NOTD/REVIEW - Leighton Denny - Indulgence

Hullo Ladies!

It's been awhile since I did a NOTD post but I wanted to show you this Leighton Denny polish that I've been wearing constantly for the last few months.

I love bright colours in the Summer but sometimes instead of wearing a bright blue or neon orange I want something a bit more classic..

That's when I break out the red nail polish.

Indulgence is sexy, dark and goes with everything.

I picked this up in a set from TK Maxx at a good deal and it's worth looking there before you go out paying full price.

The application is great and it's looks amazing with just two coats.

It's best to use a top coat to seal it in as like most nail polishes it will start to flake after a few days.

You can buy Leighton Denny online at Marks & Spencers or on the QVCUK website.

Have you tried Leighton Denny?

Do you have a favourite?

July Favourites 2013

Hi Again :-)

It's August soon..that's just way too scary.

Here are some of the products I've been loving this month and why.

Burts Bees Lip Balm

I've said it plenty of times on this blog. The Burts Bees lip balms are my favourite out there. I've been using the mango one frequently this month. I haven't been that interested in applying a lot of makeup so most days its just this. It's an amazing hydrating lip balm that smells lush!

Michael Kors Very Hollywood EDP

I've been loving this perfume this month, it's floral, fresh and girly. I'm not usually a fan of floral perfumes but this has some fruity notes that keep it from being head ache inducing for me. I was given this last year for my birthday and I was so happy as I wouldn't have thought to try it otherwise!

Leighton Denny Indulgence Nail Polish

I'm a big fan of red nail polish, especially in the summer and this Leighton Denny polish is my favourite at the moment. It's very opaque and looks great after just two coats. I have it on my fingers and toes as it looks amazing on both.

L'Oreal Skin Perfection Micellar Solution

I just reviewed this product here, so I'm not going to say much about it now. It is a great product though and I'd definitely recommend it.

Laura Geller Blush & Brighten in Pink Buttercream

I have a few Laura Geller blushes and I love them all but I haven't used them recently because I've been obsessed with drugstore blushes. It's always nice to go back to an old favourite though and this Pink Buttercream is stunning for the cheeks this time of year.

Revlon Lip Butter in Sweet Tart

Like I said, I haven't been wearing much makeup recently but when I do I've been picking up this Revlon lip butter in Sweet Tart, It's a gorgeous, easy to wear, raspberry pink that's very pigmented and glossy.

So those are my favouties of this month.

Hope you all have a great August!

Leighton Denny Plush Pink DUPE!

Hey Ladies,

I very rarely do a DUPE post, In fact I can't remember ever doing one!

This is an easy dupe though as I'm an amatuer ;-) If you are looking for good dupes for products check out Emily Noel's videos on her Youtube channel. She's amazing at this stuff!

My favourite Pink nail polish has to be Leighton Denny Plush Pink, so imagine my delighted surprise when looking through my collection I noticed that I had another polish that looked surprisingly similar.

Shocking Pink by Barry M!

I've owned it for awhile now and I just never clued in!

From L-R - Barry M Shocking Pink and Leighton Denny Plush Pink

So when I first noticed it I was like...."well they may look the same in the bottle but what about the application?!"

So I applied them both and I have to say the application is also very similar.

From L- R - Barry M,  Leighton Denny.

These are both one coats so that means they're both very opaque polishes.

Both are very glossy and the lasting power are both really good too.

So if you fancy a Leighton Denny dupe for £2.99 check out Shocking Pink from Barry M :-)

Hope You Have All Had A Good Week So Far!

My Favourite Spring Nail Polishes

Hullo Ladies

I haven't talked about nail polish in ages so I thought I'd do a post on my favourites for Spring, these are polishes that I've been loving in the last few weeks.

Even though this is a "Favourites" post, these are in no particular order.

Leighton Denny - Plush Pink. I'm wearing it now and it's my favourite pink polish. It's gorgeous and goes on really nice and smooth. Usually I get fed up quickly with a nail colour and change them day to day but I just love the way this looks that, shockingly, I keep it on for days at a time!

Nails Inc Sprinkles - Pudding Lane. I love Nails Inc but this must be the most interesting one out my (rather large) collection. It's so amazing and I love it for when the suns out and I can show it off at its best.

GOSH Special Edition - Lavender Love. I don't know if you can still get this but If you can find it in your local Superdrug I suggest picking it up. It's a gorgeous lavender blue. It's beautiful on the nails.

Ciate - Bon Bon - I don't know if this is in the actual range as this came free with a magazine about a year ago (sorry!) It's a gorgeous nude though and I believe Ciate have a few of those in their line. It's a very warm toned nude which I seem to prefer.

Maybelline SuperStay - Mint For Life. I decided to buy a mint polish a few weeks ago for Spring and picked up this. I really like the Maybelline Nail polishes and will be picking up some more in the future. I love this colour and will probably be wearing it throughout Spring and Summer.

So those are my favourite Spring Nail Polishes.

I'm off to go paint my nails with Pink Plush!

Hope You Are All Having A Great Weekend :-)

Great finds! (Leighton Denny, RE-BORN + more)

Hullo!

It's Friiiiiiiday!!!

Just in case you didn't know already :-)

Like many Fridays I've spent my day shopping with my Nan, mainly because It's my parents Anniversary tomorrow and we both needed to find them something :-)

First stop was back to New Look to see what was left in the sales :-)

This is one of the things I bought my mam, she loves pairing the colours black and gold, especially with her accessories so I know for a fact she is going to love these!

They were down to just £2 in the New Look sale!

I picked up these last week and forgot to mention them ;-)

It's a lovely set, I love the butterfly's so much I wore them today and they're stunning.

All of them for just £2, so many pretty colours!

I've seen a lot of these spike bracelets lately and was so happy to find it on sale! A major 75% off.

It was originally £5 and down to just £1.25

This is another style that I've seen a lot lately, they're gorgeous.

This skull charm bracelet was originally £5.50 and down to £1.38

I'm looking forward to wearing them with the blue skater dress I bought last leek.

I also picked up these earrings to go with the bracelet, If they where at full price I wouldn't have bothered because I have had a lot of trouble with earrings like this, you wear them a few times and they break off but the were only £1 down from £4 :-) Seemed like it was worth a try!

Whilst I was also in New Look I picked up a new Maxi Dress and a T-shirt. I hate taking picture of clothes though! Sorry! The t-shirt was white and had an hawiian logo on it and the maxi dress is a very colour woven  print.

I also stopped in Poundland to see if they have any new Sinful Colors nail polish but they didn't, though I did see this Possibility Lemon Cheesecake lip balm. It smells amazing and is a whopping 20g. I've seen them in New Look before and always fancied them. I picked this up for a £1 :-)

Probably one of my best finds ever is this Leighton Denny Duo that I found in Tk Maxx...I was looking at the Nails Inc Crackle sets that they now have there but couldn't find an excuse to buy then as I recently bought the QVC TSV. So instead I looked at some other products and found this Leighton Denny set..I'd seen the same set before for around £9.99 and always put it back but I noticed that they had reduced it...to just £4.99!!!!

Two Leighton Denny polishes for less the £5...amazing!

The red "Indulgence" Is a gorgeous blue toned red and the dark grey colour "Graycious" I'm giving to my mam tomorrow as well as the earrings as It's a colour that I know she will love :-)

So those are my recent finds!

Found anything good in the summer sales recently??

REVIEW - Leighton Denny - Supermodel

Hullo Lovely Ladies!

Hope your all having a lovely weekend, right this moment I'm watching The Fresh Prince of Bel Air, whilst grating some cheese for the home made pizza's and also writing this review! That's multi-tasking for you!!!

This is a short review on the famous Leighton Denny polish in Supermodel.

This is one of his bestselling colours and I can understand why.

Nudes are very popular right now,  not so long ago if you wanted a neutral "office friendly" manicure then your choices were very limited. Most people went with a french manicure or a light sheer pink. Now we have a huge selection of nude polishes ranging from peachy tones to beige tones!

This is one of my favourite polishes, its very pigmented and you could really work it with just one coat but I like to darken the colour slightly with two coats.

Its very smooth and goes on like butter. I have a few of these nude shades but use none of them as much as I use this shade, usually when wearing a neutral colour I go a day and then want to change it to something brighter. I don't feel the same with this shade. I wan't to wear it constantly :-)

My Nan visited yesterday and she going away Monday so she asked my to paint her nails for her. She loves bright colours on her toes but you will never see her wearing a bright on her hands so I showed her this colour and she feel in love with it too. It looks great on her and now shes going to get one for herself :-)

This was free in a magazine I bought but I really wouldn't be afraid to buy it again from somewhere like QVC. I'm looking to try a few more from his range too :-)

Have you tried Supermodel??

Leighton Denny - Plush Pink - Review and Swatches

Hullo Beautiful Ladies!

So a few days ago I mentioned that I was going to be swatching my Leighton Denny polishes and first up is Plush Pink.

I picked this and Supermodel up in a Magazine and I'm so glad I did, this is a great pink and to look at it you would think that it was like any other pink polish out there but this is probably my favourite out of any that I own. It's unbelievably beautiful and very vibrant without being trashy in any way.

Plush Pink is a gorgeous, bright, blue toned pink with an amazing glossy finish.

I find that Leighton Denny nail polishes have fabulous formulas and this particular polish went on like butter, very smooth and pigmented.

I knew I was in love with this polish because I wore it for four days straight which is probably a record for me lately as I love to change my polish on a daily bases :-)

I really like the packaging of the Leighton Denny polishes, I think they look very professional but also simple and not too over done.

Leighton Denny polishes are usually priced at £11 each but you can get some great deals on the QVC Website and I have also seen some of his sets at my local TK Maxx but I was an idiot and didn't pick any up :-(

I will next time though :-)

Have you tried any Leighton Denny polishes? Have a favourite you can recommend?

New Haul (Includes - Leighton Denny, Bourjois and more)

Hey Lovely Ladies!

So...I have been a naughty girl and gone shopping again :-(

This lot is from over the weekend and the last two days though! So that makes me feel better hehe

So the first lovely products that I picked up on Saturday was this Leighton Denny Set.

I have been waiting to try Leighton Denny for ages and earlier in the month I picked up a couple of his nail polishes in a magazine but I'm forever hearing about his nail care products.

So I found this gorgeous set in Tk Maxx and it includes:

Leighton Denny 4 side nail file/buff
Best Defense Nail and Hand Cream
Leighton Denny Essential Remover
12ml Slick Tips Nail and Cuticle Oil
12ml Nail Colour in Starkers
Leighton Denny Nail White Pencil

and the best part..........

It was on clearance for just £13!!!!

How amazing is that?
I snatched it up as soon as I could hehe

I can't wait to do a review on this set, I have tried some of the things already and I'm loving them :-)

On the same day I also picked up another Nails Inc Set. I think this is the last one I'll be picking up for awhile.
I've got so many now and I don't want it to become excessive!

"For £14.99 I got Hanover Square,  Ganton Street, Motcomb Street and Orchard Street"

I might do a Nails Inc Collection post...what do you think?

So today my Nan took me out shopping and I noticed that the local outlet had a new shop....POUNDLAND!

I have heard so much about this store, my Nan must have thought it peculiar when I nearly sprinted from the car to get there!

I raced towards their beauty section and found these babies. Only yesterday I left a comment on another bloggers post uset about the fact that I have never found these in the UK! What a coinsedence!

"From L-R Daddy's Girl, 24/7, Tapping Nails and See You Soon"

Sinful Colors seems to be a popular nail polish brand and I managed to buy some that I have heard quite a lot about including the gorgeous 24/7

As soon as I picked up Tapping Nails I knew that it would look amazing on the toes...and I was right. I put it on as soon as I came home, my Barry M Fuchsia was looking quite horrible *It's been on for nearly three weeks :-O* It looks so pretty! It's a very unusual colour that just sparkles in the sun light :-)

So after Poundland I stopped in Tk Maxx *again* and found these Essie duo's, You got one nail colour and one treatment for £7.99, I choose the colour Cocktail Bliss and the Ridge Filling Base Coat.

Thankfully the name on the nail polish Is right this time, I Googled it as soon as I came home :-)

Also in Tk Maxx I found this Bourjois Little Round Pot Eye Shadow Collection.

They had a brown set too but I though I would use these shades a lot more often.

"From L - R Gris Delicat, Blanc Diaphane and Argent"

They're £9.99 for the whole set, which is a bargain, as they are  from £6.49 - £6.99 each in Boot's. I thought at first that they may be mini versions but nope...they're all full size.

I can't wait to try some new looks with these!

So I have been looking for some new sandles to show off my painted toes nails for the last few weeks but haven't found any I'm in love with, until I saw these babies in the Miss Selfridges Sale. They were originally £22 but were down to just £10! I love them!

They'll look lovely with the Sinful Color polish I have on me toes!!

Also I stopped in Boots to pick up some Palmers Coca Butter Body Lotion after trying a sample but I actually walked out empty handed ten minutes later after being followed around by a security guard the whole time I was in there....I felt like shouting "I'm not a thief!"

I hate it when that happens, I know that sadly a lot of people steal things but I'm the person who gets pissed off that I can't try the tester because someones taking it off the shelf!

I only ever have trouble with the security guards at Boots though...I have heard about it from other people too.
My 65 year old Nan was with me for cryng out loud, did they think she was the distraction while I stole the loot! Bahhahah

Hope you have all had a great day!

Nail Polish Haul :-)

Hullo Ladies,

Something I do often is become addicted to certain brands or certain products, lately I have been crazy for Nails Inc, they have a great colour range and you can usually find some amazing deals!

I have a feeling this certain addition  will be lasting some time, especially with all the swatching I plan to do in the coming weeks :-)

So I went shopping today and decided to stop in TK Maxx and spotted a whole shelf of Nails Inc sets!

Oh my giddy god I was in heaven...and then hell because of course I couldn't have them all! So which was I going to pick??

One hour later........teheheh

I ended up picking two different sets.

Both of them where priced at £12.99

I was stuck between this set and a Leighton Denny set but preferred the colours in this one :-)

From L-R: Clifford Street, Montpelier Square and Edinburgh Gate.

Clifford Street is a dark purple/grey with gold shimmer running through it, Montpelier Square is a smooth metallic silver and Edinburgh Gate is chunky multi glitter.

From L- R: Silver Glitter Caviar Top Coat, Fitzroy Square and Buckingham Street.

This is the second set I picked up, they're all so pretty!

I can't wait to experiment with them!

Then I stopped into Tesco for some food, I decided to check out the magazines and found these babies!

Thank god I didn't go for the Leighton Denny's in Tk maxx :-)

In Harper's Bazzar this month they have a range of three different full size Leighton Denny polishes you can choose from.

Yes I did pick up two!

They didn't have the third colour there which I think was some kind of coral or red.

I picked the amazingly bright Plush Pink and the lovely nude Supermodel!

I was so excited that I had found them that I may have done a some what embarrassing happy dance in the middle of the shop hehehe

The magazines are £4.20 each, which means I have two Leighton Denny polishes for lower than the price you pay for just one! Happy Times :-)

So that's my haul for today! I'm still waiting for my Nails Inc Lucky Dip set to come! I'm so excited to see what I get!

Hope you have all had a great day! :-)

Thanks, Linzi xxx
