REVIEW - The Body Shop - Body Butter DUO - Vanilla

Hullo Ladies!

It's been awhile since I've reviewed a body butter from The Body Shop.

I've loved with them for a long time now and have grown a pretty big collection.

This is going to be a review on one of the Body Butter Duo's.

I own the Vanilla version, which I received for free with a purchase I made online back last year.

This is the only Duo body butter I've tried so I couldn't comment on the others in the range but I have to say I love the idea of them. You have one half of the butter that is for dry skin and one that is for normal (less dry) skin. So they're great if you find yourself having to use are range of different lotions for different areas of your body e.g. legs, elbows, arms.

The thicker butter is for dry skin and the lighter butter is for normal skin. I use the thicker version on my arms, elbows and knees. Then the lighter lotion for the rest of my body.

I really enjoy this body butter, I don't find the scent to strong or headache inducing.
It's sweet and fresh.

It's great for dry skin, really helps to soften elbows and knees.

The hydration lasts for at least 24 hours so I like to apply it every night before bed as it can take some time to sink into your skin.

This isn't one for rubbing on in the morning, getting dressed and running out the door. Due to it's deep moisturizing qualities I'd say it's best to be used at night before bed.

I really like this duo body butter and will be having a look at the rest of the line.

Like I said though, this did come free in an online order back last year so make sure you look out for those special deals the body shop like to do.

Have you tried any of the Duo Body Butters? What did you think of them?

Eau My Giddy God - The Body Shop - Vanilla

Hullo Lovely People!!

It's been some time since I wrote a "Eau My Giddy God" post, so I though I would do one for you all today
 :-)

I seem to be slowly collecting all The Body Shops fragrances, they now have the Strawberry perfume back out, though I have only seen it in one of their sets.

I've read about it before on the interweb but have never seen it on their website so I'm looking forward to trying it out!!!

This is their very popular Vanilla Eau De Toilette.

It's been a best seller for a long time now and I'm not surprised .

This is probably the sweetest fragrance I have ever smelt.

It's a true vanilla scent with notes of coconut.

I don't really pick up the Coconut notes as the Vanilla really takes over.

This is a great scent for those who love sweet fragrances and It's slightly more grown up than most sweeter scents on the market.

I wouldn't buy it for someone who I knew liked a more subtle fragrance as this is quite a strong scent, not over powering but it's going to last a long time on you, especially if sprayed onto clothing.

My mother hates me wearing it though as she's not a fan of anything with Vanilla in as it gives her a headache, which is one thing you should think about when purchasing as vanilla can be quite an offending scent to many people.

I only really like wearing it around the Holiday season as it reminds me of Christmas for some reason.

This product is priced at £9 for 30ml.

I picked  it up on sale for less than £5 which is really affordable if you think about the prices you pay for perfumes in places like Boot's or Superdrug.

The only thing about this product that irritates the hell out of me is the packaging, I love the sleek bottle but the cap is horrible. It's quite small and when you place it onto the bottle it scrapes against the metal and gives me goosebumps!!  I guess I can deal with it though :-)

The Body Shop frequently have offers on so have a look on voucher websites to see which is the best deal.

Have you tried any fragrances from The Body Shop??

REVIEW - Boots Natural Collection Body Spray's

Hey ladies, these are the Boots Natural Collection Body Sprays.

I have three of them, Wild Strawberry, Mango and Papaya and Vanilla.

These are great if your stuck for perfume and want a cheaper alternative.

I find them long lasting, around the same longevity as a eau de toilette,

They are all 150ml each and are £2  on the Boots website, They often have a "3 for2" offer on these which is also a plus :-)

Vanilla

This is a lovely sweet smell, with maybe a hint of coconut, It reminds me of The Body Shops vanilla Eau de toilette .

I have had a few good compliments with this fragrance the best one yet was off my brother "Why do you smell like cake?" bahahaha

Wild Strawberry

This one is probably my least favorite, like the Vanilla it's very sweet but  I'm not that big a fan of  most strawberry scents because I find they smell like child's medicine :-(

Mango and Papaya

This is my favorite out of the two, I'm a big fan of mango scents and this doesn't disappointing,  it's a very fresh and fruity smell and great for a hot summers day.

I really love these and plan to get more, they smell exactly how they are described and are super inexpensive

Some other scents you can get are:

Ice Musk
Passion fruit
Samphire and Sea Minerals
Apple and Lime *I really want this one*

Have you tried any of the Boots Nautral Collection Body Sprays? Love them or hate them? :-)

Thanks,

The Body Shop Body Butters

                                                                            Hello!

The Body Shop Body Butters are amazing to me, I've collected a few over the years, have smelt probably everyone they have made and these are soem of my favorites.

Satsuma Body Butter

This is my all time favorite smelling body butter, but its for normal skin so not the best for my-very-dry- and- in- need -of- top moisture- skin sadly but I still use it every chance I get :)

Sweet Lemon Body Butter

Nice but not sweet smelling enough for me I find it very sharp for my tastes but for some reason I love using it when I'm under the weather. Probably because It's the only thing I can smell that doesnt turn me ill.

Mango Body Butter

This is my second tub, I love the smell and find it really refreashing. It's for very dry skin which is great for me and i find that if I use it constantly for a few week's thats when my skin  is at its best. So I try to always have some at home :)

Almond Body Butter

This is one of my least Favorite smells, I had many fruity body butter and wanted something sweet but I bought this when It was on offer online with out actually smelling it. I also bought the Passion fruit, Brazil Nut and Blueberry that day and I disliked them all. Lucky I got them on sale because now my nan uses them for her feet!

Wild Cherry Body Butter

This is a nice smelling body butter but it's not one I would repurchase. It's for normal skin so not the best moisturiser for me but good when you want something a little bit different smelling.

Shea Body Butter

This is another I have gone through and bought again, It's great because it's extreamly moisturizing but also not too strongly fragranced so it messes with your perfume. This is one I wear out in the evening or when I'm going somewhere and I want someone to smell my perfume :) Also I got my two tubes of this for only £1 each when The body Shop had them on offer, if you spent a certain amount you could pick one out of three body butters for just a £1! Bargain!

Vanilla Body Butter

This is my newest Body Butter and I had it free with my last order from there online store, It was good luck because at the same time I was buying there Vanilla EDT, so I use this to layer the perfume to make the scent last longer. This is one of they're new Body Butters, they give you two seperate butters, one thats for dry skin and one thats for normal. Making it easier for you because your able to use the same moisturizer for your whole body.
