TAG: How Much Is My Face Worth?

Hullo Ladies!

Some time last year this TAG post was very popular and although I was excited to do it I never did for some reason, recently though I've seen it pop up again and decided to finally do it!

Kinda scared on what the total will be but I know that in reality I'm pretty good with my money, I like to find bargains and looking at the products I've chosen as what I use on my face on a regular basis recently I can tell you that I've bought every single product on some sort of deal, whether it was because of a 3 for 2 offer or a discount code :-)

Obviously though I can't remember what I actually payed for all these product but I have looked up there retail price and that's the total I'll be showing today.

So these are all the product's I've been using on my face recently, some are brand new and some are old favorites :-)

Here we go!

Garnier Moisture Match Cream in Dry to Very Dry = £5.99

The Body Shop Tea Tree Pore Minimiser =  £7.50

Estee Lauder Double Wear in Shell= £28.50

Too Faced Shadow Insurance = £17.00

TheBalm Nude Tude Palette = £26.50

TheBalm Mary-Lou Manizer = £16.00

Bobbi Brown Gel Liner in Black Ink = £17.50

Burt's Bees Lip Balm in Acai Berry = £3.69

Sleek Blush By 3 Palette in Sweet Cheeks = £9.99

Soap and Glory Sexy Mother Pucker Gloss Stick in Nudist = £8.00

Soap and Glory Thick and Fast Mascara = £10.00

Total = £150.67

Wow. Even with the offers and discounts included that's kind of scary!

It's about £50 more than I expected it to be but still not as high as some of the TAG post's I've read ;-)

Have you done this TAG yet? I'f you haven't then I TAG you to do it!

September Favourites 2013

Hullo Ladies!

It's October :-) I'm super excited! Is it time to watch Hocus Pocus yet? Please say it is!

Not as many favourites as usual this month but as I received lots of goodies for my birthday this month I'm gonna take a guess and say next months favourites is going to be a lot bigger :-)

So here they are!

La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo -  I've been using this for over a month now and I really like it. I use it once a day, usually before I go to bed and I find it helps with blemish. I haven't magically stopped getting them and they don't vanish like magic as soon as I apply this but I really think it helps.

Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation -  I'm in love with this foundation! It's one of the best drugstore foundations I've tried and I'd definitely be repurchasing it. It's medium coverage and long lasting. I find it works great on my dry skin.

Bobbi Brown Long Wear Gel Liner in Black Ink - I seem to always be talking about this product so I wont say much about it now. Just that I love it and I'll always repurchase.

Nails Inc Nail Polish in Chelsea - I'm pretty sure I got this in last years Lucky Dip although I can't be sure. It's a  very dark plummy red that really just looks black on the nail. I'ts gorgeous though, a great Autumn colour. I feel very sexy wearing it ;-)

Burts Bees Acai Berry Lip Balm - I love Burts Bees lip balm and as the colder weather gets here my lips get dryer by the day, this balm has been my saviour in the month of September. It's worked wonders for my lips, like I knew it would. Burt Bees lip balms are definitely holy grail products for me.

The Body Shop Seaweed Ionic Clay Mask - I recently picked this up in my latest skincare binge and I'm so glad I did. It works wonders and I don't care how many times my family laugh at me when I come down the stairs with it on. I'll be reviewing this beauty soon!

So that's everything I've been loving this month. Whats been yours?

21st Birthday Wishlist!

Hullo Ladies!

My birthdays less than a month away, so like last year, I've decided to make a Birthday wishlist post :-)

1) Chanel Chance

I've been wanting this perfume for ages and whilst out shopping for mothers day a few months back with my brother he promised that he'd get it for my 21st. I plan to do whatever I have to, to make him keep that promise....even if I have to put snakes in his bed....it will happen!

2) MAC Lipstick in Ruby Woo

Ever since I began falling in love with cosmetics and the beauty world, i've heard about Ruby Woo. It's probably one of if not the most famous MAC lipstick. It's a gorgeous red that I need to own!

3) NARS Love Thrill Gift Set

This will probably never happen but yesterday I found this NARS gift set on offer and I think it would be an amazing way to try out the brand.

4) La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo

My skin has been awful over the last year and I can't seem to find a product that does anything to help it. Over the last few months though, I've been hearing more and more about this apparently "holy grail" product for a lot of bloggers and I really want to give it a try!

5) Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation

I ask for this every year, it's my favourite foundation ever. It's great coverage and lasts all day. It's expensive though so I always wait till my birthday to repurchase it, hopefully debenhams will have a 10% off code around that time as well :-)

6) New Look Inspire Peplum Dress

I found this on ASOS last night and for the price it looks awesome! I've become a fan of peplum these last few weeks and I think this dress would be lovely and flattering for my holiday in October.

7) Sleek Sweet Cheeks Blush Palette

I've been wanting this since it came out, all three colours look gorgeous! I'm a big fan of the sleek blushes and hope to pick up a few more soon :-)

8) Inspire Leather Look Jacket

Everyone talks about a leather jackets is a basic essential in everyone's wardrobe but real leather jackets are priced around a £100 and all though I know they're probably worth it and will last for years. I don't want my first want to be that expensive. What if I don't like it after the first couple of weeks? So I found this faux leather on the new look website and I'm definitely going to try it on in store sometime soon.

9) Bobbi Brown Long Wear Gel Liner

This is my holy grail eyeliner but my pot dried up a few months back and I've been missing it terribly. I'm hoping to pick it up soon, either this or try MAC's blacktrack which I've heard is also a great liner :-)

That's everything I can think of that I'm lusting after for my birthday!

What are you lusting after for you birthday? Or if it's just past, what was your favourite gift?

Beauty Products Worth The Hype #1

Hi Ladies, I've been a rubbish blogger this month. I just haven't had the inspiration or energy to write anything! I've been meaning to do this post in awhile though so I'm hoping it's gonna be my kick start back into daily blogging! Let's hope :-)

Here are some of the products I feel are definitely Worth The Hype!

Urban Decay Naked Palette - One of if not 'The' most famous eye shadow palette's ever made. It's talked about on probably every beauty blog ever created at some point and there's a big reason why. It's stunning. Mine is looking a bit worse for wear as I've used it on a daily basis for nearly two years now. It was my first high end make up purchase and it was well worth the money.

MAC Cremesheen Lipstick in Creme Cup - My first MAC purchase and I'm on my second tube of it now. I keep it for special occasions and this is probably the only MAC product I will be re-purchasing. It's the most gorgeous nude pink. I love to wear it with a strong smokey eye on a night out.

Too Faced Shadow Insurance - When I first got into the whole 'beauty' thing, there was two eye shadow primers that everyone and their mother where talking about on the web. This one and the Urban Decay Primer Potion. I've tried both and I can't really see the difference in either them. They are both amazing at making your eye shadow bullet proof.

Bobbi Brown Long Wear Gel Liner -  Back about 18 months ago I was obsessed with finding the perfect liner for me and I did. The Bobbi Brown Gel Liners are expensive yet worth it in my eyes. They stay on me right up until I take them off. They go on smooth and dry instantly so I don't get any smudges which is something I hate, especially when you've just taken god knows how long doing your eye shadow!

MAC Studio Finish Concealer - I'd heard a lot about this concealer through the pixiwoo girls on youtube so on my birthday the year before last I picked it up. I love it and It's a great for hiding blemishes and redness. I use something a bit less drying for under my eyes but this is still an amazing concealer.

St Ives Apricot Scrub -I been using the St Ives Facial scrubs for a long time now. So long in fact that the scent of them is very comforting to me......strange I know. They just make my skin feel super soft and help with fighting blemishes! They are also very inexpensive which is always a plus in my book :-)

Burt's Bees Lip Balm - I got into the Burt's Bees lip balm when I bought their lucky dip bag last year. They are probably one of the only lip balms I find actually work on my dry lips. Not just soothing them at the time they're on my lips but keeping them hydrated for a long time after. My favourite's are the original and the mango.

The Body Shop Body Butter - I suffer with dry skin all year round so I always make sure I have a Body Shop Body Butter in the house. I love them. Some more than others but all of them do some form of good for my skin. My favourite ones are the Mango, Shea and Strawberry.

Real Techniques Buffing Brush - My brother bought me the Real Techniques Core Collection for Christmas and I've made good use out of it. The brush I love most is this Buffing Brush. I can understand why so many people love it, it helps me to achieve such a flawless application and as you can see from the dirty brush, I use it very often!

Collection 2000 Cream Puff - These were very popular not so long ago and I managed to pick up the colour Fairy Cake, it's a gorgeous pinky/coral colour. Stunning in the Spring time when you just want a pop of colour to your look. It has great staying power and I don't find them too drying for my lips!

Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation  - I reviewed this foundation here - where I talk about it in a lot more detail. All I'll say is that I love this stuff, it makes me feel better about myself when I wear it...which is what makeup is for right?!

Leighton Denny Nail Polish - Supermodel - Not long ago I had an addiction to the QVC beauty channel and I often saw this beautiful shade being painted on many nails! When I found out it was being offered for free with a magazine I ran out looking everywhere for it! It's a gorgeous neutral polish that flatters everyone! When I painted my nan's nails with it she loved it so much that she went online and bought it the same night!

China Glaze - For Audrey - I have a love Audrey Hepburn movies. Sabrina and Roman Holiday are classics. I loved the idea of this being in memory of her and after I saw what the colour looked like I knew I had to have it! It's a stunning and sophisticated Tiffany Blue polish.

Hope you enjoyed this post and if you read it all then good for you!
I know it's been a long one ;-)

My Valentines Day Eye Look

Hullo Ladies!

I don't document my eye makeup often but for some reason I really wanted to today. I really liked what I came up with!

I used my Urban Decay 15th Anniversary palette, the MUA Undress Me Too Palette, my Bobbi Brown Black Ink Long Wear Gel Eyeliner, The Maybeline Colossal Mascara and I also used my Too Faced Shadow Insurance Eye Primer but forgot to photograph it.

From Left - Right - MUA Naked, MUA Shy, MUA Lavish, UD Junkshow and UD Blackout

After applying my primer, I used the MUA Undress Me Too palette, taking 'Naked' all over my lid. Then from the same palette I placed 'Shy' along the bottom of my lid, the inner corner and brow bone. Taking 'Lavish' I blend it through my contour.
To brighten it up and give it a pop of colour I very softly touched my brush to 'Junkshow' from Urban Decay and blended that into my contour. Then taking blackout I dabbed it on my outer corner, making sure to blend it well.
Then I lined my eye with my favourite liner Black Ink by Bobbi Brown also taking it half way across my bottom lash line. Then I finished the look off with some Maybeline Colossal Mascara.

So that's the eye shadow look I used today.  I haven't used my 15th Anniversary palette for ages so It was a nice change from the Naked palette.

Hope You Have All Had A Great Valentine's Day!

I'm finishing mine off by eating some chocolate and watching Death Note....can you tell I'm still single ;-)

REVIEW - Bobbi Brown Long Wear Gel Eyeliner - Black Ink

Hullo Lovely Ladies!

Back when I first started blogging in March I made a collection post about my Gel Eyeliners, featuring Bobbi Browns Black Ink.

There are a few reasons why I want to talk about it again today, one of them being that It's such a great product it needs to be spoken about more often and also that the first time I talked about it was only a collection post where it was mentioned briefly.

I bought a Bobbi Brown set from QVC around Halloween last year, In it I received two Long Wear Gel Eyeliners, a mascara and a Ultra Fine Eye Liner brush.

One of the Long Wear Eyeliners was Black Ink, It's an extremely pigmented black and goes on lovely and smooth.

The best thing about it? It lasts forever!

Even though I have dry skin on my face, my eye lids can be quite oily so most of the time my eye products would last me a few hours at best but this can last at least 24hrs.

GASP! I know...I'm a terrible person, sometimes I go to bed forgetting to take my make up off!!

Usually this is because I'm either too tired or too drunk to remember hehehe...come one....we've all done it :-)

So here is a thick and thin swatch of Black Ink, It's quite a dark shade so I usually only wear it on a night out. I used up a lot on Halloween as I drew a web and some spiders on my face with this because I knew it would last for ages.

Recently a friend and I where going to a party and she asked me to do her eyeliner for her, I tried using her Maybeline Gel Eyeliner and couldn't believe how hard it was to use, it went on far too wet for me , it smudged everywhere and didn't last nearly s long as I thought.

So I think that means Bobbi Brown has officially ruined me for any other gel eyeliner, I have never had to keep my eyes closed to wait for it to dry or smudged it so badly I had to start all over again.

If asked I would say this is worth every penny it costs.

I bought my set from here and it set me back £33.50 plus P+P but all the products separately would have cost me much more.

Hope you have all had a great day, it's been raining non stop here but I guess that's what Wales is known for :-)

Eye Looks : Pink: Easy Day time to Night time :-)

Hullo Everyone,

This is my first makeup look that I have put up on my blog so im a tad nervous!

I'm not in anyway a professional :) I just love to play around with make up!

I wanted to start with something simple so here I have done a day - night look using pink eyeshadows. I find it very hard to wear pink eyeshadow, its not a colour I gravitate towards sadly but I think it looks quite good in this look. It's deffinetly one I will be recreating again.

Day Time Look

I used the Urban Decay 15th Anniversary Palette.

On the lid I applied Tainted and then in the crease I added some of Junkshow.

Then I applied some Bobbi Brown long wear gel eyeliner in Espresso Ink using my Bobbi Brown Ultra Fine Eyeliner brush.

Then I used my Bobbi Brown Extreme Party Mascara in Black.

           Night Time Look

Blackout From the Urban Decay 15th Anniversary Palette.

So to make this into a bit more of a night time look I added some of Blackout into the outer corner.

I then blended the colour and added some more of my eyeliner to get a thicker line.

I like both looks, I find that the daytime look would be great to go somewhere casual like out with friends shopping or to the cinema and I would definitely wear the night time look for a night down the pub :-)

Hope you like the look!

Thanks,
 Linzi xx

My March Favorites

Happy April Fools day everyone!

Its the first of April today so Im writing a post on all the things I loved in March.

Viva Glam Gaga is a bright blue toned pink. Its a lovely colour for spring and is a lustre fomulation which means its very glossy on this lips. Sadly this one melted in my bag a few months back but Im still trying hard to use it.

The suns been great these last couple of weeks for so early in the spring, hopefully it means we will  have a hot summer this year. I've been wearing this everyday since the suns been out and im loving it. This is a great body butter for all skin types, It has a very exoctic pure coconut smell.

Bobbi Browns Long Wear Gel Eyeliner In Espresso Ink. This is my favorite eye liner and I have not just been wearing this all of last month but nearly all year and I'll be buying another when I run out. It such a smooth and pigmented colour to use and lasts all day.

Bobbi Brown Extreme Party Mascara in black, I recieved this in a set with two Bobbi Brown eye liners and a Ultra Fine eyeliner brush. Its a great mascara that gives you length and volume with out the clumps.

Mermaid Blue

This is a lovely bright metalic blue from Maybeline.

This is a NYC nail polish called Light -Camera - Glitter. I only bought it last week but It hasnt been off my nails since. I love it. It looks amazing over any colour :)

This is a mini bottle of OPI's Cajun Shrimp. I recieved it in a set from QVC. Its great for spring and summer. I love it on my toes :)

This is Love Etc, by The Body Shop. Its a really nice pretty scent that is not too imature. I bought it in a set in the sales. It came with a 200ml body wash and cost just £6. It's a lovely smelling perfume for the price. Ive been wearing nearly every day since I bought it.

This is a body spray from Boots' Natural Collection in Mango and Papaya. It's only £2 and is lovely and refreshing.

This last month I have been using Urban Decays Naked Pallete on my eyes a lot. Its great for a nice subtle eye and a bright lip.

I have been using Laura Geller Spackle Primer in Champayne this month, under my foundation, It gives a lovely glow to my skin and helps with any dry patches.

Carrot Moisture Cream from The Body Shop, great for a face cream and inexpensive at £4.

This is a small Lancome lip gloss that I recieved last christmas with a perfume set that included a mascara and eye shadow. Sadly it doesnt have a name written on it,  Its a light pink with lots a shimmer.

This is The Body Shop Born Lippy Lip Balm Stick in pomegranate, Its smells lovely and leaves your lips hydrated and smooth.

Flake Away by Soap and Glory

This is a great scrub that I use around three times a week, it leaves my skin smooth and smelling lovely.

                                                                    Thanks, Linzi xx

My Gel Eyeliner Collection (Bobbi Brown, MAC)

Hello!

I love to use Gel Eyeliners, they can be so easy to use once you have a great brush. My favorite brush to use so far is the Bobbi Brown Ultra Fine Liner brush.

First is Black Ink by Bobbi Brown, Its a strong, pure black that I like to use on a night out, It's a bit too much for me for every day wear. I used up most of i't around halloween time when I was a Sexy Witch.

*Kissy Face, Mwah Mwah *
The lipstick is Violetta from MAC

This is Espresso Ink by Bobbi Brown and it's more subtle than Black Ink and to me it is the perfect day time liner.

Next is Waveline from MAC and its a lovely colour but not so pigmented so I have to reapply it a good amount of times to get the colour I want.

Last but not least is Rich Ground a beautiful gold colour from MAC. It's smoth to go on and very pigmented.

I love them all in their own way, I find the Bobbi Brown Gel eyeliners last longer but the MAC Fluidlines come in the most amazing range of colours. So there they are :) Sorry for the chipped nails by the way, I went to a house party last night with lovely nails and came back with them looking like that. FAIL!

                                                                 Thanks, Linzi xx
