REVIEW - Rimmel London - Glam'eyes Eyeshadow - Backstage

Hullo Lovley Ladies!

A few weeks ago whilst out shopping with my brother I stopped in Poundland.

I like to step in every so often just to see if they have any good deals on beauty products.

I managed to pick up the Rimmel London Glam'eyes Eyeshadow in shade 102 "Backstage"

I remember when these came out and even though I loved the shades I didn't find it necessary to pay the price for just one eye shadow.

As you can see its a lovely taupe with shimmer.

It's a beautiful neutral shade.

It looks lovely on its own with a slick of eyeliner and mascara or with a few over shades to make a dazzling smokey eye.

I'm so glad I could try this out at such a great price!

You can't go wrong with £1 for a great quality eye shadow :-)

Dear Santa.....I can Explain!

Dear Santa,

I've been a good girl this year.... It was only that one small incident....I swear ;-)

So I was hoping if you could bring me some of these goodies this Christmas..

So firstly, something I've been wanting for a long time now is this Roberto Cavalli Perfume. It's definitely a statement perfume.

Image taken from Google.com

This may sound like a strange one but for years I've wanted to own a Snowglobe. Something pretty and well made that can come down from the attic every year and be put out for show in the festive season. I've been loving the look of the ones from TK Maxx and Marks and Spencers :-)

Taken From the Marks and Spencer Website

One thing I have never owned is a Christmas jumper, I have really wanted one for awhile now, I recently saw this in new look and was blown away with my desire to buy it but as I was shopping for family I managed to stop myself....

The next thing I want is something for my skin, I seem to be going through puberty again or something, the amount of blemishes I've gotten over the last few months is ridiculous  I don't think I had this many all the way through my teen years. I've heard a lot of good things about the Anti Blemish range from Clinique so It would be great if I could get something from them to sort it all out!

So that's my Christmas wish list Santa, hope Mrs Claus is well!

Lots of Love,

Recent Collective Haul - Why I love TK Maxx Part 2

Hey Lovely Ladies :-)

I haven't done a haul in a while so I thought I would show you what I've bought this last month.

Nails Inc St James - Glamour Magazine - Free
Glade Candle - Winter Berries - £2
Garnier Olia Hair Dye - Intense Red - Supurdrug - £6.99
MUA - Undressed Palette - Superdrug - £4
Vera Wang - Princess Night 50ml - TK Maxx - £24.99

I picked up the Nails Inc polish but then realized that I have something very similar to it so I will be giving it to my best friend because she LOVES red nail polishes. I love when magazines give away free goodies. Especially when the magazine is only £2!

I picked up the Glade Candle in Spar for just £2. I don't know if it was on offer or not but for £2 I'll be picking up a few more of these it smells gorgeous!

I really needed to re-dye my hair this month. My roots were looking awful. I've also been trying really hard to dye over the black in my hair. I tried the hair stripper but it didn't work very well and smelt so bad *rotten eggs!* that I don't want to try it again. I've told my friends to shoot me if I ever contemplate dying my hair black again because I always end up changing my mind a month later!

I finally caved and bought the Undressed palette from MUA. Well in actual fact I bought one for my auntie and one for a friend for Christmas and I just happened to know that they were on a 3 for 2 offer. Mwhahahaha! I can't wait to review and compare this to my Naked palette :-)

This must be the best purchase this month...you all know I love a good deal and I couldn't believe it when I found the new Vera Wang perfume in  TK Maxx. 50ml for just £24.99! Just after I bought it we stopped in Boots and they wanted £45 for it so I felt so lucky! I've been wanting to try a Vera Wang perfume for ages :-) It's gorgeous and i'll be reviewing it soon!

One thing that I picked up yesterday that isn't photographed is The Grinch DVD......I've loved this movie since it came out...I made my mam take me to see it three times! It's been recorded on my Sky box since last Christmas so when I saw it in Matalan for £2.99 I knew I had to pick it up :-)

So that's my haul, I'm off to watch I'm A Celeb :-)

Hope your all enjoying your weekend!

REVIEW - Too Faced - Shadow Insurance Policy Palette

Hullo Lovely Ladies!

I made my first Too Faced purchase in TK Maxx not long ago and I've been using them a lot since so I thought I'd do a review for you all :-)

The Palette I bought was the Shadow Insurance Policy which came with a full size primer which I will be reviewing separately.

I would say that the shadows are comparable to some of my favourite eye shadow brands e.g Urban Decay and MUA.

They are extremely smooth, pigmented, easy to blend and long lasting even without a primer.

I made sure to take this with flash to show you how the shadows in this palette all have some form of shimmer/glitter.

So if your a fan of more matte shadows then this may not be the palette for you.

The Shadows in this palette are :-

Full Frontal - A chocolate brown.
Glamazon - A taupe with fine glitter.
Socialite - A burnt orange bronze.
Boy Toy - A light pink.
Skinny Dip - A nice royal blue.
Lucky Charm - Beautiful Green.

My favourites are Full Frontal, Socialite and Boy Toy.

I'd love to wear Glamazon more often but with the glitter its more of a night out shadow to wear, the last time I wore it in the day I was really self conscious about the glitter that seemed to be showing up all over my face, even with a primer!

Skinny Dip and Lucky Charms are probably the hardest for me to wear but I have tried them as subtle liners and I think they would be stunning to use for next summer.

I'm really glad I managed to pick this up, especially for the price I bought it!

I wouldn't hesitate picking up something else from Too Faced if I was lucky enough to find it :-)

I hope TK Maxx will bring in some more products soon!

I'm going Christmas shopping tomorrow, trying to get it all done quickly so I'm not stressing the week before like last year!

Have a great Weekend :-)

REVIEW - Demeter - Sex On The Beach & Wild Blackberry Peach Cobbler

Hi Lovely Ladies!

I bought these two perfumes from Ebay a few weeks ago after searching online for what felt like months.

I finally found them at a good price and bought them as soon as I could.

Demeter is a company that make cologne sprays that are based on simple or unusual things.

Some of the most popular fragrances are;

Snow
Rain
Salt Air
Pink Lemonade
Honeysuckle
Dirt
Gin and Tonic
Thunderstorm

Now I'm going to be reviewing the two scents I own

Sex On The Beach

This cologne was part of the Happy Hour Collection that focused on popular alcohol drinks.

This was quite a disappointment. I had heard that the cologne sprays where not very long lasting but this was simply ridiculous  It lasted seconds.Which for the price they are asking for is shocking. Luckily I got this at a good price.

Onto the smell. This is an extremely sweet scent. Quite sickly to me, even though I'm a big fan of sweet scents this is very overpowering in that area.

The notes are :

Vodka, Pineapple, raspberry, melon and cranberry.

I wouldn't suggest this to anyone, not just because I don't like the scent but because of the lack of lasting power. I'm trying to give this away to someone right now but no one I know seems to like it !

Wild Blackberry Peach Cobbler

This scent came out with the Jelly Belly Collection. When I saw it on Ebay I got really excited because I LOVE Jelly Belly sweets. I've been eating them for years!

I really like this scent. It has a a lovely creamy note too it which I believe comes from the peach. It's not as sweet and has a slight bitterness to it, which just makes it more interesting and not sickly. I think the lemon notes make it smell very fresh and clean but not strong enough to turn it into bathroom cleaner.

It's also a lot longer lasting. I find the smell lingers for a good two hours before I need to re-apply.

The notes are;

Peach, Blackberry and Lemon.

I'm glad I picked this one up, it's nice to carry around in my handbag. I think I'll be using it a lot next year when we get back into those "warmer" months.

I'm so happy that I liked at least one and I got to try a new brand that I've found interesting. They are also good for novelty affect I guess, with names like "Thunderstorm" and "Gin and Tonic" but I don't think I'd buy another :-) It's nice to have them in my collection but I wouldn't say they where stunning perfumes!

Hope you have all had a great weekend!

REVIEW - GOSH - Long Lasting Eye Liner Pen - Carbon Black

Hullo Beautiful People!

I've had a long love for eyeliner and my go to product is the Bobbi Brown Long Wear Gel Eyeliner in Espresso Ink...although I think I'd love any of the colours.

I'd stopped using eye liner pens back last year when I found that I was better at applying gel liners. I recently wanted to try one though as my technique has gotten better ;-)

I remembered that I bought this GOSH Eye Liner Pen earlier in the year on a 3 for 2 offer. At the time I put it right at the back of my box and didn't think of it again until recently.

I actually adore the applicator brush on this product.  It's pointed and quite sturdy. I love that the pointed end gives you the ability to create a fine line, making a cat eye look super easy and flawless

One flaw to this product is that, whilst being very dark going on it does lighten when dry. That means that I like to put an extra layer on which darkens it enough for my liking. For me that isn't a problem as I like to take my time when applying my makeup but it could be a little annoying when your in a rush.

Something you could do to help is to apply a little bit a matte black eyeshadow over it when its wet. Just to give it a bit a depth if you're into a very dark look.

The amazing thing about this product is that it actually does what it sets out to do. It's extremely long wearing.

I find it lasts a good 6 - 7 hours on me. Not as long as Bobbi Brown but definitely better than some of the other drugstore/highstreet brands that I had tried back last year.

It can be a bit hard to remove when just using makeup wipes but It comes of fine with an oil based remover.

This sells for £6.49 in Superdrug stores.

Here's a link and it's actually on a 3 for 2 offer at the moment!

Hope you're all having a good week and that you enjoyed Guy Fawkes Night  :-)

I'm off to watch the new series of American Horror Story !
