TAG: How Much Is My Face Worth?

Hullo Ladies!

Some time last year this TAG post was very popular and although I was excited to do it I never did for some reason, recently though I've seen it pop up again and decided to finally do it!

Kinda scared on what the total will be but I know that in reality I'm pretty good with my money, I like to find bargains and looking at the products I've chosen as what I use on my face on a regular basis recently I can tell you that I've bought every single product on some sort of deal, whether it was because of a 3 for 2 offer or a discount code :-)

Obviously though I can't remember what I actually payed for all these product but I have looked up there retail price and that's the total I'll be showing today.

So these are all the product's I've been using on my face recently, some are brand new and some are old favorites :-)

Here we go!

Garnier Moisture Match Cream in Dry to Very Dry = £5.99

The Body Shop Tea Tree Pore Minimiser =  £7.50

Estee Lauder Double Wear in Shell= £28.50

Too Faced Shadow Insurance = £17.00

Wow. Even with the offers and discounts included that's kind of scary!

It's about £50 more than I expected it to be but still not as high as some of the TAG post's I've read ;-)

Have you done this TAG yet? I'f you haven't then I TAG you to do it!

September Favourites 2013

Hullo Ladies!

It's October :-) I'm super excited! Is it time to watch Hocus Pocus yet? Please say it is!

Not as many favourites as usual this month but as I received lots of goodies for my birthday this month I'm gonna take a guess and say next months favourites is going to be a lot bigger :-)

So here they are!

La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo -  I've been using this for over a month now and I really like it. I use it once a day, usually before I go to bed and I find it helps with blemish. I haven't magically stopped getting them and they don't vanish like magic as soon as I apply this but I really think it helps.

Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation -  I'm in love with this foundation! It's one of the best drugstore foundations I've tried and I'd definitely be repurchasing it. It's medium coverage and long lasting. I find it works great on my dry skin.

Bobbi Brown Long Wear Gel Liner in Black Ink - I seem to always be talking about this product so I wont say much about it now. Just that I love it and I'll always repurchase.

Nails Inc Nail Polish in Chelsea - I'm pretty sure I got this in last years Lucky Dip although I can't be sure. It's a  very dark plummy red that really just looks black on the nail. I'ts gorgeous though, a great Autumn colour. I feel very sexy wearing it ;-)

Burts Bees Acai Berry Lip Balm - I love Burts Bees lip balm and as the colder weather gets here my lips get dryer by the day, this balm has been my saviour in the month of September. It's worked wonders for my lips, like I knew it would. Burt Bees lip balms are definitely holy grail products for me.

The Body Shop Seaweed Ionic Clay Mask - I recently picked this up in my latest skincare binge and I'm so glad I did. It works wonders and I don't care how many times my family laugh at me when I come down the stairs with it on. I'll be reviewing this beauty soon!

So that's everything I've been loving this month. Whats been yours?

July Favourites 2013

Hi Again :-)

It's August soon..that's just way too scary.

Here are some of the products I've been loving this month and why.

Burts Bees Lip Balm

I've said it plenty of times on this blog. The Burts Bees lip balms are my favourite out there. I've been using the mango one frequently this month. I haven't been that interested in applying a lot of makeup so most days its just this. It's an amazing hydrating lip balm that smells lush!

Michael Kors Very Hollywood EDP

I've been loving this perfume this month, it's floral, fresh and girly. I'm not usually a fan of floral perfumes but this has some fruity notes that keep it from being head ache inducing for me. I was given this last year for my birthday and I was so happy as I wouldn't have thought to try it otherwise!

Leighton Denny Indulgence Nail Polish

I'm a big fan of red nail polish, especially in the summer and this Leighton Denny polish is my favourite at the moment. It's very opaque and looks great after just two coats. I have it on my fingers and toes as it looks amazing on both.

L'Oreal Skin Perfection Micellar Solution

I just reviewed this product here, so I'm not going to say much about it now. It is a great product though and I'd definitely recommend it.

Laura Geller Blush & Brighten in Pink Buttercream

I have a few Laura Geller blushes and I love them all but I haven't used them recently because I've been obsessed with drugstore blushes. It's always nice to go back to an old favourite though and this Pink Buttercream is stunning for the cheeks this time of year.

Revlon Lip Butter in Sweet Tart

Like I said, I haven't been wearing much makeup recently but when I do I've been picking up this Revlon lip butter in Sweet Tart, It's a gorgeous, easy to wear, raspberry pink that's very pigmented and glossy.

So those are my favouties of this month.

Hope you all have a great August!

REVIEW - Burt's Bees Lip shimmers

Hello Ladies,

Today I'm reviewing another product that I received in my Burt's Bees Grab Bag, these are their Lip Shimmers in Rhubarb and Watermelon.

I don't really notice any shimmer in the two that I received so to me they are more or less a tinted lip balm.

Although they are very pigmented for a tinted lip balm and have even more colour than some of  the 17 mirror shine lipsticks.  They have a great coverage, taking care of any imperfections you may have on your lips.

They have a lovely minty freshness to them and a slight tingle, which unlike the Soap and Glory Sexy Mother Pucker lip gloss, I actually like the feeling of these on my lips.

The top swatch is Rhubarb and the bottom swatch is Watermelon. Rhubarb is a lovely natural red and Watermelon is a nice mauve pink.

Rhubarb would be a wonderful colour for women who are just starting to wear reds on their lips because it's not too powerful or bright.

The only problem I have with these are that  if you turn them up they won't turn back down again so be careful :-)

It's a 100% Natural and costs £5.99 on the Burt's Bees Website,

Have you tried these Lip Shimmers before?

Thanks,
Linzi  :-) xx

REVIEW: Burt's Bees Milk and Honey Body Lotion

Hullo Ladies,

I have had a few comments on my Burt's Bees Grab Bag haul about the Milk and Honey Body Lotion, there are a lot of people out there that seems to love this body lotion and I can see why :-)

It's a very light, thin lotion that sinks very quickly into your skin. Its non-greasy and definetley moisturising enough for my dry skin.

It contains: Milk, Honey, Grape Seed Oil, Coconut, Beeswax and Shea

This is probably the best smelling thing that came in my Grab Bag, it's a very creamy sweet scent when first applied and once it sinks into the skin it becomes even sweeter.

Recently I gave some to my mum to try and she picked up on the coconut scent straight away and it appealed to her, we both agreed that it's a very comforting smell :-)

I usually apply it just before bed and still smell it on my skin and clothes when I wake up.
As I'm a fan of sweet smells this is a winner for me, If your not comfortable with that kind of scent then maybe try looking into another Burt's Bees body lotion, they have a few different varieties and scents.

I have also noticed that this seems to calm the redness on my skin when its on so I'm going to be re-buying this once I run out.

The Burt's Bees website says that its 99% Natural but on the bottle it says its 98.8 % so I think this may be the original version (I shall look into it for you all) and lasts for up to 24 hours apparently, I don't know if its exactly 24 hours but it does last a great amount of time. On the website it's priced at £9.99 for 170g.

So it was definitely worth me buying the Grab Bag just for this product, although I wouldn't say all Burt's Bees products are great but they really have some winning products and for me this is one of them!

Thanks,
 Linzi xx

Edit: This week I received a set from Burt's Bees and it had another Milk and Honey Body Lotion in it but I smelt it and it was not as lovely as this one :-( the only difference I can see is that they have now made it 99% natural but have messed up the scent! Sadly I would choose a nice smell over .2% more natural a product any day! So disappointing, hopefully I can still get the original somewhere!
