Shop Body Butters are amazing to me, I've collected a few over the years, have smelt probably everyone they have made and these are soem of my favorites.

Satsuma Body Butter

This is my all time favorite smelling body butter, but its for normal skin so not the best for my-very-dry- and- in- need -of- top moisture- skin sadly but I still use it every chance I get :)

Sweet Lemon Body Butter

Nice but not sweet smelling enough for me I find it very sharp for my tastes but for some reason I love using it when I'm under the weather. Probably because It's the only thing I can smell that doesnt turn me ill.

Mango Body Butter

This is my second tub, I love the smell and find it really refreashing. It's for very dry skin which is great for me and i find that if I use it constantly for a few week's thats when my skin  is at its best. So I try to always have some at home :)

Almond Body Butter

This is one of my least Favorite smells, I had many fruity body butter and wanted something sweet but I bought this when It was on offer online with out actually smelling it. I also bought the Passion fruit, Brazil Nut and Blueberry that day and I disliked them all. Lucky I got them on sale because now my nan uses them for her feet!

Wild Cherry Body Butter

This is a nice smelling body butter but it's not one I would repurchase. It's for normal skin so not the best moisturiser for me but good when you want something a little bit different smelling.

Shea Body Butter

This is another I have gone through and bought again, It's great because it's extreamly moisturizing but also not too strongly fragranced so it messes with your perfume. This is one I wear out in the evening or when I'm going somewhere and I want someone to smell my perfume :) Also I got my two tubes of this for only £1 each when The body Shop had them on offer, if you spent a certain amount you could pick one out of three body butters for just a £1! Bargain!

Vanilla Body Butter

This is my newest Body Butter and I had it free with my last order from there online store, It was good luck because at the same time I was buying there Vanilla EDT, so I use this to layer the perfume to make the scent last longer. This is one of they're new Body Butters, they give you two seperate butters, one thats for dry skin and one thats for normal. Making it easier for you because your able to use the same moisturizer for your whole body.
