REVIEW - Bobbi Brown Long Wear Gel Eyeliner - Black Ink

Hullo Lovely Ladies!

Back when I first started blogging in March I made a collection post about my Gel Eyeliners, featuring Bobbi Browns Black Ink.

There are a few reasons why I want to talk about it again today, one of them being that It's such a great product it needs to be spoken about more often and also that the first time I talked about it was only a collection post where it was mentioned briefly.

I bought a Bobbi Brown set from QVC around Halloween last year, In it I received two Long Wear Gel Eyeliners, a mascara and a Ultra Fine Eye Liner brush.

One of the Long Wear Eyeliners was Black Ink, It's an extremely pigmented black and goes on lovely and smooth.

The best thing about it? It lasts forever!

Even though I have dry skin on my face, my eye lids can be quite oily so most of the time my eye products would last me a few hours at best but this can last at least 24hrs.

GASP! I know...I'm a terrible person, sometimes I go to bed forgetting to take my make up off!!

Usually this is because I'm either too tired or too drunk to remember hehehe...come one....we've all done it :-)

So here is a thick and thin swatch of Black Ink, It's quite a dark shade so I usually only wear it on a night out. I used up a lot on Halloween as I drew a web and some spiders on my face with this because I knew it would last for ages.

Recently a friend and I where going to a party and she asked me to do her eyeliner for her, I tried using her Maybeline Gel Eyeliner and couldn't believe how hard it was to use, it went on far too wet for me , it smudged everywhere and didn't last nearly s long as I thought.

So I think that means Bobbi Brown has officially ruined me for any other gel eyeliner, I have never had to keep my eyes closed to wait for it to dry or smudged it so badly I had to start all over again.

If asked I would say this is worth every penny it costs.

I bought my set from here and it set me back £33.50 plus P+P but all the products separately would have cost me much more.

Hope you have all had a great day, it's been raining non stop here but I guess that's what Wales is known for :-)

REVIEW - Nails Inc 3 Piece Black Crackle Collection

 Hello Ladies,

This is a review of a set of Nails Inc nail polishes I bough from QVC last year. Its a crackle set, with two normal colours and a crackle colour.

This is a lovely set that can be worn for either a special occasion or casual wear.

"Old Queen Street"
This is a lovely colour to wear on your own if your brave, for me it's quite hard to pull off and due to my shaky hands It ends up going everywhere.
I love the way the black crackle looks with this colour. It's quite elegent and can be used for both a night out or everyday wear.

"Cambridge Terrace"
I love this colour, it's one of my favorites out of my whole nail polish collection. Recently I have worn it on just two nails and put a lovely bright pink on the remaining nails.

Sorry for the chipped nails, I took the picture just before I repainted my nails instead of after :(

"Camden Crackle Topcoat"

This is a great crackle that looks amazing on all the colours I've painted it over. It dries down matt but if you want it glossy just add a top coat. This is the only crackle polish I have tried. I might pick up the Barry M ones or the Models Own to see if there is any difference.

Nails Inc polishes can be quite expensive but I really want some then I buy from QVC so you get more for your money :)

What crackles do you like to use and what colours to you put with them?

Thanks, Linzi xx

Laura Geller 5 Piece Bake Sale Beauty Collection

Laura Gellers Bake Sale Set

Hey Everyone,

Laura Geller was one of the first brands I started using back last year when I started to get interested in make up. My Nan had been using her products for years through QVC so I decided to give her a go. I recieved My first Laura Geller products for christmas that year and I was amazed, The holy Grail product for me was her Balance and Brighten, Its a foundation that is made in Italy and It just makes your make up look so smooth and natural. Although back then her lightest foundation was in Fair and whilst good in the summer didn't quite match my skin colour in the winter. Then recently I heard she had brought out a new shade in Porcelain so I decided to buy some more of her products and this is the set I bought.

What you get :

Spackle Tinted Primer in Champagne (59g)

Spakle is a very popular product from the Laura Geller brand and I can see why. I have there normal spackle also which is just clear based and both really good primers. This is the Champagne one and I dont think you can see it but it has tiny golden shimmers that give your skin just enough glow without looking like you have stuck glitter chunks to your face.

Balance-n-Brighten - available in Porcelain, Fair, Medium or Tan (9g) -

In Porcelain

This is a great foundation but sometimes I don't find it gives me enough coverage so I do like to use a different foundation and then use this like a finishing powder. I love how natural this makes my skin look.

Baked Eye Pie Shadow Trio in Birthday Cake (7.5g)

In  Chocolate, Mocha and Creamy Strawberry

This is a great trio of colours, they can be quite subtle if you want them to be by using them dry or if you want a stronger look, use them wet. That's what is great about the Laura Geller products, they where first a mouse and can be used both wet or dry without ruining the products.

Blush-n-Brighten Baked Cheek Colour in Pink Buttercream (9g) -

In Pink Buttercream

This colour is lovely but it is a bit to dark for my pale skin so when I do use it, it is with a very light hand.

Italian Marble Lipstick in Strawberry Toffee (3.4g)

In Strawberry Toffee

This is a lovely lipstick, it's so smoth and hydrating. A very nice everyday pink colour.

So thats The Bake Sale set, I think Its lovely, the products are all in great sizes and you get a lot if quality make up for your pennies. :)

Thanks, Linzi xx
