REVIEW - Max Factor - CC Cream

Hullo Ladies!

First Review of July :-)

This post is about the Max Factor CC Cream that was in my June Favourites.

I don't have much information on CC creams but I know that cc stands for colour correcting.

I picked this up a few months ago when it was on an introductory offer in Superdrug.

Around the time L'oreal where advertising their new CC creams in magazines and I tested one out on my hand and was super disappointed that they were orange! Literally...Oompa Loompa orange! Me and my mam had a little giggle about it.

So when testing it out I wasn't expecting much, I was delightfully surprised at how great it looked. The colour match was great and the texture was quite thick and mousse like, which made me think that it would give slightly more coverage than other cc creams.

When I brought it home I tried it on and at first was slightly disappointed with the coverage but then I put on a second layer and I loved how it looked. Testing the product out fully I decided to put on a third layer to see if it caked and was happy to see it kept it's natural look and just gained more and more coverage the more I worked it.

It has a matte finish but doesn't stick to my dry patches!

Not long after I bought it I read in a magazine that it was one of their favourite drugstore CC creams due to the great coverage :-)

Colour Correcting - It evens out my redness but doesn't cover up spots or dark under eyes. It gives you a light to medium coverage depending on how many layers you apply.

It has a nice fresh smell and doesn't break out my sensitive skin.

I love this product and would definitely repurchase it.

The packaging is sleek and impressive and if you're a pale skinned gal who has trouble finding a great colour match then I suggest trying out the shade 40 fair which is what I use :-)

Here's the link!

Have you tried a CC cream?

June Favourites 2013

Hullo Ladies!

It's that time again, so I'm gonna show you some of the products I've been loving lately :-)

Neutrogena Visibly Clear 2 in 1 wash and mask - I've used this for years and still love it. It's great to use as a mask for those stubborn spots and to use as a daily wash to keep your skin clear.

Max Factor CC Cream - I bought this when It came out, I'd just tried one of the L'oreal ones and hated them but after testing this out in store it looked wonderful. I loved how it felt when I swatched it on my hand and the colour was a great match. It's basically something in between a BB cream and a foundation. The coverage is great and whats amazing is that you can layer it as much as you want and it wont get cakey.

Barry M Nail Paints in Shocking Pink and Blue Grape - I love the Barry M polishes and these two have to be some of my favourites from my collection. They are super bright, pigmented,  fast drying and stay chip free for days. What more can you ask?

Bourjois Rouge Edition Lipstick in Fraige Remix - A great coral colour that I can actually wear. Corals don't look great on my super pale skin but this is a very flattering shade. I'm in love with it. The Rouge Edition lipsticks are great quality and I definitely want to pick up more.

MUA Blushes - I'm in loves we these! They're just £1 and they are beautiful! Pigmented, smooth and long lasting. I want them all :-)

Roberto Cavalli - Just Cavalli EDP - I was gifted this by my mother and at first I wasn't that big a fan but I've been wearing it more and more in the last month and It's become a favourite. Grown up and sexy. Perfect for a night out!

Those are my favourites, what are yours?

The "Yeah...I Have A slight Problem" Haul - MUA, Max Factor, Maybelline!

Hullo Lovely Ladies!

I did some shopping this week and picked up a few things...yes I have a problem....although I do feel better as most of these were on offer!

In the post today I received a sample booklet from Garnier with a few sachets of their Moisture Match range. You can order your free samples on their website!

I caved and bought the other Maybelline Vivid Lipsticks that I wanted in Electric Orange and Shocking Coral  £7.19 each. The only one, out of the 5 released in the uk, that I don't own now is Hot Plum. Apparently it's a lot like Show Orchid from MAC, which I own, so I'm not that upset :-)

I decided to try these MUA Cream Blushes in Dolly and Bittersweet and for £1 each you can't say no. I've looked on some blogs since I bought them though and all of them say they purchased theirs for £2. Somehow my store was selling them for just £1. I have had a lot of problems with my local store though, they always forget to change the offers and hardly ever re-stock products. Maybe It was just another error on their behalf.

I picked up a few new face products, I seem to have a new obsession :/

I choose the MUA Undress Your Skin Illuminating Foundation whilst it was still on offer for £3 and I also picked up the Max Factor CC Cream as it was on offer for £7.99.

I'll be reviewing all these products at some point :-)

Hope You All Have A Great Weekend!

Recent Hauls and Bargains!

Hullo Gorgeous Ladies!!

So the last few days I've done a bit of shopping...nothing unusual :-)
I thought I would just show you what I picked up!

So I went into TK Maxx yesterday and I want a round of applause as I stuck to my promise and didn't pick up any Nails Inc!!! Yay! Did pick up some make up though .....Teheheh

They had a few sets for £7.99 that had a bunch of different brands, I picked up the Bourjois and UNE bag, it consisted of two Bourjois eyeshadow pots and one UNE Lipstick.

I've seen UNE in Boots a bunch of times but have never picked anything up as they seem quite expensive so it was lovely to be able to try out one of they're products for a great price.

After TK Maxx I stopped into Outfit which is a store that consits of many different brands, stopping at the Topshop part I noticed they had a sale on some of they're accessories .

The bracelet I had noticed on a blog post on the weekend and fell in love with, so I was really happy to find it!

As soon as I saw this ring I had to have it! It's so cute, reminds me of the cat from Alice in Wonderland, the  original, haven't seen the newest one yet :-(

Then today me and my mam went food shopping, which I hate doing by the way, I get so stressed out!

I noticed that they had further reductions on some of the N-SPA products and managed to pick up the Apple Mint Crunch Scrub for just 50p, It smells amazingly refreshing!

I recently finished my bottle of the Gingerbread Latte Bath Syrup and noticed that it was down to just £1 so I picked another bottle up as you may know It's a favourite of mine :-)

Lately I tried out the Palmers Cocoa Butter in a sample from a magazine and loved the smell, I've been looking everywhere for it but Boot's are charging £5.30 and I wasn't willing to pay as I was sure I'd seen it cheaper some where else, I picked it up in Asda for just £2.

On our way home from shopping my Mam decided to stop for some Bomb Cosmetics soap for my Dad, he loves it, I noticed that they had a sale so I picked up some stuff for myself :-)

I picked up some bath products, I couldn't see their names anywhere sorry as I found them in the little sale basket! They're so cute though!

I also picked up some Rycycled Exfoliation Gloves and a cute little heart on a string that's going in my bedroom :-)

Next we stopped in Superdrug because I really need to re-dye me hair! I want it to be a nice light Auburn colour so I picked a box up that was similar to what I wanted and then because they were 2 for £8.99 deal I picked up a darker red just  in case the light colour doesn't stick.

I'm still a bit faint over the next products I picked up!!

Yes...I'm hearing you gasp, I did too...that lovely yellow sticker! The one that tells us "Yes, you can have me...for cheaper than you thought." Why not buy 2 eh?? Maybe I did ;-) but that's for another day!

A Barry M Get The Look box for just 10p!

Inside the box are two Dazzle Dusts and a glitter eyeliner.

There's something magical when you find makeup and cosmetics on clearance. Even the shop assistant agreed, It really couldn't get better until I asked her about an ugly purple bag sitting in the clearance box...

She didn't know herself at first so we had a little look inside and found these amazing goodies, as soon as I saw the words "Max Factor" I knew the ugly little bag had to be mine...why???

It was down to 50p!!!!!

That's right so inside the little bag was a Max Factor Lip Gloss, Nail Polish and Mini Eyeliner.
A sachet of Aussie's 3 Minute Miracle Colour.
A mini hair brush, Nail file and Toe Separator.

I was excited to see the Aussie Sachet as I love their shampoo's and conditioner's, I think they have the best smelling hair products ever!

So that's my haul! I didn't realize how much I bought :-o

I'm off to dye my hair now!

Hope you've all had a great day.

NOTD - Max Factor Fantasy Fire- Barry M Vivid purple

Hullo!
I was lucky enough to pick up a botte of Max Factor nail polish in Fantasy Fire yesterday in my local superdrug. They have £1 off some Max Factor nail polishes at the moment and Fantasy Fire was included.

Fantasy Fire is a purple duochrome colour. It is extremely eye catching and unusual.

I know its a bit blurry but I think It really shows the red that comes out in the polish.

How pretty is that? I have a feeling I will be puting Fantasy Fire over everything before long. In certain light I see green glitter and in others a lovely red and gold.

It's a very popular colour at the moment and I can see why.

On its own its very sheer and before long you have applied four coats and you still wont get the true colour of the bottle so I find its best to use this over other polishes. Like I have done with Barry M's Vivid Purple, which is also a polish I bought yesterday along with Fuchsia.

Have you tried Fantasy Fire? Love it? or hate it?
