REVIEW - Bobbi Brown Long Wear Gel Eyeliner - Black Ink

Hullo Lovely Ladies!

Back when I first started blogging in March I made a collection post about my Gel Eyeliners, featuring Bobbi Browns Black Ink.

There are a few reasons why I want to talk about it again today, one of them being that It's such a great product it needs to be spoken about more often and also that the first time I talked about it was only a collection post where it was mentioned briefly.

I bought a Bobbi Brown set from QVC around Halloween last year, In it I received two Long Wear Gel Eyeliners, a mascara and a Ultra Fine Eye Liner brush.

One of the Long Wear Eyeliners was Black Ink, It's an extremely pigmented black and goes on lovely and smooth.

The best thing about it? It lasts forever!

Even though I have dry skin on my face, my eye lids can be quite oily so most of the time my eye products would last me a few hours at best but this can last at least 24hrs.

GASP! I know...I'm a terrible person, sometimes I go to bed forgetting to take my make up off!!

Usually this is because I'm either too tired or too drunk to remember hehehe...come one....we've all done it :-)

So here is a thick and thin swatch of Black Ink, It's quite a dark shade so I usually only wear it on a night out. I used up a lot on Halloween as I drew a web and some spiders on my face with this because I knew it would last for ages.

Recently a friend and I where going to a party and she asked me to do her eyeliner for her, I tried using her Maybeline Gel Eyeliner and couldn't believe how hard it was to use, it went on far too wet for me , it smudged everywhere and didn't last nearly s long as I thought.

So I think that means Bobbi Brown has officially ruined me for any other gel eyeliner, I have never had to keep my eyes closed to wait for it to dry or smudged it so badly I had to start all over again.

If asked I would say this is worth every penny it costs.

I bought my set from here and it set me back £33.50 plus P+P but all the products separately would have cost me much more.

Hope you have all had a great day, it's been raining non stop here but I guess that's what Wales is known for :-)

  2. I've got the Rimmel gel liner at the moment and I'm really looking to upgrade. I was in love with it at the beginning and now I'm noticing the flaws in it, its too wet, takes too long to dry etc. I had my heart set on the Lancome gel liner but I've heard such good things about this one too... Dilemma!

  3. I've never tried bobby brown products. I definitely need to. The liner sounds fab, I always smudge my eye liner when I put it on.

  5. I have never tried anything Bobbi Brown, but I know that I have tried the Maybelline kind and I can agree with you about it sucking so much.

Right now I use Revlon Colorstay gel eyeliner, and for me it seems to go on like yours and stay forever, but I'm sure bobbi brown is still better lol

I'm really wanting to try some idiot proof liquid liner, if there is such a thing lol
