My January 2014 Favourites

Hullo Ladies!

An end to another month, the first month in a new year in fact. Like Always I found January to go awful slow. Probably because I'm still on a downer from Christmas.

One thing that was exciting about January though was all the new products I got to try out!!

My first two favorites this month have been my new Sleek Blushes. I bought Flamingo and Pixie Pink earlier in the Month and I love them. I'm obsessed. I want them all :-) They're pigmented and easy to blend and last ages on me!

I've also been loving my bottle of J'adore Dior perfume. It smells amazing! It's super fresh and feminine. I can't stop smelling it. I've worn it a lot of the month and I love that my leather jacket now smells of J'adore. It stays around for so long without being overpowering.

As you may know I've had great results from using The Body Shop Tea Tree range and my parents bought me some more from the line for Christmas this year and one of the products was this Squeaky Clean Scrub, I didn't pick this up a few months ago because I didn't want to spend the money on a scrub that was only 100ml. Boy was I being silly. This scrub is amazing and guess what? You only need a pea sized amount for your whole face. It foams up beautifully and really helps to exfoliate your skin without being to harsh. I'm in love!

I also received my first LUSH products this Christmas and I adored both of them but this Snow Fairy Shower Gel is truly amazing. I just love the smell. The Lush bag happened to be in my room the week before Christmas and that whole week my bedroom smelt delicious. I'm so gutted it's a seasonal product, I'm going to have to stock up next Winter.

My last favourite of the month is this Soap and Glory Butter Yourself Moisture lotion. It smell's bloody amazing and my skin feels super soft after using it. I actually can't wait to pick up the Foam Call Shower Gel as I hear it smells the same as this Lotion. I'm sure I smelt this on a girl I spoke to in a pub last weekend, she smelt just like this. I didn't ask if she used this or had a perfume that smelt similar. I wish I had now! Does anyone know of a perfume that's smells similar? Let me know!!

So what have you been loving this Month?

Have any Sleek Blushes you think I should try out?!

Small Boot's Haul - Sleek, Dolce & Gabbana.

Hullo Ladies!

I had a little sneaky look at the Boot's website the other day and happened to add a few things to my basket.  :-)

Boot's now have the brand Sleek on their website and they were running an offer, buy one get the second half price!

So I decided to buy two of their blushes, Pixie Pink and Flamingo.

I've already tried Sleek blushes so I knew I'd like them.

Pixie Pink is a matte bubblegum pink and Flamingo is a coral toned pink with a sheen running through it.

Next I had a look at the perfume gift sets. I've already picked up a few perfumes this month with the January sales but when you see my upcoming empties post you'll know that I'm going through perfumes crazy lately.

Also I've always wanted to try Dolce & Gabbana The One and after testing this out on store a few times I knew I liked it.

I got the 50ml bottle and the 100ml lotion for around £30 which is great as I'm sure the 50ml alone is around £58.

I'm so happy with everything I got.

Have you tried the Sleek Blushes? Which ones are your favourites?

REVIEW - The Body Shop - Tea Tree Skin Clearing Toner

Hullo Lovely Ladies!

So you may know by now that the last year I've suffered badly with my skin due to an allergic reaction.

I never really suffered with my skin as a teenager but as soon as I turned twenty my skin seemed to have a total break down, it got even more dry and I wasn't going a day without a new spot popping up.

Another thing I didn't realise as a teenager is how badly spots can scar your skin, on days were my skin was actually doing fine and I only had one or two spots it looked like more because the scars were so inflamed.

Anyway, after trying out a wide range of products from Simple to La Roche Posay, I decided to try out the Tea Tree Range.

This is the Tea Tree Skin Clearing Toner and it's amazing.

When I was ordering it on the website I wasn't really bothered about it as I've never used a toner and didn't really know what the benefits of using one was.

What The Body Shop say :  Suitable For Blemished Skin. Sweeps away traces of impurities for clearer looking skin. Leaves Skin Looking Mattified. Removes makeup, cleanser and impurities. Clinically proven to give clearer looking skin.

To activate the toner you need to shake it so the powder that sits at the bottom is mixed into the liquid and then pour some of the mixed liquid onto a cotton pad and sweep over your face and neck.

I really feel like using this with the other Tea Tree products has helped my skin immensely. Not only helping to stop many future spots appearing but to give my scars a chance to heal.

I don't believe it's dried my skin out but as I have dry skin anyway I always make sure to apply a moisturiser before bed. I'm liking the Vitamin E moisturiser from The body Shop at the moment.

I'm in love with this product and I've already got a back up bottle after asking for one for Christmas. I would definitely re-purchase this product and it's become an essential part of my routine

It cost £5 a bottle which I think is okay for a 250ml bottle but I really believe theres no need to pay full price for Body Shop products because there is always a sale or voucher code floating around. Right now on their website they have a sale going on and also a 40% off code for everything out of the sale. so right now you can buy it for just £3.

I definitely recommend this product, as well as most of the Tea Tree range. I'll be reviewing more of the products with time :-)

Have you tried this product? What do you think of it?

Post Christmas Sales Haul

Hullo Ladies!

Hope you all had a great New Years!

I stayed up till 5 in the morning watching movies and playing games with the family :-)

So like a lot of people I've done some Christmas Sales Shopping and heres my little haul!

I bought two perfume sets, one from The Perfume Shop and one from Boot's.

From The Perfume Shop I really wanted to pick up the Marc Jacobs Daisy set but they wen't of stock quickly so I ended up buying the Carolina Herrera 212 VIP set.

It includes the 50ml bottle and a body lotion for £32.99.

The other scent I bought was the Guerlain La Petite Robe Noir EDT 30 ml set from Boot's. I can't remember exactly what I paid for it but it was around the £15 mark. Which for a Guerlain perfume is bloody amazing.

I've wanted this perfume ever since it came out. I adore the bottle, the name and the cute little picture of a dress on the back. There's a EDP version of this which is also really lovely but reminds me of Loverdose which is a perfume I already own.

I had to take some DVD's back to Matalan so I decided to exchange them for some things in the sale.

One of the things I picked up was this cat onesie. I love it! I only have one other onesie and it's really thick and warm which is nice but makes it hard to sleep in. This one is just perfect.

I love buying bras from the matalan sale, I usually get a few around this time every year. They wern't as cheap as usual this year but they actually seem like better quality so I'm not that bothered. These were £4 each :-)

The last thing I bought from Matalan was a lovely pair of heels for £10.

I think they go amazing with the black velvet dress I was given for christmas.

Did you pick up anything in the sale?!

The When It Rains Beauty Awards 2013 :-)

Hey Guys!

Last year I did a kind of "Best of 2012" post but this year I wanted to jazz it up a little so today I decided to talk about one product from each beauty category that I feel stood out to me this year. So I'm calling it the When It Rains Beauty Awards. WRBA!

I'll be picking out some products that have been talked about frequently on this blog over the last year.

So Here we go!

Starting with...

 Nails!

The Award For "Nail Polish of The Year" must go to the Maybelline Mint For Life nail polish.

Picture Taken From Google

I have my own bottle here but I can't seem to find a picture of it on it's own on my computer.

It's a gorgeous opaque mint nail polish that has been on many bloggers monthly favourites this year. It's looks great on and I re-applied it many times this past Summer.

Body Lotion

The "Body Lotion Of The Year" Award Goes To.....Palmers Cocoa Butter!!!

This is a product that's been around for ages but I first tried it earlier in the year when I sampled it from a magazine and just had to own it for myself. It smells amazing and really does help with dry skin!

Face

The "Face Product Of The Year Award" Goes To Revlon Colorstay!

Revlon Colorstay has been around for a few years now and only this year did I try it out, I fell in instant love. It very workable even for my dry skin and the colour match is great!

Lips

The award for the "Lip Product Of The Year" goes too...

Maybelline Colorsensational Vivid in Neon Red!

The whole Maybelline Vivids line is amazing and I wish we had the whole range here in the UK but my favourite out of what we do have and also my favourite lip product from the whole year is the Neon Red lipstick. It's pigmented, flattering and moisturising. Everything you want really out of a red lipstick. Apparently it's also a dupe for Lady Danger from MAC!

Eye's

The award for "Eye Product Of The Year" goes to..Maybelline Color Tattoo in On and On Bronze

A savior for days when you want a bit of eyeshadow on but haven't got the time or patience. You just wipe some on with a finger or brush, blend and that's it you're ready to go. I really want to get some more of these and I'm interested in the Bourjois versions too.

Hair

The award for " Hair Product Of The Year" has to go to the Remington Pearl Curling Wand.

I love this curling wand. It's my favourite and I know a lot of other people love the Remington Wands. Over the last year I've enjoyed curling my hair and this Christmas I received a new bigger version of this wand! Can't wait to see if it's as good as this one :-)

Perfume

The Award for "Favourite Perfume Of The Year" Goes To....Just Cavalli By Roberto Cavalli

I seem to be a fan of most Roberto Cavalli Scents but this one really snuck up on me. When I first tried it I wasn't fussed but then I was given it as a gift and after wearing it for a few hours I grew to like it more and more. In fact this year it's become one of my most worn fragrances. It's unique, long lasting and exceptionally beautiful! I took it on holiday with me and it was surprisingly a great scent for both the night and day, it fit well on a beach and in a pub. What more could you need from a perfume?

So there you go, those are my top products of 2013!

What were yours?
