January 2013 Favourites

Hey Lovely Ladies!

January went quicker that I expected it too, I've had a lot of thing to do this month so maybe that's why. I've also found some amazing new products and also found a few that I had forgotten about!

First up is the Tresemme Salon Finish Iron Hold Hairspray that I bought just before Christmas. I've been using my new curling wand this month and this has helped me keep those gorgeous curls for longer.  Staying with hair products...I've also been using the Aussie Take The Heat Leave In Spray which help's protect the hair from heat damage as well as helping it to look "Mirror Smooth" I really love it!

The nail polishes I've been wearing frequently this month is Barry M Raspberry, which is a gorgeous deep red, and Nicole By OPI's NICOLE'S NICKEL, which is a gun metal full coverage glitter polish.

Makeup wise I've been using my MAC Festive Face Palette, which I received back last year, from the eye shadows the colours I love to use are Phloof!, Dance In The Dark and Brun. I also love using the blush Mocha. My favourite concealer this month is the Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection Concealer. My Favourite makeup tool of the month is the Real Techniques Buffing Brush. It's great brush for applying Foundation and I'm going to be reviewing it soon....right after I wash it! Hehehe.

This winter due to the cold weather my dry skin has taken a real beating, I rummaged through all my body lotions *there's a lot* and picked up the Mango Body Butter by The Body Shop that I hadn't used since the Summer. I remember how much I had loved it in the summer so decided to see if it could help! It sure did, I even used it on my face as my skin was getting so bad! It worked brilliantly.

The perfumes I've been using constantly this January are Armani Code, It's a signature scent for me, and Soap and Glory Glam-A-Lot Body Spray, I picked this in a set earlier this month and absolutely love it!

So that's everything I've been loving this month!

What have you been loving?

Shopping Haul (New Look, Peacocks and OPI Find)

Hullo Lovely Ladies!

I went on a shopping trip today with my Mam and Nan. My mam doesn't get out much due to her health so me and my nan treated her to a nice meal and a new top.

I managed to pick up a few goodies too :-)

Looking at what was left in the sale section in Peacocks I noticed this lovely handbag, it was £10 down to £5. Its a little summery to be using in the autumn or winter but I don't really go by those rules. I like it so I'll wear it :-) I love the colour combination especially the nude straps.

The bow is removable but I really like it, so its staying :-) For £5 you cant go wrong.

It's a good size too, which I need! I always end up putting everything but the kitchen sink in my bag :-)

I picked up these stunning heels from the New Look sale, they were the last pair and luckily in my size. They are a bit higher than what I usually find comfortable but I just love the colour and the shape so I took the chance...they were just £6 so It wouldn't be a huge loss if they just stayed on my shoe shelf...after all I can always just stare at their gorgeousness......

Sorry for the awkward pose, I find shoes so hard to photograph!

I picked this up for just 88p from the Re-Born stand in New Look, its was 75% off and is a beautiful hair clip.

I've been growing my hair for about a year now and a few nights ago I realized how long it had actually got. Its the longest its been in about nine years so I'm real excited...so excited in fact that I'm hoping to treat myself to a new pair of GHD straighteners for my Birthday next month!

Ain't they cute!!

These were also 88p in the sale which is amazing! Even though the little faux diamonds have fallen out of every eye but one... I still love them. They look great even without them :-)

My big find was these Nicole by OPI Nail polishes that I bought from...TK Maxx!!

From left to right - Nicole's Nickle, One Less Lonely Glitter and "Baby" Blue.

These were in a set for £12.99 which is a great saving.

I love the colours in this set, I picked the picture with the flash to show off all that glitter! The blue is also stunning I cant wait to try them all out :-)

Two of the polishes have tags on them with Justin Bieber's face on it...I'm guessing they are from his collection?? I can forgive that though as they are so gorgeous!

Hope you have all had a great day!!

Summer Nail Polish Tag! :-)

Hullo Beautiful Ladies!

So every year around this time I see a lot of Summer Nail Polish Tag's....Which I love because I'm rather nosy and love to see what everyone's wearing! :-P

So I have decided to do one of my own, even though I wasn't tagged hehehe :-)

I started with Ten but then added another one that I really couldn't leave out!

Some of them I haven't got swatches of yet but They're on my list of things to do so don't worry!

From Left - Right "China Glaze For Audrey, Barry M Shocking Pink, Barry M Coral, Barry M Block Orange, Barry M Cyan Blue, Barry M Indigo, Color Club Sugar Plum Fairy, Nails Inc Bennet Street, OPI Cajun Shrimp, OPI Strawberry Margurita"

This is my only China Glaze polish and I'm so glad I picked it, it's a tribute to the gorgeous Audrey Hepburn and is based on that lovely Tiffany Blue colour :-)
Its a very elegant robin egg blue.

Barry M Shocking pink is a beautiful colour to wear on days you want to be like a barbie doll, to me its the polish you dreamed of wearing when you were six years old hehe :-P

Barry M's Coral is a very flattering colour with just a hint more orange too it than most of my other coral nail polishes, which makes it very unique in my eyes!

Barry M Block Orange, one of my most recent Barry M buys and boy do I love it!
It's a juicy, vibrant orange that is opaque in just three quick coats.
It's a polish that I have been wearing a lot in the last two weeks whilst the sun has been out!

Barry M Cyan Blue, this is the only picture I have with it on my nails and was taken with a flash but it really is very vibrant in natural light, probably my favourite blue from the Barry M line, It's very opaque in just two coats and when I wear it I frequently get asked where I got it and what's it called.

Barry M Indigo is one that I would wear on a night out in the summer or when I want something classy and dark. It's a beautiful polish and I don't think its talked about enough! I love it!

Color Club Sugar Plum Fairy is a holigraphic polish and is very opaque, I wore this on a sunny day once and couldn't stop looking at my nails!

Nails Inc Bennet Street is my favourite red to wear in the summer, it's very glossy and flattering.

OPI's Cajun Shrimp is a lovely coral that I love to wear on my toes! Great in the summer with some lovely sandles!

OPI's Strawberry Margurits is a beautiful pink that I love on both my hands and toes It's a great universal pink that would look flattering on anybody!

One that I have purchased recently and isn't in the group photos is Nails Inc Baker Street.

I'm really loving this colour right now! It's such a pretty blue :-)

Okay so that was my top summer Nail Polishes and although I'm the type of person that wears all sorts of polish no matter what season it is, I do believe that we gravitate to certain colours at certain times and these are just some I have been in love with lately!

I tag anyone and everyone! If you want to do it then go ahead, I had a great time!

Whats your favourite summer nail colour?

Thanks, Linzi xx

NOTD - OPI - Strawberry Margarita

Hey All!

It's a lovely sunny Monday today and I fancied a really bright colour and choose this OPI polish, I don't have many OPI polishes. One full size and four minis. This is a mini which I usually keep for my toes so they last me longer but I decided to go for a change today and really like how it looks!

I received this in a set from QVC late summer last year :-)

Its a lovely hot pink...almost neon colour.

It took three coats to get good coverage.

I'm really thinking about getting this is a full size bottle as I cant see it lasting me much longer if I continue to use it on my nails.

I'm sorry for the dodgy application but I find it hard to apply my polish with the tiny brushes you get with the mini's!

I used the Barry M 3 in 1 for a base coat, then three layers of Strawberry Magarita and Seche Vite top coat.

Monty loved the colour as much as me :-)

This was a treat as Monty doesn't usually let me catch his face on camera, I think hes a bit insecure about the size of his nose!

Hope you have all had a lovely Monday!

Thanks, Linzi xxx
