REVIEW - MAC - Rebel Lipstick

Hullo Ladies!

I'm been dying to own the MAC Rebel lipstick for ages! I have this idea in my head that If I've wanted a makeup product for more than a few weeks then it's likely to be worth the investment and boy this sure was!

Rebel is a Satin Lipstick from MAC, the website simply calls it a Mid Toned Creamy Plum but it's so much more than that!

It's a dark berry lipstick that just screams sexiness.

The formulation is beautiful, it's creamy, pigmented and goes on super smoothly without clinging to any dry ares.

It also has amazing staying power.

After a good couple of hours it leaves you with a gorgeous even stain that would look stunning just on its own or topped off with a lip balm if you haven't got a mirror to reapply the lipstick!

I can't wait to wear this on a night out with a smokey eye!

You can buy this from Debenhams - HERE - for £15.00

Have you tried Rebel from MAC? Love it or hate it?

My Top 3 MAC Red Lipsticks

Hullo Ladies!

I'm a big lover of red lipstick, I know many girls who find it hard to be comfortable in a red lippy but for some reason I never had that problem, I love wearing a bright lipstick. It's the same with my hair, the redder it is, the sexier I feel!

Some of my favourite and most used red lipsticks happen to be MAC lipsticks.

Today I'm going to be talking about my top 3 :-)

They're not really in order because my favourite, changes constantly but these three in particular are never far from reach.

Starting with Ruby Woo - A Blue Toned Classic Red Shade. It's very matte and can be drying if you don't prep your lips well before hand but the prep pays off as it's one of the most stunning red lipsticks I've ever seen. It suits a range of people and is loved by many.

M.A.C Red - Another Blue Toned Red, this one is a Satin which means its it has a slight sheen to it. Extremely pretty. It was the first expensive red lipstick I bought, I bought it to go to my friends eighteenth birthday party and wore it constantly for ages after that so It holds a lot of memories for me. It's definitely one I suggest if your looking for a blue toned red that's not matte.

Lady Danger - A Yellow Toned Matte Red, It's my newest red lipstick from MAC but has become a quick favorite in the last month. It's amazing on a hot day with your favourite sundress and a pair of sunglasses.

So those are my favourite MAC reds :-)

I definitely suggest trying them out as they are all good quality, long lasting and absolutely gorgeous lipsticks!

What is your favourite red lipstick?

REVIEW - L'Oreal Rouge Caresse Lipstick - Impulsive Fuschia

Hullo Ladies!

Very recently I picked up my first L'Oreal lipstick.

I've heard lot's about the Rouge Caresse range and how it's always captured and put in the same category as the Revlon lip butters.

I bought one because at the time they were on offer in ASDA for just £6.

There was only a 4 to choose from as the L'Oreal range in that ASDA store wasn't very large.

I picked up Impulsive Fuschia because it looked like the brightest most pigmented of the bunch, which is what I go for when choosing a lipstick.

I love the packaging.

It looks more expensive and dare I say it more grown up than the revlon lip butter or the Maybelline Color Sensational's. Although I love the packaging for all of those lipsticks, someone may decide not to buy them because of the way they look.

My Nan was very dubious about buying her first Revlon Lip Butter because of the packaging.

I was pleasantly surprised when I first applied this lipstick, after reading many posts I knew that these were considered sheer lipsticks. Luckily, this wasn't super sheer and gave me a lovely bright fuschia that really shows up on my naturally pigmented lip.

The texture reminds my of a MAC Lustre lipstick, very slick and moisturising.

You can keep it sheer or build it up for a more opaque look.

The colour is long lasting and gives a lovely even stain.

I have to say I'm very pleased with this lipstick and wouldn't mind picking up some more.

With my experience with the rouge caresse range so far, I'd say it's slightly better than the revlon lip butters in some ways, due to it being very hydrating and a lot more long lasting. I do still love the lip butters,  though some of them are a lot better than others.

Have you tried the Rouge Caresse lipsticks? What did you think?

I'm in need of colours to try :-)

Weekend Shopping Haul : Superdrug, Debenhams & H+M

Hullo Ladies!

I went shopping with a friend yesterday to Cardiff, I haven't been there in about a year so it was very much needed.

I knew going that I wanted certain things.

I'm glad to say I stuck to what I already knew I needed instead of buying loads of impulse buys...although I did have a moment ;-)

First of all we stopped in H+M, I was instantly attracted to the cosmetics and fragrance stand and found these blending sponges. I've wanted one of these for a long time now after hearing so many good things about them and I didn't want to pay for an expensive one. I was lucky to find these at just £1.99 each. So I picked up two!

We also went to Superdrug and I bought one of the Accessorize Baked Blushes in Sensation. I remember swatching these a long time ago and they looked stunning. Packed full of so much fine shimmer they could pass for highlighters easily! Which is how I used it today ;-) I'm in love!

I've also been dying for some more matte lipsticks and have heard lots of lovely things about the Sleek Matte Lipsticks. I bought Papaya Punch and Heartbreaker. These seem to be lovely lipsticks for just £4.99

Another product I've been wanting for a long time now is the Sleek Blush By 3 Palettes. I picked up Lace and I'm so glad. I'll be reviewing it soon   :-)

Last but definitely not least was my only impulse buy and It's a Illamasqua Mystery Box from Debenhams. Down to just £17.50 I knew I had to own it. I'll be writing a post soon on what I actually received in my box.

Hope you have all been having a great weekend. I'm going to be spending the rest of mine curled up with a good book!

REVIEW - Dainty Doll - Lipstick - Saucy Sailor

Hey Ladies!

I've always been a fan of red lipstick but for a long time I actually only owned one, which was M.A.C Red. So when I bought the Dainty Doll bags from TK Maxx without knowing what was inside them I nearly did a happy dance when I saw that one of the lipsticks was a bright firetruck red.

This is a great quality lipstick, it's creamy and pigmented and after it's been on your lips for a good hour it leaves an even stain. Which means that instead of reapplying the lipstick through the day I could just re-apply a gloss or balm.

That isn't me though, I just love putting on my lipstick :-) It's nice to have the option either way!

Sadly due to lighting my camera couldn't pick up how bright the lipstick actually is.

So I'm including a picture of me wearing it when I went to a Charity Gig last weekend with some friends! I'm the one on the far right with the bright red lips :-)

It's safe to say that I'm in love with this lipstick, it doesn't show up my dry patches and stays around for good few hours.

You can buy this lipstick - HERE

Saturday Haul - TK Maxx Finds and Statement Necklaces

Hullo Ladies!

I spent today shopping with my Nan and I found some great things.

First up was TK Maxx.

I went into TK Maxx hoping they might have had some more Too Faced Palettes in as I really want the Natural palette, sadly they hadn't but I did manage to find some hidden gems from the brand Dainty Doll. I've always wanted to try this brand as it's aim is to enhance pale skin but I wasn't willing to pay the price for a brand I hadn't heard much about!

I was so happy to find two bags for £7.99 each that both had one blusher, lipstick and eye shadow/eye shadow base. Such a great price!

The Blushers In the bags were My Girl and Money Talks. You can find them both here

The eye shadow is called Treat Her Like A Lady and can be bought here.

The Eye Shadow Base is called Frankie Girl and can be bought here.

These are the swatches of the two lipsticks in Saucy Sailor and Stripped which you can buy here.

Next I popped into New Look to look at the necklaces as I've been loving the statement pieces I've been seeing everywhere lately!

I love this necklace, sadly my camera isn't picking up the true cobalt blue colour of it though. I can't wait to wear it! £6.99 from New Look.

I've been wanting to pick up some clothing with the peter pan color for awhile now but the only ones I've really liked are out of my price range so I decided to pick up this beautiful collar necklace.! You can get it for £7.99 here

At the moment Boot's have a third off alll Dainty Doll make up so make sure to check that out!

New Look has a buy one get one free sale on all jewelry too :-)

So that's all I got today!

Have you ever bought anything from Dainty Doll?

REVIEW - GOSH - Velvet Touch Lipstick - Darling

Hullo Ladies!

This is a review of the very popular GOSH lipstick - Darling.

It's a very pale peachy nude.

When I was going through my "Lipstick Obsession Stage" I used to watch a lot of beauty gurus on Youtube talk about their favourite lipstick and this was mentioned in many of them.

It has a very nice matte black packaging.

Its a very pale nude though and I can imagine a lot of people not being able to pull it off. Me included :-)

Though I still like it a lot and that's basically down to the formula, Its so creamy and pigmented. It has amazing moisture for a lipstick and also lasts for some time on my lips.

In this picture I'm actually wearing it quite lightly which is the only way I can wear it, If I put it on any thicker it's like a concealer on me!

If I'm really honest I don't wear this a whole lot, preferring to use MAC Hue as my staple nude.

If I do wear it I apply a pink toned lip gloss over the top to give it a bit more colour :-)

Have you tried GOSH Darling? Love it or Hate it?

MAC Lipstick - M.A.C RED

Hullo Beautiful Ladies!

So I have a few MAC lipsticks, they're my favourite product to buy from MAC and in my opinion I really think they make the best out there.

I bought this last summer to wear to a friends eighteenth birthday party.

I was supposed to buy a new dress but couldn't for the life of me find one so instead I treated myself to this :-)

It's great for when I want to make a statement with my lips as It's very bright and compliments my skin tone.

MAC call it a "Vivid Bright Bluish-Red"

Which I agree with as blue toned reds a really the only ones a can pull off do to my warm toned pale skin. A great thing about blue toned lipsticks..they make your teeth look whiter! Yay!

I usually wear this on a night out with some black winged eyeliner.

MAC  have a few famous reds, including Ruby Woo and Russian Red but I don't hear much about M.A.C RED which I think is a shame.

Its a Satin finish which means it's a semi-matte, which is great if your afraid to wear straight up matte as its not as dry.
You can buy this lipstick from a MAC store or online here
Do you have a favourite red lipstick?

REVIEW- MAC's Viva Glam Gaga Set

Hey Everyone!

This is one of the Sets I bought last Christmas from MAC, because I missed out on the first Lady Gaga lipstick that came out I was really excited when I learnt that they were releasing it again in a set. In the set you have Viva Glam Gaga and Viva Gam Gaga 2.  It was also nice to buy make up and  know It's going to a good cause. All proceeds from the Viva Glam collection go to people who have or live with Aids.

This is the little card that you get with the set.

I left my Viva Glam Gaga (pink) in my hand bag the other day and when I twisted it up to use it thats what It came out as. I'ts my first MAC lipstick to actually melt on me. I've heard of this happening to a lot of people and I nearly cried when It happened to me. One of my favorite colours! Oh well atleast its still usuable...slightly.  I can't twist it all the way up or it falls off :(

MAC calls this a Light Blue Pink.

On the website this is called a Light Neutral Beige

I can't wait to start using the first Viva Glam Gaga in the summer, Its such a pretty pink.
The Viva Glam Gaga 2 is something I have to be light handed with other wise it doesn't look so good. Most of the time I use it to lighten my natural lip colour and then use a lipgloss over it.

Viva Glam Gaga 2

Amplified Creme

Viva Glam Gaga

Lustre

It's a lovely duo and both are colours I will be using regally.

Thanks, Linzi xx
