FOTD - Sleek Storm Palette, MAC Hug Me Lipstick + more

Hullo Ladies!

I'm pretty sure this is my first FOTD post but recently I joined instagram and I've fallen in love with the beauty community on there and it's given me a bit more confidence with my blogging. I hope that If any of you have instagram that you'll either post your username in the comments section or follow me on Linzilou92 :-)

The Product's Used:

Sleek Storm Palette
Sleek Pink Lemonade Blush By 3 Palette
Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation
MAC Hug Me Lipstick
Urban Decay Primer Potion
TheBalm Mary Lou-Manizer Highlighter
Soap and Glory Thick and Fast Mascara
Avon Super Shock Eyeliner

As you can tell I'm still in love with Sleek and can't wait to try some more looks out with the palette's I've bought from them recently.

Out of the Storm palette I used the dark browns to create a smokey eye and kept the rest of my makeup quite simple.

So that's my first ever FOTD post on my blog :-)

What products have you been loving lately?

REVIEW - TheBalm - Hot Mama! Blush

Hullo Ladies!

I'm reviewing a blush today that I won in a giveaway earlier in the year.

I'd been wanting to purchase Hot Mama! by TheBalm for awhile, as I'd read many reviews on it as it's considered a great dupe for the famous Nars Orgasm Blush.

It's a pinky peach with gold shimmer running throughout it that highlights the cheek bone and looks stunning when it catches the light.

It can be used as both a blusher and a eyeshadow.

You get 7.08g of products and a good size mirror and a hidden magnet to keep it closed.

When I recieved this product, I suddenly noticed how many blushes out there that are very similar to this, maybe due to Nars Orgasm being so popular companies caught on that this type of shade is universally favoured.

As I do not own Orgasm I don't know how similar it actually is to Hot Mama Sadly. If you look on google though I'm sure some lovely blogger out there has done a comparison on the both of them :-)

Two particular dupes I heard about were Rose Gold and Guipure from Sleek. I own Guipure and though it's a similar type of blush its more pink toned than Hot Mama!

You can read my review of Guipure here.

swatch of Hot Mama!

This gorgeous blush is easily blended into the skin and has amazing lasting power.

I love how it looks on the cheeks and use it as both a blush and highlighter.

It gives a gorgeous glow to the skin that looks amazing in the Summer.

I absolutely love this product, it's great quality and well worth the money.

You can be gentle when applying to give yourself just a slight flush of colour or you can build it up, it's up to you!

It's universally flattering and sometimes I like to apply it other a brighter matte blush if I'm being brave :-)

You can buy this here on Amazon!

Have you tried this blush? Do you love it as much as me?!

April 2013 Favourites

Hullo ladies!

It's the beginning of a new month, so I've taken some time to think back on what I loved in the month of April : Beauty wise.

Garnier Moisture Match in Goodbye Dry

I reviewed this recently and as you may notice I've nearly run out of it. I've already repurchased it and I'm so happy I've found a moisturiser that works for me personally.

Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation

I've recently been on a foundation binge....as well as blusher and lipstick *Ooops*.....and I picked this up because I heard so much about it through beauty bloggers. It's a great foundation and although not my exact colour match its very close and workable. I love how it just looks like skin.

Revlon Colorstay Foundation for Normal to Dry Skin

Another foundation I'd heard so much about I just had to try it atleast once. I've been loving the coverage. A lot of people say its full but I'd say it's more a high medium as I don't think it covers everything. It's great for covering redness but I still need a concealer for blemishes and under eye circles. I still really love it though and will probably re-purchase once I run out.

Maybelline Colorsensational Vivid in Neon Red

I'm in love with the colorsensational vivid range but Neon Red is probably my most worn this month. It's a gorgeous orange toned red that would fit most skin tones. It's beautifully pigmented and I reviewed it here

Revlon Colorburst Lip Butter in Juicy Papaya

Recently I jumped on the "Lip Butter" bandwagon and  one I picked up was the new Juicy Papaya colour. At first I was slightly disappointed it wasn't that pigmented but then I realised it looked gorgeous in its own or on top of a more pigmented lipstick.

The Balm Hot Mama Blush/Eyeshadow

I recently won this baby in a giveaway and I was so happy about it because I've wanted it for the longest time. It's a gorgeous peachy colour with gold shimmer running through it. Beautiful!

Diesel Loverdose EDP

I purchased  this lovely perfume in the Post Christmas Sale and I've been loving it this Spring. It's a gorgeous sweet licorice scent. It last's a good time and the bottle is amazing :-)

What have been your favourites in the last month?

REVIEW - Balm Shelter Tinted Gloss by The Balm

Hello Ladies,

I bought this Lip gloss from Tkmaxx back last year and I love it.

It's a very moisturizing lip gloss and is a lush sheer coral colour that is great for the summer.

The colour is in "Girly Girl" and has tiny shimmers running through it.

It also has SPF 17

I love the colour on my lips and the smell is amazing, just like banana's and strawberry's, It has a tartness that smells more real than most of the fruit scented products that are out there. This is the only thing I have from The balm but if I see anything by them In Tkmaxx then I definitely will be picking them up :)

Thanks, Linzi xx
