The "I LOVE MAKEUP" TAG

Hullo Ladies!

I just saw this tag on a new post from Just Jess  and I thought I'd take part. I loved her answers and you guys should go have a read :-)

When Did You Begin Loving Makeup?

I've worn makeup on and off for a while now, I think it first started in my early teens when I was becoming more "Alternative" and I used to buy the neon eyeshadows from Stargazer but had no clue what to do with them. I stopped for a time and just applied some foundation and mascara when I was going to a party or something. I really started getting into makeup when I was 18, believe it or not it was QVC that got me interested. Laura Geller, Bobbi Brown, Smashbox. Although I couldn't afford them I loved watching the makeup artists at work creating these gorgeous looks. Then I found the beauty Guru's on Youtube and my addiction kicked in full force!

How Do You Feel Without Makeup?

If I wasn't at home helping to care for my mam I'd probably wear makeup everyday Like I used to but It's just not pratical at the moment, I don'tmind popping to the shop for bread and milk without any on but I wouldn't go out for the whole day without any on. Not just because I feel I look my best when I have mae up on but I actually really love the time I have applying makeup. It's relaxing to me and I love the confidence boost it gives me.

What Do You Like About Makeup?

Like I just mentioned, It's great at boosting confidence and some of my favourite compliments have been about my make up. Mostly from women obviously, which I think is great because us women know what were talking about when it comes to makeup ;-) I find applying makeup relaxing too, sometimes when on a night out it's the best part of my night! Sad but true :-)

What Are Your Three Holy Grail Makeup Products?

It's so hard to choose just three as I have many that are my holy grails!

-  Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation -

I've been wearing this one for years now, It's my favourite ever foundation. It's great on my dry skin, has perfect coverage and lasts forever. Sadly It's very expensive so I try and only use it on special occasions so I don't need to buy it constantly. Usually one bottle a year will work.

- Bobbi Brown Long Wear Gel Liner -

Another product I've worn for years, it's the longest wearing liner I've ever used and that includes, liquids, pencils, pens and other gels. It looks beautiful on and one little tub has lasted for two years and it's still going strong!! I know some people say how short a gel liners life span can be but I think if you take precautions, like always keeping the lid screwed shut when it's not in use then you can use it for longer.

- MAC Ruby Woo Lipstick -

This is a recent edition to my lipstick collection and I really can't understand why I didn't purchase it sooner. It's the most gorgeous matte red I've ever seen. It expensive but worth it. Also if you live in the UK, wait until Debenhams have a 10% off sale :-) It can be quite drying and I've found that it's best to try not apply it too much during the day/night as this makes it worse. There really no need to apply it ever hour on the hour because  It has great lasting power and that really saves your lips :-)

So there you go! Another lovely TAG done :-) Hope you liked it!

I TAG everyone who reads this and if you do take part remember to send me the link! I'd love to read your answers :-)

Hope you all have a great weekend!

Top 10 Christmas Movies

Hullo Ladies!

To me, one of the best things about Christmas is being able to watch all those amazing Christmas Movies that you can't seem to watch throughout the rest of the year with out people looking at you like your weird or something......Hmmm only me then? Okay small rant over. Here are my personal top 10 favourite Christmas Movies!

The Muppets Christmas Carol

This is my all time favourite Christmas movie, me and my brother watch it together at least once every year. It's an amazing version of Charles Dickens A Christmas Carol with loads of hilarious, heart breaking and beautiful moments from all our Muppet favourites.

The Grinch

Another favourite that I never grow bored of.
Jim Carrey is amazing in it, both scary and funny as The Grinch Who Stole Christmas.

The Nightmare Before Christmas

An all time classic from Tim Burton. I remember being I'll with Pneumonia when I was about nine years old and watching this in the Hospital. It's pleasing to the eye and children and adults love it alike.  Jack Skeleton starts to get bored with Halloween and is delighted to find Christmas Town and decided that he should be Father Christmas that year.

ELF

Some of the funniest moments in Crimbo movie history. Will Ferrell is super funny as the Human who was brought up by Elves and goes to New York to find his father.

Home Alone 1 & 2

Okay I cheated here, together this makes Eleven movies but I really couldn't decide which one to choose as I love them both. Kevin is a little boy who after finding himself alone without him family around the holiday season takes on a pair of criminals to save christmas

 A Christmas Carol

I watched this again last night on Netflix and I really loved how dark it is to the other Christmas Carol/ Scrooge movies that have been released over the years. It's beautiful and Jim Carrey plays not only Scrooge but all three of the Ghosts! It's definitely one you should take the time to watch.

White Christmas

A Classic Christmas movie that humourous, beautiful and full of amazing songs.

Jingle All The Way

Another funny one, this one with Arnold Swarchenegger as a dad looking for the present his son has asked for on Christmas Eve. The only thing is...he can't find it anywhere and meets a few unfortunate events along the way.

Miracle On 34th Street (1994)

James Attenborough plays Santa Clause in the sweet movie about a girl whose forgotten her Christmas Spirit and a real Santa who's needs help getting out of trouble.

The Polar Express

A few years ago I was doing work experience in a local primary school around the holiday season and I remember my class watching this and I was enthralled. It's again, another beautiful movie, has a great storyline and stars Tom Hanks.

Is your favourite on the list?

If it isn't make sure you tell me in the comment section!

I'm always on the lookout for a new christmas movie :-)

I'm off to go watch Home Alone.

Hope you have all had a lovely Weekend!

Eau My Goddy God - Taylor Swift - Wonderstruck

Hullo Ladies!

So for my 21st Birthday one Of my presents was a 100ml Bottle of Taylor Swift Wonderstruck and I have to say I'm in love with it.

I first smelt Wonderstruck back last Christmas after I received a tester postcard from The Perfume Shop after I bought some sets from them and I really didn't like it. I think it must have been old or something because It just smelt off to me. Very sour.

But not long after I tested it out again in store and really liked it. I've been wanting my own bottle ever since.

I was lucky enough to find it on Sale in Superdrug a few days after my Birthday so I used some of the money I was given.

Here are the delicious notes!

Top: raspberry, dewberry, green tea, freesia and apple blossom.

Middle: sweet vanilla. honeysuckle and white hibiscus.

Base: Amber, Musk, Sandalwood and Peach.

Wonderstruck is a Fruity Floral.

It's an explosion of delicious fruit but stays unique with the tea and apple blossom note.

It's one of the more interesting celebrity fragrances and I can see why so many people love it.

The lasting power is like most celebrity fragrances though which can be it's downfall. I love it so much though that I don't mind re-spraying. All though this does mean that I'm going through the bottle very quickly...opps!

Either way I'm super happy to have this perfume in my collection and can't wait to try out her other scents!

What do you think of Wonderstruck? Are you a fan?

WISHLIST: ASOS Curve Dresses For The Party Season!

Hullo Ladies!

Party season is here and with my obsession with ASOS back in full force I've made this new Wishlist post about all the lovely dresses I'm corrently salvating over!

This looks gorgeous! The pattern is so beautiful and expensive looking.

I bought this one!
It's a lot longer that the picture shows though! I like it though so I'm keeping it. It's more of a Midi than a Mini. Which I think I'm more comfortable with :-)

I only recently bought my first body con and it's a big step for me as they can show all your lumps and bumps but I also think they can make you look sexy as hell when done right!

Another gorgeous Bodycon! I've seen many Plus Sized bloggers who look amazing in graphic dresses like this :-)

I love the colour and the cut of this dress, It looks like it would be super flattering on.

This is a gorgeous dress that would be great for a formal party, maybe for a work due or something like that. It looks beautiful and the lace gives it a sexy edge.

Are you on the look out for a new party dress this season?

I've bought a few for my Aunties 25th Wedding Anniversary thats happening later this month. You can hopefully help me decide which to wear!
