TAG: Youtube Made Me Buy It!

As a beauty blogger and a fan of all things girly. I've been watching the beauty gurus on Youtube for a long time now.

Naked Palette - Probably every beauty guru on Youtube.

I can imagine that every "Youtube made me buy it" post has this one in it. It's become a classic in the beauty comunity and is still reved about today! It was a great purchase and I'm happy I went with what everyone was saying and finally bought it. I used it ever day for a year! I would repurchase.

Too Faced Natural Eye Palette - Eleventh Gorgeous

Another great neutral eye palette, Eleventh Gorgeous talk about this in thier top 5 palette video and I really liked the sound of it. As a big fan of neautral shades I'm happy with both this and the Naked palette but If your not that into neutrals you could go by with only one of them. I would deffenitly repurchase.

La Roche Posay - Tanya Burr

I believe this past year La Roche Posay has become a holy grail brand for many people. I've only been using it for just over a month. It's deffenitly made a difference to my skin and I would repurchase.

MAC Ruby Woo - Grav3yardgirl

I love Bunny and her red lip looks! She (and many other ladies) adore this lipstick and although it's taken my sometime to purchase it i'm glad it did!

Ralph Lauren Ralph & DKNY Be Delicious - Various Guru's

You all know I'm obsessed with perfume and these two perfumes are ones that a few years ago were constantly talked about in Collection Videos. Both seemed to be very popular with american beauty gurus and I really wanted to check them out. I received Ralph for my birthday about two years ago and although it's very fresh and clean smelling, I've noticed I prefer warmer scents so it's not one I would repurchase. DKNY Be Delicious on the other hand is glorious and I love it. I would like to try the other versions in the range first but I will someday repurchase it.

Real Techniques - Pixiwoo - Obviously

I may have first heard about this amazing line of beauty brushes from Pixiwoo because Sam was the creator of them but I've heard them mentioned by many beauty gurus since. Not surprising either. They great, affordable brushes and I want them all!

Maybelline Baby Lips - Eleventh Gorgeous

They've only recently come to the UK but we've been hearing about them from American Beauty Guru's for a long time now. I recently bought my first one and I'm quite impressed, I don't know if I'd repurchase though as I much prefer the Burts Bees Lip Balms.

Bobbi Brown Long Wear Gel Liner - Tanya Burr

I've been using Bobbi Brown long wear gel liners for over two years now. I was in search for a great gel liner after trying out my friends Maybelline one and not liking them I was happy to pay a bit more for something better. I watched a video by Tanya where she talked about gel liners and she said that Bobbi Brown and Clinique where her favourites. I went with Bobbi Brown because I'd also watched the brand on QVC many times and I new they had great deals on. I will always repurchase this liner!

Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation - Pixiwoo

I've been using this foundation for years and love it. I first heard it from the pixiwoo girls and loved how great the coverage looked. I made sure to pick it up a few months later when I was in duty free at the airport. I now get it on my birthday every year. I will always repurchase.

Rimmel Apocolips - Fleur De Force

There was a lot of buzz about these lip lacquers this year, I'm pretty sure I heard about them first from Fleur but everyone was talking about them not long after.  I like them but I don't love them. I can't say I would repurchase them once I run out.

Nails Inc Baker Street - Various Guru's

The most gorgeous blue nail polish EVER created, It's amazing and a lot of guru's agree. It was very popular last Summer and It's my only nail polish that I've nearly gone through. Will be repurchasing!

ELF Blushes - Emilynoel83

I've been watching Beauty Broadcast for a long time now and shes always been a big fan of ELF. At such a inexpensive price I couldn't not try them out and they really are great! I would definitely repurchase them. In fact I have a few I really want to try!

So you can see, Youtube definitely influences what I buy :-)

What have you bought recently after watching Youtube?

Empties Post - May 2013

Hullo Ladies!

My last Empties post was in January, this year is going so quickly, I thought I'd only done it about a few weeks ago!

So I've finished a few products in the last few week and I'm just going to talk about them :-)

First up is St Ives Naturally Clear Apricot Scrub - I used up a tube of this in my last Empties post and I bought this not long after so you can tell it lasts me a while. I like to use it once or twice a week to help keep those pesky spots away. I love it and will keep on re-purchasing!

Garnier Moisture Match in Goodbye Dry -I used this up a few weeks back so have a new bottle sitting on my side table. I really like this moisturiser. You need to use it twice a day for it to really do its job and when you do, you can really see an awesome difference.

Aussie Take The Heat Hair Protector - I am in love with this hair protector. I use it whenever I use heat on my hair. It smells amazing and doesn't weigh down my hair or make it greasy.

N-SPA Ruby Orange and Mango Butter Shower Sorbet - This stuff smells amazing and then what do N-SPA do....they stop making it. I cried using up the last. Okay....I didn't but it was sad.

Percy & Reed Colour and Shine Shampoo and Conditioner - Picked them up in a magazine about two months ago. I actually really like the Percy & Reed range so far, I've only tried these and the Finishing Polish but I've loved them all. They all have a distinct smell that like a bubble gum floral, which I really liked. I don't think I'd pay the full price for them but if I saw them on sale or in another Magazine I wouldn't hesitate to pick them up.

Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation - I reviewed this a few weeks back and I really liked it. It's a nice foundation for a sheer to medium coverage.

I finished lot's a perfumes in the last week!

Most of them are about 3 years old so I'm glad I finally got through them I just find it funny they all emptied around the same time!

First up - Ralph By Ralph Lauren - I nice simple fresh scent. Great If you don't know what perfume to get as a gift as I can't think of many people hating it. I myself wouldn't buy it again as I want to try many different fragrances. I'd suggest this scent for people who are fans of fragrances like : D&G Light Blue, DKNY Be Delicious and Marc Jacobs Oh Lola.

Midnight Fantasy By Britney Spears - As much as I dislike her as a person, the woman knows what fragrance to put her name on. I'm a big fan of the original Fantasy but I'm an even Bigger fan of this one. It's fruity but different because It's very berry scented. Sugared Berries. Yummy. I love it for the daytime in autumn/winter.  I would definitely re-purchase!

Last but not least is Ed Hardy for Women - A fresh Fruity scent that gorgeous for summer days. I've had it for god knows how long and I always forget about it until I smell it and then I'm like "how did I forget how great this smells?" Even though I do really like it I wouldn't be re-purchasing it for myself anytime soon as I want to try many other scents. I wouldn't mind it if it was giving as a gift though as It's still a gorgeous scent.

So that's everything I've gone through in the last few weeks. I'm finishing up many fragrances at the moment so I think it's about time I bought some more ;-) Look out for a haul!

Eau My Giddy God: Ralph Lauren: Ralph

Hullo!
This is going to be my first perfume review, although my first ever blog post was of my perfume collection.
It was not long ago that I was obsessed with perfume, I loved watching and reading about what perfumes people love and also what they hated. My personal tastes sway towards the sweet and fruity scents with some oriental and musks thrown in here and there.

This is Ralph by Ralph Lauren and it is a very popular perfume.

What The Perfume Shop say: "Experience the fragrance as colorful as you are with this combination of sparkling green apple leaves, zesty orange mandarin, charismatic pink magnolia, seductive purple freesia and soft blue musk that explodes into a colorful floral fragrance."

What I say: This is one I wear when I want a breath of fresh air. It's such a clean and lovely scent. Not too strong and noticable but I have had many compliments on how "Good" I smell when I wear it.
I think this would be a great perfume for work, when you do not want anyone to have a bad reaction to your perfume. It's not a boring scent or a powerful scent.  It was my saviour on a recent camping trip when I got fed up of smelling like fire smoke and mud :(

I like the simple packaging and its small and light so is great for carrying around in your handbag. I'm not that big a fan with floral scents and luckily I don't smell the floral notes in this, I smell apples and manderins.  This is an 30ml Eau De Toilette and cost my £16 at Debenhams although I have seen it cheaper in a Perfume Shop sale.

Have you tried this perfume? Do you love it? or hate it? :)

Thanks, Linzi xx

My Perfume Collection (March 2012)

Hi Everyone,
I have been reading some Perfume Collection blog posts recently and being a fan of perfume myself, I decided It would be a great first post. So here goes.

                                                     Vanilla by The Body Shop.

I'm a big fan of sweet scents and this one just called to me although at the time I didnt realise It had some coconut also which im not a lover of. It's extreamly sweet and I usually just wear it around christmas time when I feel I can get away with it.

Ralph By Ralph Lauren

I bought this because I was watching some youtube videos about peoples favorite perfumes and this is one that was mentioned a lot. I'm in love with it. It's one I wear when I want to smell very clean and fresh.
Here are the notes: Apple Tree Leaves, Yellow Freesia, Italian Mandarin,Osmanthus,Magnolia, Linden Blossom Flower, Purple Freesia, Musk and White Orris.

                                                   Midnight Fantasy By Britney Spears

This is another popular perfume, It's very sweet and fruity, I used to wear this all the time when I was younger. It was my night time fragrance back then :) Great for summer nights.  These are some of the notes: Orchid, Freesia, Iris, Black Cherry, Plum, Musk, Vanilla and Amber.

                                                            Fantasy By Britney Spears

This was very popular when I was fourteen, I loved it back then but it seemed like every girl in my year was wearing it so I decided to buy something different. Then a couple of years later when on holiday in Florida my mam bought it for me in Duty Free. I was very pleased :)

The notes are : Jasmine Petals, White Chocolate Orchid,Red Lychee, Golden Quince, Kiwi, Musk, Orris Root, Sensual Woods.

                                                       DKNY Be Delicious (green)
This is a lovely fruity scent and I have been getting a lot of compliments on it sinse I bought it a few months back in the January sales.
Here's what The Perfume Shop says "A modern feast for the senses, this juicy fragrance combines the scent of apple with a sophisticated blend of exotic flowers and sensual woods".

                                                      Sarah Jessica Parkers' NYC

This a fruity sweet perfume that I had for Christmas two years ago, It's not a favorite of mine because of the bottle, I find it really cheap looking and the fact that the patterns on the cap doesn't match the patterns on the actual bottle extremely annoying.

Here are the notes :
Red Rose Damascenia Gardenia, Mimosa, Italian Bergamot, Wild Red Strawberries, White Osmanthus, Creamy Musks, Rum Accord, Vanilla.

Armani Code By Giorgio Armani
This is my Favorite perfume of all time, It's one I wear on special occasion and nights out. I find it fruity at first and then it dries down in to a scrumptious sweet scent. It's a bit expensive for me but I found it on offer in Boots after Christmas this year and It was so good I bought another one two days later because the price of the two of them in the sale was the same If I had just bought the one out of the sale. I couldn't let that offer pass me by. :)

Here are the notes: Orange Blossom, Jasmine, Orange, Honey, Vanilla.

Sunflowers By Elizabeth Arden
This was the first perfume I ever owned, back when so many teens my age were wearing Britney's Fantasy that we were suffocating on it in the classroom I decided I wanted something different and my mam took me to the local Superdrug and satyed with my while I sniffed probably every perfume in the shop untill I found this one. Its very fresh and floral but also has fruity notes in it.

Here are some of the notes:
Rose, jasmine, osmanthus, iris root, Lemon, rosewood, orange blossom, mandarin, bergamot, melon, peach, Musk, cedar, amber, moss and sandal wood.

Siren By Paris Hilton

This is my newest perfume, my mother treated my in TK Maxx last week and this is what I picked. I've heard good things about Paris Hilton Perfume's and this is one of them. A few people have said this is a dupe for Juicy Couture's Viva La Juicy, which I dont own but have tested in store and have to say I agree, They are both very similar. It's a lovely fruity scent with notes of mandarin, peach and a creamy hint of vanilla.

Lancome's Tresor Midnight Rose

This is a lovely night time perfume for me I didn't like it at first but then it grew on me and now I sometimes even crave the smell of it. It's a mature scent but because of the raspberry and blackcurrent notes its a keeper for me and my fruity tastes :)
Here are the notes :Rose, Jasmine, raspberry, blackcurrent, Vanilla and  Musks.

Valentino Rock 'N Rose

I bought this in Spain last year on holiday, It's quite a mature scent and I keep it for nights out. It's a sexy scent to me, prehaps something to wear when your trying to pull or on a hot date :)

Here are some of the notes: bergamot, blackcurrant,  green leaves andmuguet. rose, gardenia, orange blossom, sandalwood, heliotrope, orris, vanilla and musk.

Harajuku Lovers in Love

This is a sweet floral scent which I really like, I don't like florals much but I'm in love with this right now and have been wearing it everyday for the last week. I love the design aswell shes so cute!
Here are the notes: Pink Pamelo, Bergamot, Bamboo Leaf Mist, Rose, Peony,  Jasmine, Vanilla Orchid, Musk, BlondeWood.

Harajuku Lovers in Music
A fruity and sweet scent, I find it very fresh and juicy smelling. I love this one too, I hope I get to own all the Harajuku Line at soem point, they would look amazing all together :)
Here are the notes:  Pear, clementine, sweetpea, jasmine , Honeysuckle,  Woods, Vanilla,  Musk.

So thats it. I know I have way too many but It's become a bit of an addiction lately, I usually change my addictions frequently so no doubt it will be something different soon.
Thanks, Linzi :) x
