Colourful Matte NOTD

Hullo lovely Ladies!

The most embarrassing thing happened to me this morning, I went to superdrug to pick up Beauty UK's Matte Top Coat that I have been really wanting and of course I couldn't keep myself away from the Barry M stand. Now maybe it's because of this lush sunny day but I really wanted some bright juicy colours and I picked up Block Orange which I havn't heard a lot about. 

Then some how it dropped from my hands and smashed all over the floor in Superdrug! Can you imagine it? I was mortified, It wasn't like it was a clear polish or even something subdued but a bright orange, It went everywhere all over the floor and on my foot!  A lovely lady from the front of the shop came to help me and started cleaning it up, I must have said sorry about eight times before I left. 

What really made me angry though was a bunch of fifteen year old girls where getting served in front of my and all they where going on about was "Ohh My god! Can you smell nail polish?" and then came that irritating giggling. I wish now that I had mentioned something snarky about the four shades too dark foundation the were wearing but that's life I guess, I only manage to think of something to say to someone once the situations is over :-( 

Right embarrassing story over! On to the good stuff :-) 

So I actually did get the Block Orange and also this Yellow Ice Cream.

A lot of people seem to have a problem with this colour, I guess it is harder to work with than most Barry M polishes but it's so lovely that I will put of with having to put four coats on instead of just two. 

I took a picture for you to see what the yellow looks like with and without a matte top coat.

I think it looks amazing as a matte polish :-) 

I also used Barry M's Blueberry Ice Cream Nail Paint and dotted with your normal everyday cotton swab.

I really like how it turned out, colourful and fun!

Barry M Nail Paints

Hullo Ladies,

I have added a few new Barry M Nail Paints to my polish collection today which I bought from Superdrug.

From L- R Strawberry Ice Cream, Blueberry Ice Cream and Copper.

Blueberry Ice Cream is a lovely light blue, I love blue colour but realised last night that most of the blues in my collection are dark and I only had one light blue, which was a shimmer, this caught my eye this morning and I picked it up straight away :)

Strawberry Ice Cream is a light pink that is quite sheer on the first coat giving you a natural french nail but on the second coat it becomes more opaque and like the colour in the bottle.

It looks like Barry M has brought out a few new shades too and this is one of them :) I love it, you can layer it to have the same colour pay off that is in the bottle or you can use it sparingly as a top coat over another colour or bare nail to just add a bit of shimmer.

So this is my Barry M Nail Paint Collection so far.

From L - R Berry Ice Cream, Peach Melba, Strawberry Ice Cream, Blueberry Ice Cream, Cyan Blue and Copper.

I love the formula of the Barry M nail polishes. I have tried higher end brands and some of them are not nearly as good as these polishes. For just £2.99 it's an inexpensive way to have gorgeous nails :)
