July Favourites 2013

Hi Again :-)

It's August soon..that's just way too scary.

Here are some of the products I've been loving this month and why.

Burts Bees Lip Balm

I've said it plenty of times on this blog. The Burts Bees lip balms are my favourite out there. I've been using the mango one frequently this month. I haven't been that interested in applying a lot of makeup so most days its just this. It's an amazing hydrating lip balm that smells lush!

Michael Kors Very Hollywood EDP

I've been loving this perfume this month, it's floral, fresh and girly. I'm not usually a fan of floral perfumes but this has some fruity notes that keep it from being head ache inducing for me. I was given this last year for my birthday and I was so happy as I wouldn't have thought to try it otherwise!

Leighton Denny Indulgence Nail Polish

I'm a big fan of red nail polish, especially in the summer and this Leighton Denny polish is my favourite at the moment. It's very opaque and looks great after just two coats. I have it on my fingers and toes as it looks amazing on both.

L'Oreal Skin Perfection Micellar Solution

I just reviewed this product here, so I'm not going to say much about it now. It is a great product though and I'd definitely recommend it.

Laura Geller Blush & Brighten in Pink Buttercream

I have a few Laura Geller blushes and I love them all but I haven't used them recently because I've been obsessed with drugstore blushes. It's always nice to go back to an old favourite though and this Pink Buttercream is stunning for the cheeks this time of year.

Revlon Lip Butter in Sweet Tart

Like I said, I haven't been wearing much makeup recently but when I do I've been picking up this Revlon lip butter in Sweet Tart, It's a gorgeous, easy to wear, raspberry pink that's very pigmented and glossy.

So those are my favouties of this month.

Hope you all have a great August!

Project 10 Pan

Hullo!

Project 10 Pan has been around awhile now and a lot of bloggers take part in it.

It's a great Idea, especially if like me you have lots of certain products hanging around that just seem like they never get used up!

The idea is to pick 10 products and try to use them up before you start buying more!

The Products I picked are:

Laura Geller Spackle Under Makeup Primer
- 10% Left -
I've had this for going on 2 years now and it's very nearly finished, I'm determined to use it up completely if i'm going to be buying another one.

N-SPA Apple Mint Crunch Body Scrub
 - 90% Left -
I own so much bath products that I literally have been given a warning by the parents to stop cluttering the bathroom cupboards with half empty bottles! Tut Tut.

The Body Shop Satsuma Body Butter
- 40% Left -
One of my favourites lines from the body shop is their body butters and I own about 12 of them now! Which means I seriously need to start using them up!

Aussie Dual Personality Smooth and Shine Milk
- 80% Left -
I love Aussie product but they can be slightly out of my price range which means I get slightly carried away when they are on clearance in Superdrug! I picked up a few of these bottles, so I'm making more of an effort to actually use them!

19 Mirror Shine Lipstick in Bee-Hive
 - 50% Left -
I used to use this lipstick all the time but recently I've been more into other lip products. I picked this because I really want to see if I can get back into it as I remember loving how it used to make my lips feel :-)  Super Soft and moisturized!

The Body Shop Love Ect... EDP
- 10% Left -
I love this perfume but I own so many at the moment I want to start finishing some of the bottles, I'm nearly through with this one so It shouldn't take long!

Demeter Jelly Belly Wild Blackberry Peach Cobbler Cologne Spray
- 99% Left -
I really like it but I always seem to pass on it in the mornings when I'm picking what fragrance to wear, so I've decided to throw it in my handbag and see if I have more of a chance of using it up!

Garnier Miracle Skin Perfector BB Cream
- 8% Left -
I have a love/hate relationship with this BB cream, some days it looks great on me then other days it can look horrific! All according on how my skin is on the day I guess. I don't think I'll be buying it again, so as soon as I can finish it the quicker I can go try something different.

The Body Shop Carrot Moisture Cream
- 60% Left -
I used to use this a lot but later found products that I felt were better so I hip it in the back of my draw. I'm determined to finish it! It's only a 50ml tub so It shouldn't take too long :-)

Soap and Glory Hand Food
- 30% Left -
I really love this hand cream, it smells gorgeous but I was recently given a new tube for Christmas so I want to finish it soon.

So that's the products I'm going to try to use a lot more of!

Are you taking part in a Project 10 Pan?

What products are you trying to use up?

December 2012 Favourites

Hi Ladies!

These are a few of my favourite products from the last month!

I've been trying to be a good girl and start to wear primers under my foundation again so the last few weeks I've been putting on my Laura Geller Spackle Primer. It's a very good primer and I'll be reviewing it soon.
For my eyes I've been using the MUA Undressed Palette which is a lovely palette and I can't wait to do my review on it. In the winter I like to do a strong smokey eye and then just use a nude lipstick, one I've been loving is MAC HUE it a glossy nude/pink colour. On my cheeks I have been using a stronger blush than usual which is my Laura Geller Blush 'N Brighten in Pink Buttercream, then to give my cheeks a nice glow I've been using the Bourjois Eye Shadow Pot in Citron Givre as a cheek highlighterI've also been using a lot of heat on my hair this December so Andrew Barton's The Straight Answer Hot Iron Protection Spray has been a savior. I always find my hands a bit dry in the winter so I've been loving Soap and Glory's Hand Food, it smells gorgeous and really helps to keep the dry skin away. For fragrances I've been wearing Vera Wang's Princess Night and DKNY Be Delicious. For some reason I've been loving the smell of fresh apples this winter!

What have you been loving these last few weeks?

Collection Post : The Blushers ;-)

Hello Gorgeous Ladies!

So today I wanted to write another Collection Post and decided on Blusher.

I haven't been wearing blush for long because I've always had high pigmentation in my cheeks already and I was scared that I would make it worse but I've since learnt what works for me and have picked up a few blushers in the last year and I wanted to show them off to you all ;-)

MUA - Shade 4

This is a Blush that I won in a giveaway a few months back, its a gorgeous, bright coral that can be a bit frightening for us pale girls but if you use a light hand it looks gorgeous. I was so amazed at how pigmented and smooth it is for the price. I've been waiting for my local Superdrug to stock up so I can buy some more :-)

Bourjois -  Rose De Jaspe

This is a very sheer blush, great for those days when you just want a simple wash of colour on your cheeks. I picked this up in TK Maxx in a set with a lip gloss and nail polish. I was so excited as I've always wanted to try a Bourjois Blusher but they can be quite pricey.  This is a great starter blush for girls like me who are scared to try a bright blush.

Laura Geller - Blush 'N Brighten - Ethereal Rose and Sateen Subtle Berry

This was my first ever blusher which came in a Laura Geller QVC set, its a beautiful blusher that gives you the choice to either wear one on there own or to mix both together. In the swatch below I mixed them together, although they are both very pretty on there own. Ethereal Rose is a light pink with lovely pink glitter running through it and the Sateen Subtle Berry is a lovely deep berry with shimmer.

Laura Geller - Blush 'N Brighten - Pink Buttercream

This is another blusher that I bought in a set from QVC, it's a gorgeous berry pink with an apricot gold shimmer running though it. Simply gorgeous. It's very pigmented so I like to use a light hand when applying.

You can still get the Set that I bought from QVCUK and here is the link

MAC- Mocha

This is a blush that came in a lovely set last Christmas. I'm in love with this blush, it gives you that to die for "just came in from the cold" look. It has great pigmentation and goes on very smooth. I can't wait to try some more MAC blushers!

"From L - R - MUA - Shade 4, Bourjois - Rode De Jaspe, Laura Geller - Ethereal Rose & Sateen Subtle Berry Duo, Laura Geller - Pink Buttercream and MAC - Mocha."

So they are all the Blushers I own, I really want to get some more. Especially some E.L.F Studio blushers, they look really nice :-)

Do you have a favourite blush??

Laura Geller 5 Piece Bake Sale Beauty Collection

Laura Gellers Bake Sale Set

Hey Everyone,

Laura Geller was one of the first brands I started using back last year when I started to get interested in make up. My Nan had been using her products for years through QVC so I decided to give her a go. I recieved My first Laura Geller products for christmas that year and I was amazed, The holy Grail product for me was her Balance and Brighten, Its a foundation that is made in Italy and It just makes your make up look so smooth and natural. Although back then her lightest foundation was in Fair and whilst good in the summer didn't quite match my skin colour in the winter. Then recently I heard she had brought out a new shade in Porcelain so I decided to buy some more of her products and this is the set I bought.

What you get :

Spackle Tinted Primer in Champagne (59g)

Spakle is a very popular product from the Laura Geller brand and I can see why. I have there normal spackle also which is just clear based and both really good primers. This is the Champagne one and I dont think you can see it but it has tiny golden shimmers that give your skin just enough glow without looking like you have stuck glitter chunks to your face.

Balance-n-Brighten - available in Porcelain, Fair, Medium or Tan (9g) -

In Porcelain

This is a great foundation but sometimes I don't find it gives me enough coverage so I do like to use a different foundation and then use this like a finishing powder. I love how natural this makes my skin look.

Baked Eye Pie Shadow Trio in Birthday Cake (7.5g)

In  Chocolate, Mocha and Creamy Strawberry

This is a great trio of colours, they can be quite subtle if you want them to be by using them dry or if you want a stronger look, use them wet. That's what is great about the Laura Geller products, they where first a mouse and can be used both wet or dry without ruining the products.

Blush-n-Brighten Baked Cheek Colour in Pink Buttercream (9g) -

In Pink Buttercream

This colour is lovely but it is a bit to dark for my pale skin so when I do use it, it is with a very light hand.

Italian Marble Lipstick in Strawberry Toffee (3.4g)

In Strawberry Toffee

This is a lovely lipstick, it's so smoth and hydrating. A very nice everyday pink colour.

So thats The Bake Sale set, I think Its lovely, the products are all in great sizes and you get a lot if quality make up for your pennies. :)

Thanks, Linzi xx
