Eau My Giddy God - Lancome - Tresor Midnight Rose

 Hullo Ladies :-)

I'm here with another Eau My Giddy God post for you today and its about Lancome's Tresor midnight Rose EDP :-)

I had heard about the Tresor line but associated it with a mature scent which isn't really me so I always looked past it.

Then back last year they added this new fragrance to the line.

I had seen a few reviews online and all those beautiful adverts so I decided to try it out in Boot's.

Now It's very easy to say that Tresor Midnight Rose is probably one of my most loved perfumes.

I picked  It up in the post Christmas sales last year. ( the only time I can afford it :-P )

It has top notes of raspberry and blackcurrent, its heart notes are rose and jasmine and the base notes are vanilla and musk.

For a lot of people it may just be a night time fragrance as its quite powerful but I love it so much I frequently pick it up to go shopping with or just out to dinner.

It's one of those perfume's that I find myself craving if I do not use it every so often.

I bought it from The Perfume Shop's online website and it came in a set : A 50ml bottle of perfume, a mini lip gloss, a mini mascara and a eye shadow.

I love the lip gloss and the eye shadow has become my favourite to wear on a night out as its very glittery without any fall out.

The mascara was fine although I found nothing special about it. All in all it was a great set to pick up and came just under £40 though I'm pretty sure it was a sale price.

I frequently get complimented when I wear the perfume, usually from women who want to know where they can get it :-)

Right now on The Perfume Shop a 50ml bottle costs £46.50 which is quite expensive, so when I run out I will be waiting for it to go on sale before I re-purchase.

All in all this is a lovely perfume and lasts a great time on the skin, to me its a very romantic perfume, quite sexy in its own way and has lovely packaging. With a little Lancome Rose tied around the cap and the clear to purple colouring of the bottle, its a treasure to have on my night stand :-)

What's your favourite perfume at the moment?

Recent Haul "Hair and Heels" :-)

Hullo Lovely Ladies!

I haven't made a Haul post in awhile, so I wanted to show you what I've bought or have had given to me over the last few weeks.

Starting off here's something I think I won from the Cosmopolitan Competition that happened about three months ago. When I say I "think" it might be from them, this is because it just came in an envelope with nothing else with it, no small note or letter or even adverts. Nothing!

This isn't the only thing I've won... a few weeks ago I won a Yardley perfume which I use as room spray as it smells a lot like Febreze :-)

I'm not going to complain though! It was a lovely surprise :-)

This is the Mark Hill Bedazzled Anti-humidity Shine Spray.

I've never heard of Mark Hill before so at first I was worried I was going to fall in love with it and then not be able to re-purchase it due to the price but then I looked on the Boots website, its only £5.99 which if I do find that it really works is quite affordable and its a huge bottle.

Next is this Aussie Smooth and Shine Milk that I picked up on the Superdrug Clearance shelf for 99p.

I'm going to try it tonight and I'll be doing a review real soon!

I picked up this GOSH Nail Polish on the clearance shelf, its Lavender Love which I was drooling over a few weeks ago and it was down to just £3, there was a grey colour too but I wasn't fussed on it :-)

I also picked up a Bomb Cosmetics soap that smells like Rhubarb and Custard sweets! Yum!

Now onto the Heels!

I've been obsessing over heels the last few weeks and I've managed to pick up some lovelies from Ebay!

These are some really comfy, yet sexy heels from New Look that I picked up "New" on Ebay.

I gave them a quick wash down even though they were new just in case. I love them, they are so easy to walk in and as I'm trying to get used to walking in heels these are the perfect starter heels!

The little Apple's are so cute! Ekkkk!

My friend Emma and I are obsessed with the shoe brand Poetic Licence, they have some stunning and unusual heels that are perfect for us as they do not always have stiletto height, which means I can walk in some pretty heels without worrying I'm going to break my neck! :-)

I bought these beautiful Apple Pie Mary Jane Pumps from Ebay in a bid for under £10. I know they may not be "real" Poetic Licence shoes but for under £10 I'm not that bothered as they are still gorgeous!

Looking at them I do think they are genuine though :-)

These were the heels my aunt bought my Nan last Christmas but they were too big for her so she's given them to me!

They're not what I would usually pick up but you can't go wrong with just a plain black high heel
 :-)

 So classy!

Okay ... so that's my recent haul!

Do you have a favourite high heel brand??  I would love to know!

REVIEW + Swatches of Urban Decay's Naked Palette

Hullo Lovely ladies!

It's a big post today :-) Lots of pictures for you! You've been warned ;-)

Urban Decay's Naked Palette was one of the first "High End" products I had ever bought, It was so raved about online that I was desperate to get my hands on it. I was finally able to purchase it around this time last year and I've I worn atleast one shade everyday since.

It's a very adaptable palette, I'm able to make a lot of different looks with it, whether I want a dramatic smokey eye or just a casual everyday look.

Urban Decay are really great at making beautiful, unique and pigmented eye shadows.

Yes like most brands they have their faults, mainly that some very similar shadows are re-released with different names and some have way to much glitter for anyone to pull off but I can honestly say that I wont be looking back, this palette will no doubt stay by my side for a long time.

Last summer when I went to Spain for a family holiday and for my eye makeup I only used this palette and for the whole two weeks there I never repeated my look!

One of the things I dislike about this palette though is the packaging. It's made out of some type of velvet material so everything sticks to it! Which can make it look dirty easily. Also the embossing isn't that great, the day I got it some of the "N" started to disappear. It just makes it seem like they shirked on the quality of the packaging but as long as they didn't on the actual products inside then I'm not too bothered.

Urban Decay seem to have noticed the flaws and the recent release " Naked 2" has a different design, its made out of metal instead which must make it a lot easier to keep clean.

Onto the shadows

"From L - R - Virgin, Sin and Naked"

Virgin - A pale shimmery nude, great for highlighting the brow bone.
Sin - A Pink Champagne. One of my favourites from the palette as you can see I've used a lot of it :-)
Naked - Matte Light beige. I like to use it in the crease if I have a lot of shimmer on my lid.

"From L - R - Sidecar, Buck and Half Baked."

Sidecar - Shimmered bronze with pink undertone, very pretty but is my least used as it has a lot of chunky glitter.
Buck - Dark Matte Brown.
Half Baked - Lovely bright gold, very smooth and pigmented.

"From L - R - Smog, Darkhorse and Toasted"

Smog -  Dark bronze with golden shimmer.
Darkhorse - Chocolate brown with shimmer, a lot more sheer than the rest of the shadows.
Toasted - Pink taupe with shimmer, very pretty on the eye.

"From L - R - Hustle, Creep and Gunmetal."

Hustle - Brown shimmer with purple undertone.
Creep - Sheer black with silver and blue glitter.
Gunmetal - Grey with a almost duo chrome blue undertone and silver glitter. Very pretty but just like Sidecar has chunky glitter.

All in all this is pretty much my favourite palette, especially when you think about how each urban decay eye shadows are priced at £14 each and your getting twelve full sized shadows here for just £36.

Though I don't think I will be purchasing the Naked 2 palette as it seems to be very similar and I already have some of the shades.

My most used colours from the palette are - Virgin, Sin, Naked, Smog, Darkhorse and Half Baked.

The ones that I rarely use are - Sidecar and Gunmetal, mainly because I hate finding glitter on random parts of my face hehe

I bought my palette from Debenhams and included was a lovely eye shadow brush and a small sample size of the primer potion :-)

This is definitely worth the hype and is a Holy Grail product for many beauty bloggers.

So it has its faults but that wouldn't stop me from repurchasing if I ever get through all the shadows *Highly unlikely!*

Do you own the Naked Palette? Love it or hate it??

Hope you all had a great weekend :-)

REVIEW - Balance Me - Pure Skin Face Wash

Hullo Gorgeous Ladies!!

So I really needed to write this review for you because It's about something that's ever happened to me before and I'm kind of confused :-P

So this is the Balance Me Pure Skin Face Wash and its said to be a skin - balancing cleanser for normal to combinational skin.

On the back of the products it says that it includes "balancing spruce knot extract, anti-oxidant rich rice bran oil and sense-awakening frankincense, grapefruit and ylang ylang."

I recieved this free in a magazine last month and I've waited this long to try it because I was finishing up my Body Shop Passionfruit Cleanser.

Today was the first time I tried this product and I know your all thinking...well maybe you should try it a lot more before you give it a full review. Well I don't need to and believe me I will never be trying this product again. Here's why..

So this afternoon I had a shower and decided to try this cleanser, I followed the rules by adding some warm water and gently massaged it into my face. It started to feel like it was heating up but I wasn't too worried as sometimes this happens and I was also having a hot shower! It didn't burn at all so I just carried on with my shower then got out to dry and moisturize when I looked at myself in the mirror and nearly screamed!

I had an allergic reaction! My first ever in fact!

Now I know that this obviously wont happen to everyone but I just wanted to ask you if you have ever had a reaction to the Balance Me products because whats confusing is that its  98.8% natural and its not something I would have thought would give me a reaction as I've always used a range of products with no problem.

I'm not going to rant about it because this is probably just a personal thing, most people are allergic to something..right??

What I want to know now is what it was that gave me the reaction so that I can skip over future products...are you seeing an ingredient up there which you know is easy for some people to react to because I'm so confused, I really didn't think I was allergic to anything!

Okay back onto the actual review, obviously because I've only tried it once I do not know a lot about it but I can't say that it made my skin feel fantastically cleansed, It seems just like your everyday cleanser...nothing special.

I really disliked the scent..seemed quite herbal smelling to me !

The packaging is lovely cute without being too complicated, would look lovely in you shower bag
:-)

So It's safe to say that I really doubt I will be using any Balance Me products in the future, I'm just going to stick to my normal cleansers.

Have you had any trouble with Balance Me? or is it one of your favourite brands?

Also some time today I reached over 100 followers and god am I happy!!! Thank you all so much for following me and reading my posts :-)

NOTD - Nails Inc - Portobello

Hullo Ladies!

Today I'm wearing the lovely Portobello that was in the recent QVC TSV set, I've worn it a lot since It got here and I'm really loving it.

It's such a bright neon shade. Perfect for the summer :-)

It's a lot more coral than is showing up in the pictures, although just as bright.

It's a neon jelly and dries down matte but with a top coat you can get it to be as glossy as you like!

It's quite sheer although I find three thin coats makes it perfect, if you don't want to apply so many try a white base polish first.

It's such a hard colour to capture but I notice that it looks more coral in the shade and bright orange in direct sunlight..something that gives it more depth.

I'm loving all the polishes in my recent Nails Inc haul but this is definitely a favourite!

I have worn it so much over the last week or two with all the lovely weather some of the UK has been having.

Hope your all having a great day!

July Faves!

Hullo Lovely Ladies!!

It's the first of August today and like always I used a large range of products last month and I've chosen a few of the things that I've repeatedly reached for in my everyday routine.

Cosmetics, Body and Accessories.

  • Strawberry Body Butter  - The Body Shop  - Review
  • Satsuma Shimmer Lip Balm - The Body Shop
  • Cream Puff Lip Cream - Fairy Cake  - Collection 2000
  • GOSH - Eye Trio in Sense (Found in my Superdrug Clearance box for £3, really nice and pigmented)
  • Earring Set - New Look (I've been mixing and matching these, for £2 they were a good find!)

Nails

All Nails Inc Nail Polishes this month, basically because of the TSV set I bought recently :

  • Portobello
  • Porchester Square
  • Pudding Lane  -  NOTD

Fragrance

  • Love Ect...  - EDP - The Body Shop - Review

This is a gorgeous, sweet scent without being immature.

I'm starting to run out of it, so I'm looking out for a good voucher code to re-purchase it with :-)

Tools

I've been using the MAC 266SE eye liner brush a lot this month, I had it in a set last Christmas and I'm really liking it :-) It's tiny which means it would be great to take away in a travel bag!

Books

Books are something I haven't included before on my monthly favourites posts. Even though I read every day! I'm a total romance whore when it comes to books. These two are both re-reads, first up is:

J R Ward's Dark Lover, which is the first in the Black Dagger Brotherhood Series.

It's a series I have been following for a long time and wait impatiently for the next novel every year :-)

I'm planning on re-reading the whole series again!

This novel focuses on Wrath, the only pure blood vampire left on the planet and how he grants his friends last wish by bringing his half-breed daughter into the world of the undead....ohh but it's so much more than that!!

J R Ward writes probably the best dialogue I have ever read. It can go from being funny to heart warming then to just down right HOT in seconds. If you like your Paranormal romance novels then this is really worth the read...the whole series is as the books just get better and better...and I promise, there are no sparkly vampire boys in this. Just kick ass, tattoo sporting, hot ones!! :-)

Next is The Bride by Julie Garwood.

The total opposite to the J R Ward novel.

This is a historical romance set in Medieval Scotland, where Laird Alec Kincaid is told by his king to marry an English bride.

Julie Garwood is one of my favourite historical romance authors, when she talks about Scotland its like you're their.
The dialogue between the main characters is done very well and there is some very funny scenes between the sisters.

I always feel great satisfaction when finishing one of her novels because she writes true love so well, it's not sickly sweet and you can't tell what the plot line is from a mile away which is always a good thing :-)

Hope you are all having a great day :-)
