Eau My Giddy God - Issey Miyake - Pleats Please EDT

Hullo Ladies!

I've been super busy this month so I have hardly posted anything lately but I thought I'd write up a perfume review as I seem to be obsessed with collecting perfumes again!

This is a new favourite of mine called Pleats Please by Issey Miyake.

I received a sample earlier in the year and fell in love instantly but I had so many perfumes to go through that I didn't allow myself to buy a new one.

Finally about a month ago I finished a few bottles around the same time so I made a few sneaky orders and Pleats Please was one of them.

I bought the 50ml bottle from Amazon for a great price so I suggest having a look on there :-)

I would call this a unique floral scent. It's so hard to explain because I've never smelt anything like it.

The notes are - Sweet Pea, Pear, Peony, Musk, Indole, Vanilla, Cedar and Patchouli.

It's long lasting and has great silage so I've had many complements when wearing it.

It also develops beautifully over time and I can honestly say it's one of my favourite perfumes right now.

Have you tried this perfume? What's your favourite right now?

Eau My Giddy God - Jimmy Choo - EDP

Hullo Ladies!

I recently finished off a few perfumes so these last few weeks I've been buying some new fragrances and this Jimmy Choo EDP was one of my first buys as it was already on my wishlist.

I remember trying the EDT version of this back when it first came out and hating it but a few months ago I tried the EDP version and fell in love. I find it a lot sweeter and quite seductive.

The Notes of this perfume are - Toffee, Patchouli, Pear, Orchid and Mandarin.

I can smell the sweet toffee and patchouli which makes this reminiscent of other very famous perfumes like Flowerbomb and La Vie Est Belle but Its unique in it's own way so I think you could definitely own all three and not feel like you'd bought the same fragrance.

I can certainly see why this is such a popular scent, it's got great lasting power and good silage which makes it great for nights out and I've gotten a few compliments in the times I've worn it out by both men and women.

I adore the bottle, it looks amazing on my bedside table with all my other perfumes.

I highly recommend this fragrance and suggest you check it out next time your in a store that stocks it :-)

I bought this 60ml bottle from Amazon for about £28 which is a great bargain!

Have you tried this perfume? what do you think of it?

Eau My Goddy God - Taylor Swift - Wonderstruck

Hullo Ladies!

So for my 21st Birthday one Of my presents was a 100ml Bottle of Taylor Swift Wonderstruck and I have to say I'm in love with it.

I first smelt Wonderstruck back last Christmas after I received a tester postcard from The Perfume Shop after I bought some sets from them and I really didn't like it. I think it must have been old or something because It just smelt off to me. Very sour.

But not long after I tested it out again in store and really liked it. I've been wanting my own bottle ever since.

I was lucky enough to find it on Sale in Superdrug a few days after my Birthday so I used some of the money I was given.

Here are the delicious notes!

Top: raspberry, dewberry, green tea, freesia and apple blossom.

Middle: sweet vanilla. honeysuckle and white hibiscus.

Base: Amber, Musk, Sandalwood and Peach.

Wonderstruck is a Fruity Floral.

It's an explosion of delicious fruit but stays unique with the tea and apple blossom note.

It's one of the more interesting celebrity fragrances and I can see why so many people love it.

The lasting power is like most celebrity fragrances though which can be it's downfall. I love it so much though that I don't mind re-spraying. All though this does mean that I'm going through the bottle very quickly...opps!

Either way I'm super happy to have this perfume in my collection and can't wait to try out her other scents!

What do you think of Wonderstruck? Are you a fan?

Eau My Giddy God: Armani Code - Giorgio Armani

Hullo Ladies!

A fragrance review for you today :-)

This is focused on one of my all time favourites, Armani Code.

Armani Code has been in my life for nearly two years now and this is my second bottle.

I was in Boot's the January before last and was looking at what was left of the Christmas gift sets, I noticed two different fragrance sets in the sale. This one and Emporio Armani Diamonds. I tested out both perfumes and although Diamonds is a very pretty scent, Armani Code smelt like home to me. It was love at first sniff, if you like :-)

I purchased two sets when they were £19 each because I knew that I'd have to be super lucky to get such a great deal again, I was right, last year I searched everywhere and couldn't find one for a price as good.

Armani Code was launched in 2006 and is categorised as a floral but I'd say it's leaning more towards an oriental.

Notes:
TOP – Bitter Orange, Italian Orange, Jasmine
MIDDLE – Ginger and Orange Blossom , Jasmine
BASE – Sandalwood, Vanilla and Honey

It's a complex mix of being comforting yet mysterious and sexy.

If I had to choose a signature scent then this is it, if I wanted people to be reminded of me by a certain smell then it would be Armani Code.

If you're a fan of sweeter scents but your looking for something slightly more mature for nights out and special occasions then this is perfect. You get the sweetness from the vanilla and honey, the mysteriousness from the Jasmine and Sandalwood and the sexyness from the Ginger and Orange Blossom.

It has great longevity and sillage, which I like. I don't buy a fragrance so that I can only smell it and it disappears within the hour.

Along with the perfume came a tube of scented lotion. It's gorgeous, smells exactly like the perfume and I use it often when I wear the fragrance so that it's layered and last even longer.

The bottle is gorgeous and is a perfect match for the scent.

This perfume is a 10 out of 10 for me :-)

Have you tried Armani Code?

What's your favourite perfume?

Eau My Giddy God : Roberto Cavalli - Just Cavalli EDT

Hullo Lovely Ladies!

I seem to have a thing for Roberto Cavalli fragrances, each one I've tried I've loved.

Just Cavalli was released February this year (2013).

It's categorized on Fragrantica as a Floral fragrance, but don't be put off as it's a lot more interesting than that.

My mother bought me this perfume a few months back and it first even though I liked it, It wasn't something I loved. Then after wearing it a few times it really grew on me and now it's a favourite.

It's a sexy, mature scent.

One of the interesting things about this perfume is that it only contains three notes.

 Neroli

Tahitian Tiare Flower

Palisander Rosewood

Another interesting thing is that although it's an EDT, the lasting power is amazing. I used it for my Mothers Birthday dinner and I can still smell it on the coat I wore that night.

So that's Roberto Cavalli Just Cavalli fragrance, it's definitely worth a try if your a fan of scents like, the original Roberto Cavalli, Alien or Armani Code.

Have you tried this fragrance?

What's your favourite perfume at this moment?

Eau My Giddy God - The Body Shop - Mango EDT

Hullo Ladies,

It's officially Summer and I'm always on the lookout for a great Summer fragrance.

I have a few of them this year which I'll be showing you in an upcoming post but I wanted to review a special one that was also included in my Top 5 Spring Scents. Yeah.....It's THAT good :-)

This year The Body Shop released a range of perfumes designed to be layered over their scented body products line.

For example, you can also buy an EDT to go with your favourite Coconut Body Butter or Satsuma Shower Gel!

They have all those long loved scents!

They bought out a similar range of body mists last year which I have to say I was disappointed with. The lasting power was horrible but I'm happy to say that these Eau De Toilette versions have a lot better longevity, this perfume lasts around 2 - 3 hours on my which is normal for an EDT.

Now on to the scent.

It's obviously a fruity scent, no doubt about it but what I find most amazing is that it literally smells like you just cut into a fresh juicy Mango.

It's not artificially sweet, has no strong lingering of alcohol, it just has delicious mango goodness.

I love the bottle, it's cute and small to keep in your handbag so it won't weigh you down.

If you love the Mango range from The Body Shop then you really need to try it out.

What's great is that if you feel like 2 - 3 hours isn't enough, just layer it with the Mango Body Butter then that gorgeous scent is just going to linger all day!

I've also tried most of the other EDT's and they also smell exactly like they should :-)

You can buy this here - for £8.50 but make sure you check for any codes that are going around  and while you are there check out the amazing sale they have on right now!!!

I really want to pick up the Strawberry, Coconut and Shea!

Have you tried any of the perfumes from the range?

Eau My Giddy God - Diesel - Loverdose EDP

Hey Ladies!

I bought this lovely fragrance in the Christmas sales and I have to be honest before I bought it I wasn't that fussed. I think It was probably because I'd only tested it on paper and not skin. On the skin the fragrance warms up beautifully and lingers seductively.

Loverdose By Diesel

. Top Notes – Mandarin Orange, Star Anise
Middle Notes – Jasmine, Gardenia and Liquorice
Base Notes – Amber, Vanilla and Woodsy Notes

It's sweet but unique and I can understand why It's popular!

The bottle is stunning, you can stand it up on it's side but I prefer to stand it upside down like this.

It's one of my favourite perfumes at the moment and it sits proudly on my perfume stand.

The lasting power is good, I'd say it lasts around 4 hours on me before I feel the need to re-apply.

I've had a look online for some deals and both Superdrug and Boots have the 50ml on offer at the moment! Superdrug being the cheapest!

Have you tried this perfume?

Eau My Giddy God - Lolita Lempicka - L De Lolita Lempicka - EDP

Hullo Ladies,

I've been a lover of perfume for a long time now and I always find that most of the time the bottle of a perfume is what drags you towards it in a store.

Most of the time you can tell what a perfume is like by it's bottle design. This perfume however is definitely a curve ball. When looking at it I immediately thought it was going to be fresh and aquatic but low and behold this is a giant spicebomb!

I've heard a few things about the Lolita Lempicka perfumes, they seem to be very love/hate.

After looking at the notes on Fragrantica, I decided to give " L" a try.

This perfume was launched  in 2006  and is part of the Oriental Vanilla Group. The notes of this perfume are:

TOP – Bergamot, Bitter Orange
MIDDLE – Musk, Cinnamon, Immortelle

BASE – Sandalwood, Vanilla, Tonka Bean

The whole base of this perfume is something I've grown to realise that I love in perfumes. Sadly though, I don't notice them a lot throughout this fragrance. What I do notice is the strong smell of cinnamon which I love but can't wear constantly. I have to be in the mood to wear this fragrance which makes me regret buying the big bottle.

 I'm glad I tried it but It's not one I'd re-purchase.

I did use it throughout the winter though, I sprayed it on my scarfs and I loved how that toasty warmth would cuddle me up while I was out braving the horrible winter weather.

If you're a big lover on strong, spicy scents, ones that especially include cinnamon then I say give this a try!

Hope your all having a great weekend!

Eau My Giddy God - Marc Jacobs - Oh! Lola EDT

Hullo Ladies!

haven't written about a perfume in a while so I thought I might do a review on one I've been loving lately.

I've wanted a Marc Jacobs perfume for a long time now, ever since I started watching collection videos on Youtube. Everyone seemed to own either Daisy or Lola. I liked Daisy after smelling it in store and maybe someday I'll own it but after trying Lola in store I was shocked at how bad my reaction was to it. I had to go and wash it off my wrist. It made me feel ill!

Oh! Lola was launched in 2011 but It took me a long time to try it due to the Lola fiasco

So when I finally tried it out just before Christmas I was surprised at how much I liked it. Usually when you see perfume "sequels" a lot of the time they're a similar version to the original,  it's great for me that this isn't!

This is categorized as a Floral Fruity perfume, but It's very unique, I haven't smelt anything like it before! Even though it's been regularly called Lola's younger sister, I think it's a very sophisticated perfume for the category it's in.

Sometimes I can be put off when someone says that a perfume is "fruity" as so many popular perfumes are these days and they all smell the same to me! It's nice to have something that you don't smell often on other people!

The notes for this perfume are :-

Top -Wild strawberry, raspberry and pear
Middle - Cyclamen, Peony,  magnolia
Base - Vanilla, Tonka Bean and Sandalwood

To me it's a great mix of juiciness and light floral's, I don't really smell the base notes though, which I would usually be disappointed in as I love Tonka Bean and Sandalwood in my perfumes but It still works very well.

I've been wearing this a lot this month because to me it screams "Spring" I'm not the type to categorise perfumes by seasons but I just feel that this little gem shows off it's best assets this time of year!

On me it last a good few hours and I can catch the scent every so often later in the day which is quite good for an EDT!

I was lucky enough to receive the 50ml set for Christmas so I layer the perfume with lotion to make it last even longer :-)

Also.....look at that gorgeous packaging! How could you not fall in love!

Have you tired this perfume?
Love it or hate it?

Eau My Giddy God - Giorgio Armani - Idole d'Armani EDP

Hullo Ladies,

I've decided to finally do a review on one of my favourite perfumes ever!

Idole d'Armani by Giorgio Armani.

I'll set the scene for you, I had been out shopping with my Mam and Nan and we had all decided on getting a new perfume that day. My mother needed one because she'd run out of all her others, my nan wanted a repeat purchase and I simply wanted to add to me vastly growing collection.

We spent over an hour in Boot's, trying out all the perfumes we liked the look of. My mam and nan both bought Anais Anais as it was on sale and they both love it but sadly I couldn't find anything I really liked that I could afford. I felt a bit left out but on the way home we passed another Boot's and my nan had forgotten to get makeup remover so we stopped in. I had another quick glance and found this baby.

It was right in the corner of the glass cabinet with a lovely big red sticker that screamed "SALE!!"

It was a 50ml Armani EDP down to £29......I know..... I think I may have done a little happy dance in the middle of the store!

I asked the lady behind the counter if I could try it and even she seemed surprised out how great an offer it was!

When I sprayed it on my wrist it was love at first sniff. Even my nan (who usually hates the perfumes I like and vice versa) loved it! I knew I just had to own that intoxicating scent.

Looking up the fragrance when I got home it wasn't surprising why I loved it.

The notes were the same as some of my other perfume favourites.

TOP – Celmentine, Honey, Ginger, Pear, Almond, bitter orange and Artemisia.

MIDDLE – Rose, Jasmine and Saffron

BASE – Patchouli, Vetiver and styrax

On me I smell the honey, pear, ginger and patchouli the most.

It's a very fresh spicy scent, it isn't grouped on the Fragrantica website at the moment but if I was to say I would call it a fresh oriental fragrance.

This perfume was released in 2009.

I can't find it on the boot's website at the moment which means they are not stocking online but if your interested definitely check your local stores, they may still  have some on clearance.

If you can't find it might be worth looking online.

If your a fan of other Armani fragrances then I would suggest giving this one a try. It lasts a good 5 hours on me before I feel the need to re-apply.

Hope you all had a great day!

Eau My Giddy God - NEXT - Paradise

Hullo Ladies!

I received a good few fragrances for Christmas and bought a few in the sales too so I thought I'd start reviewing some for you.

This is Paradise from Next.

It's one of thier top selling fragrances and I can understand why.

It's a lovely fresh and fruity floral with some nice green notes to keep it different.

It has great lasting power and projects well, which means your more likely to get those "Ohh...you smell great" compliments we all love!

Next are great for doing sets for their perfumes and the one I received was a 30ml bottle and a roller ball!

My first ever roller ball which was exciting. I'm always hearing about them on blogs but don't see a lot of them in UK stores.

It's a very pretty scent and isn't like the usually sickly sweet that you get with most inexpensive fragrances at  the moment.

A 30ml bottle costs around £6.50

A 100ml bottle costs £10

The bottle itself is sturdy and the glass is thick so it's less likely to break in your handbag, although the bulky packaging may be a problem if you dislike carrying around the extra weight.

I think it's a great scent to wear for everyday maybe for work or just out to the shops. It's beautiful and unoffensive.

Next have a few perfume that I've been wanting for awhile, they have some amazing dupes. Their Diamonds perfume is a dupe for Miss Dior Cheri, their Eau Nude fragrance is a dupe for Coco Mademoiselle Chanel and the beautiful Define is a dupe for the Armani She fragrance.

You can buy these perfumes from Next stores or online.

Have you tried the Next perfumes?

Eau My Giddy God - Vera Wang - Princess Night

Hullo Lovely Ladies!

If you read my haul a few weeks back, you would have seen that I recently picked up this Vera Wang perfume from TK Maxx. It was an amazing find. I picked up the 50ml bottle of Vera Wang Princess Night for just £24.99.

I've been meaning to try a Princess perfume for a long time now, as nearly every Perfume Collection I've seen on blogs and Youtube seem to have one included.

This is the newest Princess release.

I remember seeing the advertisement for it earlier in the year and falling in love with the bottle.

This is a grouped as a floral fruity perfume, all though I don't smell a lot of floral notes.

The Official notes to this perfume are ;-

Top - Watermelon, Raspberry and Red Berry

Middle - Jasmine, African Orange Flower and Rose

Base - Woodsy Notes, Musk, Sugar and Vanilla

On me I smell berries, sweet vanilla and woods. Giving this a youthful yet mysterious scent.

For a fruity floral fragrance I find it more interesting than your usual popular teen fragrances, which makes it more wearable for a girl of any age to not feel like they are wearing an immature perfume.

I adore the packaging and it looks stunning on display. I do find some fall out with the glitter but not enough that Im worried about bald patches very soon. There's just one speck of glitter here and there.

The thing that does bug my is the cap/crown. Yes it is gorgeous and the fact that you could also wear it as a ring is very appealing but it's just very fussy and mine always seems to fall off, which makes me fear carrying it around for to long in case I lose them. I would feel better about it if it was magnetic or fitted together more sturdily.

The colour of the glitter looks black in the photo's but when you hold it up to a light you can see that  its just a very dark purple.

All in all though it's a beautiful perfume and I'm so glad I picked it up when I did because only last week I saw it priced at over £40 in Boot's!

Hope you all had a great weekend :-)

Eau My Giddy God - Britney Spears - Fantasy

Hullo Ladies!

This was one of the first perfumes I had ever been given. I remember it was coming home from Florida and my mam and dad bought it for me in duty free. I'm pretty sure that at the time it was relatively new. It wasn't long though and it seemed like everyone was wearing it.

This isn't the bottle they bought me....I had to repurchase it. I loved it that much.

I bought this big bottle in my second year of college... about three years ago.

I remember one of my tutors threatening to send me and a couple other girls home because we were wearing this perfume. Not because she was allergic or anything. Just the fact she didn't like it. If thats not power going to someones head then I don't know what it.

Obviously I did the opposite and wore it on a daily basis ;-) I know that may sound mean but if she had said it was because she was sensitive to scents like that then I wouldn't have worn it...but she was very horrible about it so It just made me angry :-P

Anyway...rant over and on to the actual perfume!

The notes in this fragrance are :

Top  - Litchi, quince and kiwi

Middle - Cupcake, orchid, jasmine and white chocolate

Base - Woodsy Notes, Musy and Orris Root

The notes that stand out to me are White Chocolate and Cupcake...thats all I smell to be honest...which is enough :-)

I don't wear this much anymore...not because I think its too immature but because I have other perfumes I like more. I usually wear it on those days when I'm feeling down or just lazy. It's a nice fragrance to cuddle up to on the sofa watching a movie with the family kind of thing.

Scents are great for triggering memories and to me personally this smells like going back to school after christmas and noticing that every girl in that classroom must have had a britney perfume for a present!

It's a very noticeable scent because it's so popular but I wouldn't say it was too overpowering if used correctly. You don't want to be dousing yourself in it. It has great lasting power and silage ..which means that people really notice that you smell good :-)

I really want to try her other "Fantasy" perfumes at some point...they all sound lush!

I tried Curious once but hated it.... smelt awful on me!

Have you tried this perfume?? Do you have fragrances that bring back funny memories??

Eau My Giddy God - Michael Kors - Very Hollywood EDP

Looking back on my "Perfume Loving" history, Michael Kors Very Hollywood should be a scent that I pretty much hate but for some reason I find myself falling deeper and deeper in love with it.

Floral Perfumes have never really been my thing. I'm more of a "Sweet N Spicy" kind of girl.

I picked this up on my birthday after I received a Boots voucher from a friend  It was already half price so I picked it up.

The Notes to this perfume are :

Top - Mandarin Orange, Bergamot and Raspberry
Middle - Orris Root, Gardenia, Ylang Ylang and Jasmine
Base - Amber, Oakmoss and Vetiver

When first applied I really notice the white floral notes; Jasmine and Gardenia as well as the freshness from the Mandarin Orange.

I think it's the freshness from the fruit and white flowers that allow me to love this perfume. The name fits it well as It's a very glamorous scent.

It's one I think would be great for special occasions like weddings and parties.

The lasting power of this perfume is a good three hours on my skin but a lot more when sprayed on clothing.

In fact what I love to do is spray it on the scatter cushions on my bed and my curtains because it makes my room smell gorgeous for days!

Packaging wise I think it's stunning, it looks very expensive and chic. Giving an antique vibe. The actual fragrance is a pink colour which just makes it even more pretty.

I love the way the glass is cut and how stamp-like the lid is.

The only thing I will warn you about if you're thinking of buying it without trying first, don't be fooled by the fruity top notes. This is very much a Floral perfume.

I can't find it on the Boot's website at the moment but I would go check in your local store to see if they still have it.

The Perfume Shop have the 30ml on offer at the moment for £16.99 - Here

You can also find it on Amazon and Ebay :-)

Have you tried Very Hollywood? Love it or hate it?

Eau My Giddy God : Paris Hilton - Siren EDP

Hullo Lovely Ladies, Sorry I haven't posted anything for a few days, it's been a stressful few weeks and I just can't write when I'm upset but thankfully things are starting to settle down so I thought I would do a perfume review for you before I do some Birthday related posts in the next few days :-)

Usually my Perfume reviews are about fragrances that I have loved for years and have lots a wonderful comments about them but this one is different.

Paris Hilton is probably the celebrity I least like...she's up there with Amy Childs and Katie Price. Although she's widely known for great perfumes and high heels. I bought this eau de parfum from Amazon a few months ago whilst browsing for a perfume to try that was inexpensive.

As always I reviewed the product before buying it and was excited to hear that this was supposed to smell very much like Juicy Couture's Viva La Juicy.Although at the time I hadn't actually smelt Viva La Juicy but was happy to smell like it without paying the high end price tag. Also by reading the notes, its sounds like a perfume I would love. Sweet and fruity.

I was really excited to try it when it got here but as soon as I put it on I wanted to wash it off...you know that famous Mean Girls quote "you smell like a baby prostitute." I'm sure it was this perfume they were talking about! It's very sweet, even for me and I'm a huge fan of those famous sweet fragrances like Fantasy by Britney and Vanilla by The body Shop. I'm pretty sure the reason I hate it is because its quite heavy.

Some of the key notes in this fragrance is : Manderin, Peach, Honeysuckle, vanilla, apricot, orchids, water lilly and musk.

About a week after I bought it,  I had a chance to smell the famous Viva La juicy....guess what....I hate that too. They are extremely similar to the point where I can't really tell the difference.

This is a perfume I suggest trying out but as I haven't seen it in stock in places other that Amazon and TK Maxx so I suggest trying Viva La Juicy in stores and if you like that scent but don't want to be paying such a high price then definitely buy this.

It last quite a long time on the skin and longer on clothes.

The packaging is quite old fashioned, reminds me of perfume bottles from the 70's. It came with a mini key chain with a mermaid which I took off.

At the moment I'm looking to give this away to someone, maybe a friend or family member.

It was my birthday yesterday and I'm looking to purchase a new fragrance...any suggestions??

Which is your favourite perfume right now?

Eau My Giddy God : Gwen Stafani - Harajuku Lovers - Love

Hullo Lovely Readers!!

For years I have been wanting to try one of these Harajuku lovers perfumes but never got the chance, then  a few months ago I become obsessed...and I mean OBSESSED.... with perfume.

In a space of three months I more than doubled my collection and managed to pick up two of the HL fragrances.

At a great price too!

This gorgeous bottle of perfume is from the Wicked Style collection, I must admit...her purple dreadlocks fascinate me.

On the Fragantica website they say that the top notes are Pear, Nectarine and Mangosteen.

Middle notes are African Orange Flower and Violet.

Base Notes are Sandlewood, Praline and Musk.

The notes that stick out for me are the Pear, Violet and Praline. When first applied it's very fruity but then settles down into a more sweet, floral scent.

I wouldn't say this was one of my all time favourite perfumes but the reason I included it in my recent Monthly Favourite's post was because I've seemed to have grown attached/addicted to the smell.

This happens to me with a lot with perfumes. For months I will not wear it but then suddenly I don't want to wear anything else except it.

It's not my favourite HL perfume but for the price I'm glad I picked it up to try, it's one that you should probably test before buying as it is a very sweet/fruity scent.

I would definitely gift this to a teen that's maybe fed up of the usual fragrances they get given...e.g. Britney :-)

Packaging wise, I love it and think most teenagers would. They are fun to collect and lets not forget the handy way that they can become finger puppets when you take of the lid off!!! Amazing Much?? *I think I need to slow down on the coffee :-)*

It last's a good few hours on the skin but even longer on clothes.

I picked this perfume up for around £10 in the Boots sale a few months back.

I've also bought one from TK Maxx at the same price. So have a good look around :-)

Have you tried any from the Harajuku line??

I really want to try Lil'angel and G, they sound amazing but I just haven't found them at a good price yet :-(

Hope you have all had an okay Monday!
