REVIEW - The Body Shop - Satsuma Beautifying Oil

Hullo Beautiful people!

I'm writing a review today on The Body Shop's new Beautifying Oil in Satsuma. They state on the bottle that it moisturizes, smooths and illuminates.

I ordered this last month and have been using it in different ways these last few weeks, It says that you can use it on your face, body and hair.

As a person with naturally greasy hair I have not tried using it that way but I have tried it on both my body and my face, most importantly on my stretch marks.

Yes that's right my stretch marks, a lot of people have them and we all strive to prevent the possibility of any more or at least make the ones we have less visible.

As a child I suffered with Juvenile Arthritis, which many people don't know a lot about. When you think of Arthritis many of us think of older people but I was diagnosed at the age of 12. It restricted my exercise and social life and from the ages of 12 - 15 I understandably put on some weight, causing me to gain stretch marks. Thankfully my arthritis is in remission at the moment, although I still have aches and pains every so often my life is a whole lot more sociable and I've grown more comfortable with my size.

Like many people though I have my insecurities, one of them being my stretch marks. I have tried Bio- oil and other various products and they had no effect.

I wouldn't say this product is a miracle cure for stretch marks but the last few weeks I have been using it I found that my marks have become considerably lighter which is a big plus.

I also tried this on my face but in the day the oil just melted my make up away and at night it just felt too greasy on my temperamental and easily spotty face.

So I will keep using this for my stretch marks in hope that it will prevent any more and keep lightening the ones I already have.

I find this sinks into my skin very fast which is a great plus for when you want to use it in the morning, I would wait about five to ten minutes before getting dressed.

These are priced at £9.00 on The Body Shop website but seem to be on offer a lot :-)

You get a 100ml of product which I think is fair if your using on just one part of your body but I can imagine it being used up rather quickly if you like to use it everywhere.

No doubt they will be bringing out bigger bottles later, like their Shower Gels and Body Butters.

The only complaint I have about this is that it would be a lot easier to use if it had a spray top.

I would recommend this to anyone and if your thinking about getting this then the only difficult thing you have to do now is choose what scent you prefer!

Have you tried this from The Body Shop? How do you use it?

Thanks, Linzi xx

  2. I saw these in the TBS shops and found the size of the bottle very small for my liking lol. Maybe and yes, I wish they had come with a spray type bottle!
