April Favorites :-)

Hullo Ladies,

I'm sorry this post is slightly late but I've only recently had my camera back from my parents :-)

Like you all - I use a heck loads of products in one month so It was really hard for me to choose which ones were my favorite but I managed to decide on these seven :-)

Here they are!

These are the products I have found myself repeatedly reaching for in the last month.

MAC's Fabulously Festive Face Kit in Wintercool.

MAC's Mocha Blush and MAC Eye shadows in Phloof, Brun, Quarry and Dance in the Dark.

Easy to make a simple yet lovely look.

 Barry M's Copper
A nail polish that both me and my mother have been wearing a lot this month, so much so that I bought a back up of it. .

Barry M in Coral

The weather hasn't been too great here recently but this colour has really brightened my mood the last few weeks.

Burt's Bees Lemon Butter Cuticle Cream

This is the most amazing thing I have recently bought, I'm forever applying to my cuticles. I think it smells like Lemon cheesecake but my nan disagrees, she thinks it smells like lemon sherbert!

Burt's Bees milk and Honey Body Lotion
My new favourite moisturizer. It's light and non greasy whilst smelling gorgeous,

The Burt's Bees lip balm with Mango Butter is amazing, it softens my lips and has a light fruity smell.

I love reading these posts and seeing what people have been loving in the last month.

What has been your favourite product this month?

NOTD - Barry M and Color Club

Hey ladies!

Today I'm doing a NOTD using some of the new nail polishes I have bought over the last week, Barry M Black and Color Clubs Covered in Diamonds. I picked up the Color Club glitter set in Tk Maxx and now I wish I had picked up the cream set also! They are very pigmented colours that dry very fast :-)

Another thing I love about Color Club nail polish is that you get a great amount of product!

You can really see how gorgeous the blues and greens look when applied over a darker base colour.

In natural light.

Hope this helps to show you how beautiful Covered in Diamonds is.

I'm thinking of wearing this to my dads Birthday party tomorrow :-)

Hope you like it!

Thanks, Linzi xx

Small Haul

Hello Ladies, I went food shopping today and picked up some things that I needed......okay....wanted!

I found some really good magazine freebies, In the Marie Claire you received a free lip and check stains. In the magazine they also had a 25% off The Body Shop makeup enter the code 38962 at the checkout.

Then in InStyle you had a choice of three different Nails Inc nail polishes that have been made especially for InStyle. Also in the magazine they have given a promo code for 20% off nailsinc.com. You just enter INSTYLEPROMO at the checkout :-)

I also picked up another bottle of J Lo's Miami Glow which my Nan bought me about 2 years ago and I ran out last winter, They are just £9.99 at Superdrug right now.

I have been fancying a black polish lately, I wanted one with lots of gloss and decided on the Barry M in Black. So I have added it to my ever growing Barry M collection, I recently had a small addiction to their nail paints but can you blame me? They're so good!

I chose InStyle Bluebell which is a lovely lavander blue. The other colours where really pretty and I had to stop myself from picking them all up :-(

That's right ladies, I've jumped on the BB Cream band wagon, I can't wait to do a review on this Garnier Miracle Skin Perfector as it's had some mixed reviews. I also spotted a Maybeline one but this was on offer!

Also found this lovely little package in my post box today :-)

A few weeks ago I decided to do this St Ives thing on facebook, I can't remember if it was a question game or if you just had to like their page but they where giving out these samples. I completely forgot I had done this so it was a nice surprise.

Then looking through the magazines, I found the adverts for next months freebies, InStyle are giving you a choice between The Body Shop Big and Curvy Mascara or Two Eye Definers in Black and French Navy.
In Marie Claire they are giving you a choice between three different Ciate nail polish colours :-) they look really pretty on the page! So great freebies next month too :-O

Hope you are all having a great Friday!

                                                                   Thanks, Linzi xx

The Body Shop Born Lippy Sticks VS Burt's Bees Lip Balm

Hey ladies, hope your all doing well and looking forward to the weekend!

I'm going to do something different today, I'm going to put two different lip balms# against each other and talk about their differences and which one I find the best.

I am going to review The Body Shops Pomegranate lip balm against Burt's Bees Mango Butter lip balm.

So lately I have acquired a lot of The Body Shop lip balms, basically because a few months ago The Body Shop was a small obsession of mine *sometimes I just get addicted a certain brand* and I ended up with six different kinds of lip care products from them. All where relatively good, some better than others.
*Cough Cough - Lip Butters! ;-p*

These are the new Born Lippy Lip Balm sticks that The Body Shop brought out not so long, ago.

They all have amazing and unique packaging, every lip balm has a different colour/pattern to it, usually connecting to the scent of the lip balm.

As you can see, there's a slight tint to The Body Shop lip balm but nothing that really going to change the colour on your lips.

Sadly I'm not a big fan off these, the smell is quite medicinal to me,  like I'm chewing on a cough drop or something, I had the same problem with Carmex's Cherry :-(  I also don't love the feel of it in my lips, its quite waxy and I don't find that it sinks into my lips. Just stays there until wiped off.

Another thing is that they are not very sturdy and don't stay in place once you have wound them up and when you put pressure on them they wind back down so you have to hold them in place when applying to your lips... which can be a bit of a hassle. :-(

It does the job but I have many others that are better so I doubt I would buy again.

You receive 5g of product and on The Body Shop website they are  usually £3 but are on offer at the moment :-)

Another brand I'm obsessed with recently is Burt's Bees, I bought some of their lip shimmers and couldn't believe the difference they made to my dry lips and decided to try the brands lip balms which I had heard so much about.

I'm very glad I did because this is probably my favorite balm of all time and I've tried many!

The package isn't too unique but yet very recognizable as a Burt's Bees product.

I  really like the smell, It's just a light fruity scent. This is not tinted, so great if you want to wear under your favorite lipstick.

I love the texture of this and find that it sinks into my lips quickly and instantly soothes them.

I will be buying some more of these when I have the chance and can't wait to see the difference in them :-)

You receive 4.25g of product and on the Burt's Bees website they cost £3.69 although I bought mine from Amazon at a cheaper price.

Marks out of 10

The Body Shop 5/10
Burt's Bees 9/10

Hope this helped in some way to all you Lip Balm Lovers :-)

Thanks Linzi xx

REVIEW - Boots Natural Collection Body Spray's

Hey ladies, these are the Boots Natural Collection Body Sprays.

I have three of them, Wild Strawberry, Mango and Papaya and Vanilla.

These are great if your stuck for perfume and want a cheaper alternative.

I find them long lasting, around the same longevity as a eau de toilette,

They are all 150ml each and are £2  on the Boots website, They often have a "3 for2" offer on these which is also a plus :-)

Vanilla

This is a lovely sweet smell, with maybe a hint of coconut, It reminds me of The Body Shops vanilla Eau de toilette .

I have had a few good compliments with this fragrance the best one yet was off my brother "Why do you smell like cake?" bahahaha

Wild Strawberry

This one is probably my least favorite, like the Vanilla it's very sweet but  I'm not that big a fan of  most strawberry scents because I find they smell like child's medicine :-(

Mango and Papaya

This is my favorite out of the two, I'm a big fan of mango scents and this doesn't disappointing,  it's a very fresh and fruity smell and great for a hot summers day.

I really love these and plan to get more, they smell exactly how they are described and are super inexpensive

Some other scents you can get are:

Ice Musk
Passion fruit
Samphire and Sea Minerals
Apple and Lime *I really want this one*

Have you tried any of the Boots Nautral Collection Body Sprays? Love them or hate them? :-)

Thanks,
Linzi xx

REVIEW - Burt's Bees Lip shimmers

Hello Ladies,

Today I'm reviewing another product that I received in my Burt's Bees Grab Bag, these are their Lip Shimmers in Rhubarb and Watermelon.

I don't really notice any shimmer in the two that I received so to me they are more or less a tinted lip balm.

Although they are very pigmented for a tinted lip balm and have even more colour than some of  the 17 mirror shine lipsticks.  They have a great coverage, taking care of any imperfections you may have on your lips.

They have a lovely minty freshness to them and a slight tingle, which unlike the Soap and Glory Sexy Mother Pucker lip gloss, I actually like the feeling of these on my lips.

The top swatch is Rhubarb and the bottom swatch is Watermelon. Rhubarb is a lovely natural red and Watermelon is a nice mauve pink.

Rhubarb would be a wonderful colour for women who are just starting to wear reds on their lips because it's not too powerful or bright.

The only problem I have with these are that  if you turn them up they won't turn back down again so be careful :-)

It's a 100% Natural and costs £5.99 on the Burt's Bees Website,

Have you tried these Lip Shimmers before?

Thanks,
Linzi  :-) xx
