REVIEW - LUSH - Shoot For The Stars Bath Bomb

Hullo Ladies!

So recently I became fascinated with LUSH and made a few orders :-)

Due to that I forsee a great many LUSH reviews in my future, here's the first one!

This is the Shoot For The Stars Bath Bomb which is from the Christmas Collection.

The first thing I noticed about this bath bomb was the smell. Its a sweet citrus scent that's addictive.

Talking to some people on Instagram who love LUSH, this bomb apparently shares it's scent with the Honey I Washed The Kids Soap but I've never tried that product so I don't know for certain.

As you can see in the pictures this bath bomb gives a spectacular show, it's so pretty and has so much silver glitter!

It look's like some type of artwork in your bath :-)

The smell lingered for a long time which I loved and my skin felt gorgeous when I got out.

I did find that some of the silver glitter stayed around the edges of my bath but they were easily washed away.

I can't recommend this bath bomb enough!

Have you tried it?

What your favourite LUSH product?

HUGE LUSH Halloween + Christmas Haul

 Hullo Ladies!

I've made three LUSH Orders this past month since they released their Halloween and Christmas Collections, this time of the year is the only time I really buy from lush so I like to stock up when I can :-)

My First Order consisted of ;

500ml Bottle Of Snow Fairy (Christmas) Iconic scent for Lush Fans and one of the first product's I ever bought from the brand.

Sparkly Pumpkin Bubble Bar  (Halloween) A gorgeous orange pumpkin with gold luster. Smells very fruity. Not what I expected but nice none the less.

Magic Wand Bubble Bar (Christmas) One of the few products I've tried in the past, smells just like Snow Fairy!

Shoot For The Stars Bath Bomb (Christmas) I've used this already and have to say it gives a beautful show in the bath, I really grew to love the scent too which Ive been told smells like Honey I washed The Kids but I couldn't tell you for sure yet because I've not tried that particular product :-)

Father Christmas Bath Bomb (Christmas) Smells like Snow Fairy and I can't wait to try it!

My Second Order consisted of more Seasonal releases but also one permanent product.

Wizard Bubble Bar - Very cute, I've already used it so I'll be reviewing soon!

Phoenix Rising Bath Bomb - This is part of the permanent range but to me smells great at this time of year! Smells like cinnamon so definitely one to try if you're fan of warm spicy scents.

Cinders Bath Bomb - This is the only other thing I've ever bought from LUSH in the past and it's amazing. Again it's very warm and spicy and it has popping candy!

Candy Mountain Bubble Bar - Smells like Snow Fairy and for some reason reminds me of The Grinch. I'm in love with it!

So White Bath Bomb - I ordered this because I'd heard so much about it from bloggers, It smells like the skin of an apple to me, a very realistic soft scent. I can't wait to use it and see what the hype is all about :-)

Golden Wonder Bath Bomb - Another much loved product that is supposed to be amazing when you put it in the bath. It makes a noise when you shake it so that's exciting!

Northern Lights Bath Bomb - This came broken so I emailed the customer care line and they've told me they are sending a replacement. I wouldn't usually complain about such a thing but I've heard and seen on Instagram how amazing this is! Can't wait to try it!

Reindeer Rock Soap - I was dying to try a soap from the brand so I chose this one, it's smells very fruity and I love it :-)

Santa's Lip Scrub - For years I've heard amazing things about these Lip Scrubs so I decided to splurge and pick up the Santa's one. I have a lot to say about this one so I'll be reviewing soon!

So in the third and fianl order I chose:

Luxury Lush Pud - I decided to buy this one after seeing a video clip on Instagram it looked amazing! Can't wait to try it in the bath.

Snow Fairy Shower Gel - I bought another 500ml bottle, I know, I'm naughty but it so darn good!

Yog Nog Soap - Oh My God, this soap smells so yummy. I really want to get more but I'm going to force myself to wait awhile! Three orders in one month is plenty!

The Christmas Penguin Bubble Bar - I've heard so much about this little guy that I had to try him out. He smell very fresh and I can't wait to see how my bubble bath turns out tonight :-)

The Comforter - This is in the permanent line but I've  been meaning to try it for ages as it's talked about a lot! After hearing that it also shared it's scent with the Reindeer Rock soap I knew I had to get it! So glad I did. The smell reminds me of my childhood for some reason!

So that's my HUGE Lush haul!

Have you ordered anything from the seasonal range yet?

REVIEW - The Body Shop - Special Edition Blueberry Range

Hullo Ladies!

So a few months back I took advantage of a The Body Shop's sale, I picked up some of the Blueberry Range.

Even though the range isn't there right now, I thought I'd review it as a lot of the time they bring back certain lines at certain times of the year.

I ended up picking up the Shower Gel, Body Scrub and Lip Butter.

The scent is pretty much what you would expect. It does smell like blueberries.

It's fruity and light :-)

I loved the shower gel as it created some lovely bubbles in the bath! They lasted a long time too. One of the thing's I love about The Body Shop Shower Gels :-)

The Body Scrub looks and smells a lot like blueberry jam! It's a good middle between the cream and the sugar scrubs The Body Shop sell. The only problem I have is that it contains a lot of exfoliating bits that can be quite messy in a bath tub so I use this while in the shower.

The Lip Butter is gorgeous and I keep it in my handbag along with the strawberry one!

It's very moisturizing and smells lovely.

I highly recommend the range and hope that they re-release it next spring :-)

Did you try the line?

What did you think?

Birthday Haul - Perfume, The Body Shop + MAC

 Hullo Ladies!

The month of September was a busy month for me! It was my birthday month :-)

I received lots and lots of lovely goodies!

From my parents I was given this super cute birthday cake! It was so tasty :-)

I was also given this Nails Inc Gel Effect Nail Polish Set :-)

I knew I was going out for a few meals in the month of September so I decided to buy myself a new dress and chose this one by Alice & You from ASOS

From my friends Jess, I recieved this gift set from Bomb Cosmetics. It's the Strawberry one :-) Love it!

From my Nan I was given this Photo Frame!

I really wanted one like this for my bedroom so I was so super happy with it :-)

With the money my Auntie gave me I bought a new Makeup Revolution Blush Palette in Hot Spice!

It's gorgeous :-)

She also gave me a box of chocolates and a gorgeous soft toy rabbit.

My brother took me Shopping and bought me some lovely goodies from The Body Shop as they had a fab £25 off a £50 spend!

I picked three shower gels, three body lotions, two hand creams, a shampoo and a body scrub.

I was also given two three gifts!

The Vitamin E Face Cream and the Warming Mineral Mask :-)

Then a few days later with some of the money I had left I made a few more purchases from The Body Shop. I like to buy in bulk and then use them through out the year!

I bought the Coconut, Mango and She Medium Sets :-)

They had the 40% off code on at the time so they were a lot cheaper than what I would have paid! Bargain!

A week later I took advantage of the Debenhams 10% off beauty offer code and picked up some MAC goodies.

Two Pro Longwear Paint Pots in Painterly and Bare Study.

Three Lipstick in Chatterbox, Lustering and Russian Red.

I was also given some gorgeous new perfumes this year!

Coco Mademoiselle EDP by Chanel, Flowerbomb by Viktor & Rolf, Stella by Stella McCartney and Light Blue by Dolce & Gabbana.

The Chanel was gift for myself by myself!

Does anyone else do that? Haha!

I was also given a few DVD's this year too :-)

Wayne's World, which I loved as a kid! The Woman In Black, which is one of my favourite horror movies. The first season of The Fresh Prince Of Bel Air & To Wong Foo, Thanks For Everything, Julie Newmar, which is another childhood favourite!

So I was officially spoiled rotten again this year!

I can't wait to review some of these products!

Especially The Body Shop goodies, the MAC stuff and the Perfumes! Yay!

Early Onset Alzheimer's and Living With It.

Hi Guys!

Now I'm no doctor so I'm terribly sorry if anything I write in this post is wrong in some way or offensive to some people. I just want to talk about what my family has been going through these last few years.

On the 18th of August this year my mother was officially diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's disease.

She is 45 years old.

My family has a lot of history with Alzheimer's disease. When my mother was younger than I am now, she lost her father, her aunt and her uncle to Early On Set Alzheimer's Disease. In a few short years she had lost a big important chunk of her family.

It was around six years ago when we started noticing a difference with my mother. I remember her repeating herself a lot and having to write down everything she had to do that day. For a long time none of us did anything about it because a few years before this she had been diagnosed with Fibromyalgia and we had been told that it came with slight memory loss. We told ourselves that it was just that, we had nothing to worry about.

Then when I turned eighteen. I finished a college course and started looking for work. There wasn't much around so I ended up spending a lot of my time at home with my mam. I began noticing her getting worse and worse and one day she left the house to go to the opticians. I remember getting worried because she'd been gone for awhile, I rang her mobile and when she answered, she told me she couldn't find the car. I told her to stay were she was and I phoned my father to go pick her up. He found her easily but that night we decided as a family to go to the doctors the next morning.

It took them a long time to diagnose her, the doctor we were given in the beginning was useless and we just kept going around in circles. Then at the beginning of this year we went back to our GP and told him that we weren't happy with the doctor she was under and he was shocked to find that they had no records of any tests the memory doctor had given her. So our GP told us that she needed to see a neurologist. It took another six months to get the appointment.

He diagnosed her within two hours of meeting her.

Even though my whole family at that point had come to there own conclusion of what was going on it was still a kick in the teeth when we were told. It's funny, even though my mother has been diagnosed with this horrible disease. I have this fear that the doctors are going to say they were wrong and take the diagnosis away. How fucked up is that? All I can figure from it is that at least now we know, I hate the fact that she has this disease but at least now we know what we're fighting against. I would never wish the limbo of not knowing on anyone. It was the worst time of my life.

I've been officially caring for my mam now for about two years because we realized that someone needed to be with her at all times.

What I've come to understand these last few years is that unsurprisingly a lot of the time the movies get it wrong and you can't really understand this disease unless you see it up close and personal. Until the day comes when you realize that someone you love and respect has lost the ability to write, to drive, to cut up their food, to get dressed or even say a complete sentence without muddling up their words.

So that's all I want to say about it for now, I've kept it quite for a long time. Longer than I should have.

You know what though? A day doesn't go by that me and my mam don't laugh our arses off. I think that's how we've gotten through what we have so far. She's still my best friend and she always will be.

Love You Mam x

Eau My Giddy God - Issey Miyake - Pleats Please EDT

Hullo Ladies!

I've been super busy this month so I have hardly posted anything lately but I thought I'd write up a perfume review as I seem to be obsessed with collecting perfumes again!

This is a new favourite of mine called Pleats Please by Issey Miyake.

I received a sample earlier in the year and fell in love instantly but I had so many perfumes to go through that I didn't allow myself to buy a new one.

Finally about a month ago I finished a few bottles around the same time so I made a few sneaky orders and Pleats Please was one of them.

I bought the 50ml bottle from Amazon for a great price so I suggest having a look on there :-)

I would call this a unique floral scent. It's so hard to explain because I've never smelt anything like it.

The notes are - Sweet Pea, Pear, Peony, Musk, Indole, Vanilla, Cedar and Patchouli.

It's long lasting and has great silage so I've had many complements when wearing it.

It also develops beautifully over time and I can honestly say it's one of my favourite perfumes right now.

Have you tried this perfume? What's your favourite right now?

Makeup Revolution Haul

Hullo Ladies!

A few weeks ago I made a Superdrug order to try out the famous Makeup Revolution Brand that I've heard so much about recently.

It's a new inexpensive brand that much talked about lately and I've heard amazing things about the quality so I was super excited to finally give them a go!

The first thing I bought was this Sweet and Spicy Ultra Blush Palette.

It's a gorgeous palette that I've been using a lot lately and I have to say I like each shade!

The other products I bought are from the I Heart Makeup range.

I bought the Blushing Hearts Blusher in Queen Of Candy Hearts and also the Goddess Of Love Highlighter!

As you can see, they look very similar to the Too Faced blushes but I haven't tried those product yet so I couldn't suggest if they were dupes.

Though these are only £4.99 each which is a big price difference from the Too Faced Blushes.

I absolutely adore all the products I've bought from the brand and can't wait to try out more.

The other products in the first photo are samples from Superdrug that came with my purchase :-)

Have you tried the brand yet?

What do you think?
