My Top 5 Nude/Neutral Nail Polishes

Hullo Lovely Ladies!

I haven't done a nail polish post in the longest time!

So today I decided to do a Top 5 for you...my favourite nudes!

No 1) Ciate Bon Bon

This beauty was a freebie in a magazine not so long ago, at the time I was gutted that out of the three colours you could choose from there was only the nude left in the store but now I have to say It is one of my all time favorites, it's goes beautiful with my skin tone and looks amazing in just two coats.

No 2) This is probably one of my most famous nude polishes, its one of Leighton Dennys best selling shades. Supermodel is a full coverage polish that looks very chic. I wore this out shopping the other day and had plenty of compliments! I also had this free with a magazine but have no doubts that I would purchase it again when I finish it!

No 3) A beautiful yet inexpensive polish is Pinball from the Asda George range, you get full coverage in two coats and its very glossy. The formulation is beautiful and its very high quality for the price. Definetly one you should pick up if your looking to add to your nude collection.

No 4) Another famous nail polish, one of nails inc's Hero Shades is Porchester Sqaure. This came in the recent TSV from QVC and I was really excited to try it. It gives great coverage in two coats and is very glossy. The only thing is, sometimes I love wearing it but then other times I feel that it can make my skin look dirty...strange I know. It's still a favourite nude though that I wear constantly and I actually really love it on my toes!

No 5) One of my first Nails Inc nail polishes was Jermyn Street, at the time I didn't appriecte what a beauty it is! It's very similar in colour to Supermodel but not as full coverage. You will need about two or three coats to get opaque coverage!

So there they are!

What is your favourite nude polish??

Birthday Haul Part 2 (New Look Sale!! Perfume and more!)

Hullo Lovely Ladies!!

So this is the final part of my Birthday Haul and its mainly focused on clothing. I don't think I've ever blogged about clothes before so this is a first!

For the last week New Look has been having one of their sales. A lot of people don't purchase from sales because they believe that the items that are on sale are the things no one wants or are out of trend, I have to disagree. Especially when it comes to New Look. I don't know how many times me or a family member has bought something from New Look and the next week its half price, which can be very frustrating!!

So for the last year or so I've been trying to only purchase clothing from their sales, I'm pretty sure this is their Autumn sale as their Summer one was not so long ago and the clothes that are on offer seem to be very Autumn-y??? O.o

To be honest, seasonal trends don't really matter to me. There is no doubt that I'll be wearing these year round :-)

For a few weeks now I've been seeing this type of necklace on a lot of blogs and beauty gurus channels, one is particular is Graveyardgirl who is my absolute favourite! She's been wearing a necklace like this in her last few videos and I've been dying to get my hands on one.

I was lucky enough to find this on sale for just £1... Such a bargain :-D

I also picked up these gorgeous beauties for a £1 too!!!

Boots

My best friend Emma gave me a £10 voucher for Boots so after looking and looking I decided to use it for this Michael Kors Perfume....It smells amazing. I'm not usually a fan of floral scents but this is a beauty and I'm putting it on everything...my clothes, my pillows...even my curtains!!!

It's a 50 ml bottle and the packaging is gorgeous! It looks amazing with the rest of my perfume collection :-)

I've been spoilt rotten this year! I doubt I'd need to buy anymore clothes for some time :-)

Hope you have all had a great day!

I'm off to watch Celebrity Juice :-P

TAG: My Makeup History

Hullo Lovely Ladies!

I've found this tag on a few peoples blogs now and just had to give it a try!

How long have you been wearing makeup?

I used to wear black eyeliner and bright eye shadow when I was very young, probably about 13 but I stopped when I realized that the "Goth/Emo" look just didn't suit me...I started really wearing makeup after my 18th birthday.

What was your favourite makeup product in the beginning?

Lipstick!!
After I turned eighteen, I spent some of my birthday money on some makeup and became obsessed with buying lipsticks :-)

What is your favourite makeup product now?

I've gone full circle and have gone back to eyeliner, much better quality ones than I was using at thirteen though.

What were some of your favourite brands in the beginning?

I loved Boot's 17 in the beginning as well as it's sister brand Natural Collection.

What are some of your favourite brands now?

Like most people I have a pleasure for all things MAC but sadly can't afford them :'(

I've been loving E.L.F at the moment which is much more affordable!

What is your everyday makeup like?

I don't really have an "everyday" makeup as I like to switch it up all the time, as long as my skin looks good and my makeup matches my mood I'm happy.

Sorry for the silly pose, I'm one of those people who has a hard time keeping a straight face when taking pictures of myself :-P

What is your going out makeup like?

A smokey eye and lots of eyeliner with a neutral lip...usually my MAC Creme Cup lipstick!

Again....another strange pose.....*sigh*

What makeup look are you known for?

Smokey eye shadow with a winged eye. It's something I have fun creating :-)

What is the worst beauty crime you have committed?

Falling asleep with a full face of makeup and waking up the next morning with panda eyes....dear god... I try not too but It's all according to how many vodkas I've had the night before ;-)

What is the worst beauty crime you are proud to have not committed?

As my mam likes to call it "looking tangoed" that horrid orange face with a line across your neck because  the foundation is totally wrong for you skin tone. So many girls at school used to have that look...strange enough it was the popular girls...I bet they regret it now when they look back on the photo's!

What is the one beauty trend you where part of but now aren't a fan of?

I used to buy the Stargazer eyeshadows...you know the ones you can get?

Bright neon colours.

Well when I was a teenager every girl I used to hang around with had some of those eyeshadows!!  At the time it was cool because neon was a big thing but now I would stay well clear!

What is the one trend you are proud to say you were never part of?

Like a lot of bloggers I have to agree with the "foundation lip" sometimes I use a bit of concealer on my lips before I apply a lipstick just to get the best out of the colour because my lips are naturally very pigmented but I wouldn't go out with just that on my lips....usually the foundation lip went along with the orange face....double trouble! Hehe.

What is the one look you will never go for?

Other than the above mentioned?? Hmmm....I'm very scared about the amount of bronzer I apply to my face. I'm so pale that I either look ashy or really fake if I apply too much.

If you were brave enough to wear any look what would it be?

I have a friend who a lot of people would call a "goth" although as I actually know a few "goths" and she's no way near... but she does like to apply dark eyeshadows as well as a dark lip.

I did it once for Halloween but I'm a bit too scared to make it work on a night out :-)

An old holy grail product of yours?

Bobbi Browns Long Wear Gel Eyeliner...as long as QVC keep stocking it I will continue to buy it...although I've only ever had to buy one. It's lasted me since last halloween!

A new holy grail product of yours?

Hmmm.....E.L.F Studio Blusher...they are so inexpensive but are great quality, I love them. My favourite at the moment is Pink Passion, for the days when I like to look like a china doll!!

So there you go!

I tag anyone who wants to do it :-P

My parents bought me this big tin of chocolates, with this and the chocolate birthday cake I'm not going to buying any munchies for a long time!

My Mam picked out this amazing Skull t-shirt from New Look, its a few sizes too big for me which I like as it hangs better. Looks amazing with a pair of skinny jeans and some high heels :-) While we were in New Look I noticed that the sales assistants where obviously getting ready for a sale so I managed to walk out of there with only this so I can go back Sunday and get more for my money! I can't wait :-)

For the last few weeks my Nan has been helping me decorate my bedroom and for my birthday she bought me my bedding and curtains.

She also gave me a big surprise by giving me these hand made goodies

She made this beautiful pillow, shes picked up on my bow obsession and added the lovely detail work!

I managed to get to TK Maxx but didn't find much.

I did pick up these two makeup brushes from Ecotools though. I've already tried them out and love them.

They are so soft and the foundation brush is amazing. I can't wait to do some reviews!

If any of you read my Birthday Wish List that I posted last week then you may have noticed that I really wanted another bottle of Estee Lauder's Double Wear Foundation. My lovely parents picked this up for me!

I'm very grateful for everything I received for my birthday!

Clothes, makeup and chocolate! What more can a girl ask for ;-)

Hope you have all had a great day!!

Enjoy the weekend :-)

Eau My Giddy God : Paris Hilton - Siren EDP

Hullo Lovely Ladies, Sorry I haven't posted anything for a few days, it's been a stressful few weeks and I just can't write when I'm upset but thankfully things are starting to settle down so I thought I would do a perfume review for you before I do some Birthday related posts in the next few days :-)

Usually my Perfume reviews are about fragrances that I have loved for years and have lots a wonderful comments about them but this one is different.

Paris Hilton is probably the celebrity I least like...she's up there with Amy Childs and Katie Price. Although she's widely known for great perfumes and high heels. I bought this eau de parfum from Amazon a few months ago whilst browsing for a perfume to try that was inexpensive.

As always I reviewed the product before buying it and was excited to hear that this was supposed to smell very much like Juicy Couture's Viva La Juicy.Although at the time I hadn't actually smelt Viva La Juicy but was happy to smell like it without paying the high end price tag. Also by reading the notes, its sounds like a perfume I would love. Sweet and fruity.

I was really excited to try it when it got here but as soon as I put it on I wanted to wash it off...you know that famous Mean Girls quote "you smell like a baby prostitute." I'm sure it was this perfume they were talking about! It's very sweet, even for me and I'm a huge fan of those famous sweet fragrances like Fantasy by Britney and Vanilla by The body Shop. I'm pretty sure the reason I hate it is because its quite heavy.

Some of the key notes in this fragrance is : Manderin, Peach, Honeysuckle, vanilla, apricot, orchids, water lilly and musk.

About a week after I bought it,  I had a chance to smell the famous Viva La juicy....guess what....I hate that too. They are extremely similar to the point where I can't really tell the difference.

This is a perfume I suggest trying out but as I haven't seen it in stock in places other that Amazon and TK Maxx so I suggest trying Viva La Juicy in stores and if you like that scent but don't want to be paying such a high price then definitely buy this.

It last quite a long time on the skin and longer on clothes.

The packaging is quite old fashioned, reminds me of perfume bottles from the 70's. It came with a mini key chain with a mermaid which I took off.

At the moment I'm looking to give this away to someone, maybe a friend or family member.

It was my birthday yesterday and I'm looking to purchase a new fragrance...any suggestions??

Which is your favourite perfume right now?

REVIEW - Estee Lauder - Double Wear Foundation

Hullo Lovely Readers :-)

I'm reviewing my absolute favourite foundation today, its the very famous Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation.

This is my "Special" foundation, the one that's way out of my price range so I only wear it for nights out and special occasions. Any one else have those??

Here is what the UK Estee Lauder Website say about this foundation - "This worry-free, long wearing foundation makeup stays fresh and looks natural through heat, humidity and non stop activity. Wont change colour, smudge or come off on clothes. Feels lightweight and comfortable. Now the flawless look you see in the morning is the look you keep all day."

What I think about this foundation -

The has amazing flawless coverage that is very buildable, allowing you to go from medium to full coverage very easily without it giving you a cakey look.

I wouldn't say this gives you a "natural look" because basically it would be hard to find a foundation with this amount of coverage that does, although it does give you a "my makeup is at it's best" look.

When I bought this the MUA told me it was a matte finish, I wasn't really interested at the time because I was so excited to have it. I would agree but if I'm wanting a more dewy finish then its easy to create by putting my Laura Geller Spackle Primer in Champagne on before I apply.

The lasting power on this foundation is amazing, you can put it on in the morning and it looks no different by six in the afternoon!

The one thing I didn't like is that I had to purchase a pump for it, the MAC pump fits it which is what I use :-)

"Estee Lauder Double Wear in Fresco with 17's Foundation in Ivory"

I bought this in Spain last year on holiday, so at the time I had a lot more colour, which is why the MUA matched me to 2N2 Fresco, I would say this is a good match for me because its perfect for summer and in the winter when I need it to be lighter I just add a pale foundation.

I make sure I use a good makeup remover when I use this as it's quite stubborn due to it's lasting power :-)

I would suggest going to a counter to get colour matched as the shade range can be a tad confusing...especially to me!!

I have quite dry skin but find this easy to wear by using a moisturizer under it!

The one thing a lot of people comment on but because I have very pale skin I haven't noticed is that because It has SPF 10 you can get flashback when taken photos which can make you look pale.

It is an expensive foundation and it's something that I think a lot about before repurchasing,

It's priced at £27.50 on the Estee Lauder Website

Every so often Debenham's have 10% off, which is happening right now so go take a look!

As I'm running real low on this foundation I'm hoping to have it for my birthday!

Have you tried this foundation? Love it or hate?

Birthday Wish List :-D

Hullo Lovely Ladies!

Don't worry, I, in no way believe that I would be lucky enough to get all of the products on this list but a girl can wish...right??

Image taken from Asos.com

I've been wanting this clutch for so long because it would go amazing with a recent Heel purchase I made :-)

Image from Debenhams.com

I love Estee Lauder Double Wear and I've been running low so I need to purchase this soon!!

Image taken from eyeslipsface.co.uk

I've heard so much about this E.L.F Powder Brush, its apparently amazing to apply foundation.

Image taken from eyeslipsface.co.uk

Before I made my first ever purchase from E.L.F, I did a lot of research and this brush was mentioned frequently. Its supposed to be good for filling in your eyebrows :-)

Image taken from Debenhams.co.uk

MAC make my favourite lipsticks but I only purchase every so often when I want to treat myself, the next few I want to pick up are Ruby Woo and Milan Mode :-)

Image taken from ghdhair.com

I would love to buy a new GHD straightener as mine is going on 6 years old now, they are amazing and last for so long!!! Well worth the money :-)

Right...I better stop myself there as I was getting slightly carried away!

That's my birthday wishlist, the big day is next Wednesday so not long. Don't know what I'm doing yet, probably go shopping with the family and then for a nice meal somewhere :-)

Hope you have all had a great day :-)

Eau My Giddy God : Gwen Stafani - Harajuku Lovers - Love

Hullo Lovely Readers!!

For years I have been wanting to try one of these Harajuku lovers perfumes but never got the chance, then  a few months ago I become obsessed...and I mean OBSESSED.... with perfume.

In a space of three months I more than doubled my collection and managed to pick up two of the HL fragrances.

At a great price too!

This gorgeous bottle of perfume is from the Wicked Style collection, I must admit...her purple dreadlocks fascinate me.

On the Fragantica website they say that the top notes are Pear, Nectarine and Mangosteen.

Middle notes are African Orange Flower and Violet.

Base Notes are Sandlewood, Praline and Musk.

The notes that stick out for me are the Pear, Violet and Praline. When first applied it's very fruity but then settles down into a more sweet, floral scent.

I wouldn't say this was one of my all time favourite perfumes but the reason I included it in my recent Monthly Favourite's post was because I've seemed to have grown attached/addicted to the smell.

This happens to me with a lot with perfumes. For months I will not wear it but then suddenly I don't want to wear anything else except it.

It's not my favourite HL perfume but for the price I'm glad I picked it up to try, it's one that you should probably test before buying as it is a very sweet/fruity scent.

I would definitely gift this to a teen that's maybe fed up of the usual fragrances they get given...e.g. Britney :-)

Packaging wise, I love it and think most teenagers would. They are fun to collect and lets not forget the handy way that they can become finger puppets when you take of the lid off!!! Amazing Much?? *I think I need to slow down on the coffee :-)*

It last's a good few hours on the skin but even longer on clothes.

I picked this perfume up for around £10 in the Boots sale a few months back.

I've also bought one from TK Maxx at the same price. So have a good look around :-)

Have you tried any from the Harajuku line??

I really want to try Lil'angel and G, they sound amazing but I just haven't found them at a good price yet :-(

Hope you have all had an okay Monday!

Tiny Haul :-)

Hullo Lovely Readers!

I've recently picked up a few goodies that I would love to share with you.

I've been obsessed with Blushers, highlighters and Bronzers lately.

Well....one bronzer really and it's the Collection 2000 Shimmer Shade in Way To Glow.

I picked this up earlier in the week, I have heard a lot of great things about it from bloggers and even though I'm slightly petrified of bronzing I decided to give it a go.

This product does everything really, you can blush, bronze and highlight in just one swipe!

The four different shades are beautiful together and give a lovely glow.

I tried it on my Mam first as like I said...I'm a tad bit frightened of putting something as dark as this on my very pale skin *Don't worry, she was happy to be my guinea pig!*

It looked amazing on her so I gave it a go and must say I'm loving it already, will definitely be writing a review soon :-)

This is £4.19 on the Boot's website.

NYC Mosaic Color Wheel in Pink Cheek Glow

I've been wanting to try a MUA Mosaic Blusher for so long but my Superdrug has appallingly low stock  so when I saw this NYC Color Wheel I was so happy.

The range of colour is amazing, I haven't given it a good try yet but once I do I will let you know how I feel about it :-)

I'm not sure how much I paid for this as I lost the receipt :-(

This is the Clinique Long Last Glosswear in Air Kiss, It came free with this months Instyle magazine, you could choose between three other products but I picked this one, It looks gorgeous over a nude/pink lipstick :-) Quite sticky though.

So that's my tiny haul ;-)

Hope you have all had a great weekend!

EBAY: Fashion Accessories & Giveaway Win!!!!

Hullo Lovely Ladies this post has been long in the making!

About a month back I read a few blog post featuring accessories that people had bought off ebay, I was amazed at the selection/prices and must admit I went slightly purchase crazy :-P

I will be giving direct links to some pieces but others seem to be out of stock, although I'm sure most things can be found from other sellers, just type in some key words into the ebay search bar  :-)

"Eye Glasses Necklace"

"Skull Necklace"

£2.00

I absolutely love bird necklaces, strangely my Mam and Auntie hate me wearing them...they dislike birds for some strange reason O.o

There are loads of Owl necklaces to choose from, so I will probably be getting a few more at some point :-)

"Skull Cross Necklace"

I haven't worn this one out yet, I'm hoping to wear it when I go shopping tomorrow!

£1.47

"Adjustable Peacock Ring"

"Multi-coloured Skull Bracelet"

I'm in love with this bracelet and paid £1.05 for it, for the first day the red bead stained slightly but now its fine :-) I like to stack it with some of my other bracelets!

All these products took from around 2 - 4 weeks to get here.

I won a Giveaway!!

I thought I would add this little bit to my post as its related, this a ring I won in Velvet Daisy's giveaway a few weeks ago, it's slightly too small and at first I didn't think I could ever wear it but then one day when watching someones Youtube haul I noticed the girl had this ring and silly me I had been trying to put it on the wrong way round!!

You can buy these rings on ebay too! Just type "YSL Style Ring" into ebay :-) I might get one for my Mam :-)

Sorry that I couldn't give you all the correct links but sadly that's what its like buying off ebay, one day they are there and the next they are gone :-(

Just to give you some more help, here are some links to sellers that I've bought from :-)

Have you ever bought any accessories from ebay ??

Hope you have all had a great day!
