Nail Polish TAG

I know I might be a bit late in this tag but I only just found it and I really liked the questions :) Plus its my first Tag post! Yay!

1. What is your favourite nail polish company?

High End: My Favorite high end brand is OPI just because of the colour range and the brush. The brush makes it so easy and quick to apply to my nails. Some of their names arn't half bad either :)

Low End: Barry M because the colours and formulas are amazing, I havnt bought one that I have not fallen madly in love with and its just £2.99 a bottle! :)

2. Glitter or no glitter?

I love glitter nail polishes, one of my favorites is GOSH Gasoline :) I don;t mind the time it takes to get my nails clean again, they are so worth it!

3. OPI, China Glaze or Essie?

I guess it would have to be OPI but I have not tried China Glaze or Essie. I doubt I would be able to get China Glaze anytime soon but I know Boots stock Essie so maybe some day :)

4. When do you change your nail polish?

Recently everyday! I love experimenting with nail polish right now so sometimes its more than once a day!

5. What’s your favourite colour on your nails?

I recently made a Nail Polish Collection post and I realised most of my colours are blue, thats because I find blue such a attractive colour when Im looking for nail polish.

6. Darks or brights?

Ohh this is hard for me because I love both dark colours and bright, usually Its due to weather, If its sunny out then I'm usually sporting something bright, if its not so sunny then I like more unique and intriguing colours on my nails, prehaps some navy colours or teal :)

7. What are you wearing on your nails right at this moment?

Right now I'm wearing a new Barry M polish in Copper, It such a lush colour. With loads of different coloured glitter so it seems to change when hit by different light.

8. Matte nails, in or out?

In, when with the right colour. I find that some nail polishes look lovely with a matte finish, overs look best with a gloss coat.

9. French Manicure?

I have only ever had a French Manicure once and that was for a cousins wedding when I was 13, I can't rememeber if I loved it or not, all I remember is that she had a chocolate wedding cake :) YUM!  I love the look of them on other people, they look so pretty and girly. Someday I will have to try them again!

10. Favourite Summer colours?

Probably a lovely coral colour or a light blue :) I have been wearing Barry M's Blueberry Ice Cream a lot this year when the suns out....It just calls to me :)

                                                                Thanks,
                                                                Linzi xx

Colourful NOTD :-)

Hello Ladies,

It's cloudy and horrible in South Wales today so I decided to brighten it up with some colourful nails. This is what I came up with :) it's not the best or most creative but as I am kind of new to experimenting with my nails and usually do something simple, I think I really put myself out there today :P haha

I used all Barry M colours, the bas colour was Strawberry Ice Cream, the next was Pink Flamingo and then on the tips is Cyan Blue.

Thanks,
Linzi xx

REVIEW : Rimmel Vinyl Max Lip gloss

Hey Guys and Dolls :)

I'm like a blogging ninja, three posts in one day! This is a review on a Rimmel lip gloss I picked up a few months ago.

This is a Viynle Max lip gloss that has 8ml of product and is priced at £5.49 on the Boots website. When I picked this product up I thought it was a great idea, a wand that can give you, as Boots puts it "Volumptuous Shine. One effortless stroke" but then I tried it on. It's such a thick consistancy and the brush packs so much product that I could probably not only cover my lips but everyone else's in the world and there mother! :) Okay a slight exaggeration but still, it is way to big a brush. I understand the idea behind it and maybe my lips are just too thin for this type of lip gloss but because of this everytime I apply it I spend ages trying to sort out the mess it has left outside my lip line.

That being said the colour of this lip gloss is lovely, it is pink with a lot of blue shimmers.

I have tried a lot of Rimmel lip glosses and I used to love a certain line they made but then they went and discontinued them :( why do brands do that??

In comparison to a normal sized lip gloss wand.

As you can probably tell I didn't like this lip gloss and wont be re-purchasing, but this is the kind of product that you are best off trying yourself. You might get on with a bigger brush but I think I will stick to my normal sized wands from now on ;)

Thanks, Linzi xx

NOTD - Barry M's Peach Melba and Nails Inc Black Crackle

Hello Everyone,

I tried something different today for my nails, even though I have had Nails Inc's Black crackle for awhile now, I havnt experimented with it for some time, so today I decided to try this combo and I think it came out great :)

I find Barry M Peach Melba quite hard to wear sometimes, not because of the formula but because of my super pale skin tone but with the black crackle I think it really works and now I don't feel like I wasted my money! Yay! :)

Barry M Nail Paints

Hullo Ladies,

I have added a few new Barry M Nail Paints to my polish collection today which I bought from Superdrug.

From L- R Strawberry Ice Cream, Blueberry Ice Cream and Copper.

Blueberry Ice Cream is a lovely light blue, I love blue colour but realised last night that most of the blues in my collection are dark and I only had one light blue, which was a shimmer, this caught my eye this morning and I picked it up straight away :)

Strawberry Ice Cream is a light pink that is quite sheer on the first coat giving you a natural french nail but on the second coat it becomes more opaque and like the colour in the bottle.

It looks like Barry M has brought out a few new shades too and this is one of them :) I love it, you can layer it to have the same colour pay off that is in the bottle or you can use it sparingly as a top coat over another colour or bare nail to just add a bit of shimmer.

So this is my Barry M Nail Paint Collection so far.

From L - R Berry Ice Cream, Peach Melba, Strawberry Ice Cream, Blueberry Ice Cream, Cyan Blue and Copper.

I love the formula of the Barry M nail polishes. I have tried higher end brands and some of them are not nearly as good as these polishes. For just £2.99 it's an inexpensive way to have gorgeous nails :)

What is your favorite Barry M Nail Paint?

NOTD - Barry M - Berry Ice Cream

Hullo,

I bought my first Barry M Nail Paints a few days ago and wanted to try them out so today I decided on Berry Ice Cream which  is a lovely pastel purple. I had not tried a pale purple on my nails before, I usually like dark colours, so I was abit worried on how it would look but I love it.

Its such a girly, princess colour. Flattering on the nails and has a great coverage. This is two coats but it could probably be done with just the one.

These polishes are £2.99 on the Boots Website and I bought them on a "3 for 2" offer :) Yay!

I also tried the nail polish with a glitter to see how it looks because sometimes if I have worn a polish for a few days and have not got the time or energy to change it, I will just apply a glitter top coat over it.

I hope you can see how pretty it is!

I applied NYC's  Gramercy Glitz

So I am now in love with Barry M nail polishes and will be buying some more soon but I don't know which ones to get....Any help?

Thanks Linzi xxx

REVIEW: Boots Natural Collection Juicy Lips lip gloss

Hello Ladies,

I have been thinking about future blog posts today and I realised that I was missing some of my favorite products so I'm very eager to introduce to you two lip glosses that seem to spend most of their time in my handbag or jeans pocket :)

Sherbert Fizz By Natural Collection

This is a pink lipgloss that has tiny shimmers, its smells lovely and sweet and goes on smooth without being sticky. I find it looks great on its own or over a pink lipstick. The Natural Collection is a very inexpensive brand from Boots that have a lot of great products in its line.

Fondant by Natural Coollection

It is a creamy, peach nude and I often wear it over my GOSH Darling lipstick as that is way to pale for me on its own. The gives it a lovely peachy tone. Again it smells lovely and goes on smooth without being sticky.

I have been buying Natural Collection since I was young and I still go back to it at times, for the price you can not beat the quality.

These lip glosses are priced at £1.99 but are often on a "3 for 2" offer or a buy 3 for £5 offer :)

Have you tried Natural Collection?

Thanks, Linzi xx
