May Favourites 2014

Hullo Ladies!

Wow I think this is the latest I've ever posted my monthly favourites!

Anyway It's here now so lets get started :-)

The Body Shop - Vineyard Peach Body Mist - Smells amazing! So refreshing for Summer and lasts surprisingly well for a body mist! If you like fruity scents then I highly recommend you give it a go.

MAC Lipsticks - Flat Out Fabulous and Lady Danger - Both are new purchases and again, perfect for Summer. They're super bright and colourful and I just feel awesome in them! Flat Out Fabulous is a punky bright matte pink and Lady Danger is a yellow toned red that looks amazing on most skin tones!

The Body Shop - Watermelon Born Lippy Lip Balm - Another product that smells absolutely amazing from The Body Shop. I love the Born Lippy Lip Balms, they're moisturizing and always smell amazing and last ages on the lips.  I have most in the collection now and will continue to buy them when I run out :-)

The Balm - Nude Tude Palette - Probably one of my most used palettes of the year so far, its highly pigmented, amazing quality and the packaging is just amazing! The colours range is wide for a neutral palette and you create a range of looks.

The Body Shop - Banana Conditioner - Softens my locks and smells like banana! What more can I say really, except that it's probably my favourite conditioner ever for everyday use and I will continue to purchase it as long as I can!

Real Techniques - Deluxe Crease Brush - Stunning at blending eye shadow/concealer and I use it every time I apply makeup now. It fits perfectly in my eye socket, packs on a lot of products and blends it beautifully.

Barry M - Damson Hi Shine Gelly Nail Paint - A gorgeous blue nail polish that goes on in one coat and stay on for ages! I've been wearing it constantly since I bought it and have a feeling it's going to stay that way for the next few months :-)

So those are all my favourites for the month of May, what has been yours?

April Favourites 2014

Hi ladies!

It's time for my monthly favorites post and I've loved a lot of amazing products these last few months but here's a few I really want to talk about.

The Body Shop Blue Corn 3 in 1 Deep Cleansing Mask - I used this product when I know my skin needs a deep clean, whether it's because I happened to sleep in my makeup after a night out or my skins is just feeling super awful. It's great for getting rid of flaky dry skin and gives me a super soft face!

Sleek Brow Kit in Dark - I never really paid much attention to my brows, about a year ago I bought an MUA eyebrow pencil but never really liked it. Recently though I've decided that like filling in my brows and started using some eye shadow to do it. That then got me interested in brow products and after reading reviews after reviews I settled on the Sleek Brow Kit, as soon as I first tried it I knew It was love! I use it now in nearly every makeup look, whether its a dramatic brow or a more natural brow. Either way I love them :-) I definitely recommend this product!

Urban Decay Naked 3 Eye Shadow Brush - This isn't my first Urban Decay Brush, I enjoy using the one I received with the Naked 1 palette but I really love this one in particular. I use it for both eye shadow and concealer. On one end you have a blending brush and on the other end you have a more smaller brush to use for precise application.

Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation - I've been using this foundation for awhile now, this is my second bottle. I love it because it's great for my dry skin, gives a lovely healthy look and a medium coverage depending on how you apply it. It's also a great colour match for me as it has a good colour range.

Maybelline Falsies Mascara - For years I've used the Maybelline Colossal Mascara off and on, but I always heard how great the Falsies one was and when I got the chance to pick it up last month I did. I really love it, It's great. I still love the Colossal but for now I think I'll stick to this one. It's great for building up both volume and length.

Rimmel Apocalips - Right now I only have the shades Nova and Big Bang but I'm hoping to get more :-) I absolutely adore these lip lacquers. They're so pigmented and smooth to go on. Big Bang is my favourite to use when I fancy a bright lip. I definitely suggest it to any red lipstick lovers out there.

Roberto Cavalli EDP - I've loved this perfume since the moment I smelt it in store when It was released. It smells amazing and if you like white floral and/or oriental fragrances then I suggest trying this one out.

So those are my favorites for this month! What were yours?

My January 2014 Favourites

Hullo Ladies!

An end to another month, the first month in a new year in fact. Like Always I found January to go awful slow. Probably because I'm still on a downer from Christmas.

One thing that was exciting about January though was all the new products I got to try out!!

My first two favorites this month have been my new Sleek Blushes. I bought Flamingo and Pixie Pink earlier in the Month and I love them. I'm obsessed. I want them all :-) They're pigmented and easy to blend and last ages on me!

I've also been loving my bottle of J'adore Dior perfume. It smells amazing! It's super fresh and feminine. I can't stop smelling it. I've worn it a lot of the month and I love that my leather jacket now smells of J'adore. It stays around for so long without being overpowering.

As you may know I've had great results from using The Body Shop Tea Tree range and my parents bought me some more from the line for Christmas this year and one of the products was this Squeaky Clean Scrub, I didn't pick this up a few months ago because I didn't want to spend the money on a scrub that was only 100ml. Boy was I being silly. This scrub is amazing and guess what? You only need a pea sized amount for your whole face. It foams up beautifully and really helps to exfoliate your skin without being to harsh. I'm in love!

I also received my first LUSH products this Christmas and I adored both of them but this Snow Fairy Shower Gel is truly amazing. I just love the smell. The Lush bag happened to be in my room the week before Christmas and that whole week my bedroom smelt delicious. I'm so gutted it's a seasonal product, I'm going to have to stock up next Winter.

My last favourite of the month is this Soap and Glory Butter Yourself Moisture lotion. It smell's bloody amazing and my skin feels super soft after using it. I actually can't wait to pick up the Foam Call Shower Gel as I hear it smells the same as this Lotion. I'm sure I smelt this on a girl I spoke to in a pub last weekend, she smelt just like this. I didn't ask if she used this or had a perfume that smelt similar. I wish I had now! Does anyone know of a perfume that's smells similar? Let me know!!

So what have you been loving this Month?

Have any Sleek Blushes you think I should try out?!

This Month's Favourite Reads : April 2013

Hullo Lovely Ladies,

This month I found many amazing novels.

These are six that have really stood out for me.

I've heard a lot about this novel for a long time now but the synopsis has always put me off. A thirty year old  woman on a deserted island with a sixteen year old boy and a big suggestion of romance? Sounds a bit creepy doesn't it. Well after reading 5 star reviews after 5 star reviews I finally gave in and I'm so glad I did. I want to just tell you now that I found nothing creepy or perverted about this love story. It's one of the most beautiful romance's I've read and I was thinking about it a long time after I'd finished it.

I found this novel through a blog and I enjoyed it so much. It's very different from my usual reads. It's a story of a second generation slave surrounded by mobsters and their families. At the beginning of the book we see her "saved" by a mafia doctor and shes taken to his family home and there begins the romance between her and one of the doctors sons. A lot of twists and turns to keep you excited all the way through 500+ pages.

This was another story I didn't think I'd like but again an author proved me wrong. Dublin girl Freda Wilson has a lovely surprise when her new next door neighbour starts to flirt with her. Usually it's her best friend that gets the bloke's attention but Freda is in for an even bigger surprise when she see's her new next door neighbour up on stage at a local club....and is that makeup he's wearing?! I absolutely adored this book and I fell for Nicholas just as much as Freda did...which surprised the hell out of me. You know you've found an amazing author when she can make you fall for a man who walks in heels better than you can. Don't worry though ladies we're told that this Hero looks just as good in a pair of jeans as he does in a corset and stockings ;-)

I had this book on my kindle for awhile now but I was distracted by other novels. I finally sat down to read it after hearing some of my favourite bloggers talk about it. It's a great road trip story with a stunning romance. It's a weepy one so keep some tissues close. It takes a few chapters before the story really starts but stay with it and you'll be in for a lovely surprise.

This was released just a few days ago and after reading Abbi Glines' other series I knew I needed to read this one. I have to say this is my favourite from her so far. I'm a sucker for stories with emotionally scarred characters. This is in a series so I'll be waiting awhile to read more about Della and Wood's. A great love story so far with a lot of angst. Which seems to be something I love in novels :-)

I've waited years to read this novel. I knew going in that It would make me cry like a baby. It was so worth it though and I continued to think of the characters a long time after I'd finished the last page. This is the story about Hannah and the thirteen reasons why she committed suicide. It's beautifully written and keeps you on the edge of your seat the whole way through and you'll feel like the author has ripped your heart from your chest....but in a good way.  Keep those tissues close :-)

A quick side note : Most if not all of these novels contain sexual scenes and some even violence so I suggest them for a more mature audience
Those are some of the novels I've loved and adored in the last month. What were yours?
