My Summer Top 5 Series - Nail Polishes

Hi Ladies,

I'm continuing my Summer Top 5 series with Nail Polishes!

Not Surprising that all five are from my two favourite nail polish brands - Nails Inc and Barry M !

Nails Inc - New Burlington Place , Barry M - Blue Grape, Nails Inc - Portobello, Barry M -Shocking Pink and Barry M - Copper.

Nails Inc New Burlington Place  - Opaque Rose Gold Shimmer  -  No Topcoat
Barry M Blue Grape - Bright Cobalt Blue - No Top Coat
Nails Inc Portobello - Neon Orange Matte Polish - Top Coat
Barry M Shocking Pink - Bright Blue Toned Pink - No Topcoat
Barry M Copper - Opaque Copper Shimmer Polish - No Topcoat

I love wearing a shimmer polish in the Summer, I know a lot of people usually wear them in the Winter which I do also, but I think Shimmers are just so much prettier in sun light.

I'm wearing Shocking Pink today and it's just so easy to put on! It's a full coverage polish which means you only really need one coat. ONE COAT!! Thank you Barry M!

Blue Grape is my first Hi Shine Polish from Barry M but I'm desperate for more. I love the look of Mango, Papaya and Greenberry.

What are your favourite Summer Nail Polishes?

January 2013 Favourites

Hey Lovely Ladies!

January went quicker that I expected it too, I've had a lot of thing to do this month so maybe that's why. I've also found some amazing new products and also found a few that I had forgotten about!

First up is the Tresemme Salon Finish Iron Hold Hairspray that I bought just before Christmas. I've been using my new curling wand this month and this has helped me keep those gorgeous curls for longer.  Staying with hair products...I've also been using the Aussie Take The Heat Leave In Spray which help's protect the hair from heat damage as well as helping it to look "Mirror Smooth" I really love it!

The nail polishes I've been wearing frequently this month is Barry M Raspberry, which is a gorgeous deep red, and Nicole By OPI's NICOLE'S NICKEL, which is a gun metal full coverage glitter polish.

Makeup wise I've been using my MAC Festive Face Palette, which I received back last year, from the eye shadows the colours I love to use are Phloof!, Dance In The Dark and Brun. I also love using the blush Mocha. My favourite concealer this month is the Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection Concealer. My Favourite makeup tool of the month is the Real Techniques Buffing Brush. It's great brush for applying Foundation and I'm going to be reviewing it soon....right after I wash it! Hehehe.

This winter due to the cold weather my dry skin has taken a real beating, I rummaged through all my body lotions *there's a lot* and picked up the Mango Body Butter by The Body Shop that I hadn't used since the Summer. I remember how much I had loved it in the summer so decided to see if it could help! It sure did, I even used it on my face as my skin was getting so bad! It worked brilliantly.

The perfumes I've been using constantly this January are Armani Code, It's a signature scent for me, and Soap and Glory Glam-A-Lot Body Spray, I picked this in a set earlier this month and absolutely love it!

So that's everything I've been loving this month!

What have you been loving?

Nail Polish Collection - Part 2 - Barry M

Hullo Lovely Ladies!!

To me Barry M is the best low end/drugstore nail polish brand out there, their formula is wonderful and they have a great range of colours to suit everyone. Also they're very inexpensive.

"Top Row L-R - Matt White, Berry Ice Cream, Lemon Ice Cream, Blue Moon, Blueberry Ice Cream, Cyan Blue and Spring Green"

"Bottom Row L-R - Raspberry, Shocking Pink, Block Orange, Coral, Pink Flamingo, Peach Melba and Strawberry Ice Cream"

"Top Row L - R - Black, Multi Glitter Black, Vivid Purple and Indigo"

"Bottom Row L - R - Copper, Black Red, Dusky Mauve and Teal"

So I have 22 here but I forgot to take a photo of Fuchsia but to be honest its nearly an exact dupe of Shocking pink. I also have the 3 in 1 Clear polish but I kept that for my base coats and top coats collection.

May favourite Barry M colour would have to be Cyan Blue, It so shockingly bright on the nails.

They have a lot of new colours out now that I really want to try, so I will probably be getting more in the not so distant future!

Whats your favourite Barry M Nail Paint???

Hope you are all having a great weekend!

Superdrug and Tk Maxx Haul :-)

Hullo Lovely Ladies!

It's my Mams Birthday Monday so me and my Dad took her shopping today for her presents, she picked out a lovely Denim Jacket and a new handbag, I also bought her a new perfume as shes running out sadly I forgot to photograph it, It's a Britney I know she likes.

Of course I couldn't walk into Tk maxx without picking something up! :-0

My Dad picked me up these, he knows that they are my favourite sweets and all though you take the chance of eating a liquorice flavoured bean, it's worth it! :-)

These cost £3.59

I picked up some more Nails Inc because as you know they're my latest addiction ;-)

Sadly my Lucky Dip hasn't arrived yet which I'm a bit angry about, it's been over a week now!

"Marble Arch, Reeves Mews, Park Walk, West Hampstead, Carlton Gardens, Keats Grove and Oakley Street"

I'm in love with this set, at first when I spotted them weeks ago, I wasn't fussed but seeing them on a few blog posts I really fancied some of the colours :-)  I can't wait to try Marble Arch, Reeves Mews and West Hampstead!

I recently ran out of make up wipes so we stopped in superdrug and I picked up the Superdrug own facial cleansing wipes with Camomile, they are just 99p which I thought was a bargain! I've tried them already and I really like them so far :-)

Next I picked up another Barry M *Tut Tut* In Red Black which is supposed to be a dupe for Chanel's Rouge Noir.

Then when paying I spotted a clearance box full of make up, I picked up this miss sporty nail polish. Sadly I can't find the name but its a very pretty sheer blue.

Then I picked up this Rimmel London Eye Shadow duo in Walnut Pearls.

Whilst looking the sales lady told me that they where also on "3 for 2"

I know what your thinking..."Oh My Goodness, This can't get better!"

Well yes it can!

Yes that's right in the clearance box I found this Lancome Juicy Tube in cerise, I asked them twice if they where sure that this was included in the clearance sale and they said yes! When she tried scanning it, it wouldn't go through. She said that it must have come free with a product and did I still want it! My answer.....YES!

So I got a free Lancome Juicy Tube.

Obviously this was probably a one off but I would definitely check your local Superdrug if I was you, never know what you may find! :-)

Hope your all having a great weekend!

Summer Nail Polish Tag! :-)

Hullo Beautiful Ladies!

So every year around this time I see a lot of Summer Nail Polish Tag's....Which I love because I'm rather nosy and love to see what everyone's wearing! :-P

So I have decided to do one of my own, even though I wasn't tagged hehehe :-)

I started with Ten but then added another one that I really couldn't leave out!

Some of them I haven't got swatches of yet but They're on my list of things to do so don't worry!

From Left - Right "China Glaze For Audrey, Barry M Shocking Pink, Barry M Coral, Barry M Block Orange, Barry M Cyan Blue, Barry M Indigo, Color Club Sugar Plum Fairy, Nails Inc Bennet Street, OPI Cajun Shrimp, OPI Strawberry Margurita"

This is my only China Glaze polish and I'm so glad I picked it, it's a tribute to the gorgeous Audrey Hepburn and is based on that lovely Tiffany Blue colour :-)
Its a very elegant robin egg blue.

Barry M Shocking pink is a beautiful colour to wear on days you want to be like a barbie doll, to me its the polish you dreamed of wearing when you were six years old hehe :-P

Barry M's Coral is a very flattering colour with just a hint more orange too it than most of my other coral nail polishes, which makes it very unique in my eyes!

Barry M Block Orange, one of my most recent Barry M buys and boy do I love it!
It's a juicy, vibrant orange that is opaque in just three quick coats.
It's a polish that I have been wearing a lot in the last two weeks whilst the sun has been out!

Barry M Cyan Blue, this is the only picture I have with it on my nails and was taken with a flash but it really is very vibrant in natural light, probably my favourite blue from the Barry M line, It's very opaque in just two coats and when I wear it I frequently get asked where I got it and what's it called.

Barry M Indigo is one that I would wear on a night out in the summer or when I want something classy and dark. It's a beautiful polish and I don't think its talked about enough! I love it!

Color Club Sugar Plum Fairy is a holigraphic polish and is very opaque, I wore this on a sunny day once and couldn't stop looking at my nails!

Nails Inc Bennet Street is my favourite red to wear in the summer, it's very glossy and flattering.

OPI's Cajun Shrimp is a lovely coral that I love to wear on my toes! Great in the summer with some lovely sandles!

OPI's Strawberry Margurits is a beautiful pink that I love on both my hands and toes It's a great universal pink that would look flattering on anybody!

One that I have purchased recently and isn't in the group photos is Nails Inc Baker Street.

I'm really loving this colour right now! It's such a pretty blue :-)

Okay so that was my top summer Nail Polishes and although I'm the type of person that wears all sorts of polish no matter what season it is, I do believe that we gravitate to certain colours at certain times and these are just some I have been in love with lately!

I tag anyone and everyone! If you want to do it then go ahead, I had a great time!

Whats your favourite summer nail colour?

Thanks, Linzi xx

My May Favourites

Hullo Lovely Ladies!

These are some the products I have been using continuously in May!

I have been loving this Born Lippy Strawberry Lip Balm from The Body Shop, It smells amazing and really moisturizes my lips :-)

Also from The Body Shop is the Coconut Body Butter which I was drawn too whilst we have been having this lovely sunny whether.
I've also been using the Coconut Body Scrub but forgot to photograph it!

China Glaze For Audrey is the most elegant and beautiful polish I own, I might buy a back up soon...that's how much I'm loving it hehehe

Another polish I have worn a lot is this Barry M Block Orange Nail Paint. This is a real pop of juicy colour
 :-)

This is Ed Hardy Original Women or as some people like to call it "Love..Kills... Slowly"

No matter what you call it, it gorgeous!
Very fresh and fruity!

I have been taking these Vitamin C tablets lately, they're to help with your body's defense system but I have really noticed a difference in my nails, they seem a lot stronger! They're tasty too!

These are just some inexpensive ones I bought from ASDA months ago :-)

It's been too hot lately to wear a lot heavy foundation so instead I've been using this Garnier BB Cream!

I'm thinking of doing a review on this soon :-)

I've had a few bottles of this, this one came in a mini set with the body butter and scrub!

It's a lovely true coconut scent, great for the summer!

This is MAC's Amplified Cream lipstick in Girl About Town which is a very popular colour!

I love wearing this with just the BB Cream and some eyeliner and mascara! :-)

Hope you have all had a great month! Whats been your favourite products?

Thanks, Linzi xxx

Cute Flower Manicure

Hey beautiful people!

I did some nail art last night whilst watching the Eurovision *I know..Okay* Don't judge me!

Here it is :-)

I love how pretty and cute it is!

Here's what inspired me, I love the pastel blue with pink flowers.

I have seen this pattern a lot lately.

This is my nail polish box that I bought from TKMAXX for £3.99 :-)

For the Base colour I used Barry M Blue Moon which took four coats to become opaque and even.

I don't mind layering my polish because painting my nails is something that calms and relaxes me so I really love this colour.
If you hate layering polish then this one isn't for you as it's very sheer.

"Seche Vite top coat, Barry M Matt White, Barry M Pink Flamingo, Barry M white Blue Moon, Barry M Spring Green."

For the accent finger I used my new dotting tools, first making two small flowers with Pink Flamingo and and Matt White, then the Spring Green for the leaves.
Then after waiting some time for it to dry I used my Seche Vite Fast Dry Top Coat.

I really love this mani, although when asking my mam what she thought she said "are they rainbows" I'm putting that down to her not wearing her glasses though....do you think they look like flowers or rainbows?  hehe

Hope you all had a great weekend!

Thanks, Linzi xxx

Mini Haul - NOTD - Barry M

Hullo Ladies :-)

I had a few things in the post today and also created a new Manicure! It's not brilliant but its good for me and my limited artistic skills :-P

I know what your thinking ..."Linz...why the hell did you get THREE bottles of Seche Vite???"

Well there's an explanation for that! QVC do this great trio set for just £18 something which I thought was brilliant and they're bound to last me a long time!

The only thing I might have to buy is that RESTORE thing you can get to thin it out, so It doesn't get gloppy!

I also bought these dotting tools from Amazon which I used for my NOTD!

Onto the NOTD!

"Barry M Back, Barry M Shocking Pink, Barry M Block Orange, Barry M Lemon Ice Cream, Barry M Spring Green, Barry M Cyan Blue, Barry M Matt White"

I used all these Barry M Nail Paints, I needed great pigmentation and I knew I would get it with these!

They're Bows! In case you couldn't recognize them hehe

Half way through the adventurous part of me was like "Ohh if we just add little antenna's on their heads they could be Butterflies!" and the sane side of me was like "WHAT? No! Don't be insane you're not that good! Who told you that you could step outside of the box misses!"

Sorry for that little look into my psyche! :-P

Hope you have all had a great day!

Thanks, Linzi xx
