Boots and Superdrug Haul

     

            Hey Everyone,

I stopped in Boots and Superdrug today whilst going into town to get bread. Any excuse eh? ;)


First I went to Boots and picked up the 17 Lip Stain in Cherry Berry, which I have been wanting to try for some time now. Its a lovely red colour.

I was not fussed on getting anything else so I went to the counter to pay for the lip stain and found a clearance basket with a few nail polishes, there was this colour and a gold. I have loads of different gold nail polishes so I decided on this nail polish.

When I took this 17 nail polish to the counter the woman there said that I could still get the "3 for 2" deal so I went back and picked out this polish from Natural Collection.

It's a lovely light pink with a lot of silver shimmer.

Next I went to Superdrug and the first thing I saw was that this St Ives facial scrub was half price. Just £1.97. It's for blemish fighting. Ive nerver tried St Ives before so it will be interesting to see how it holds up to my usual Soap and Glory Scrub Your Nose In It.

Next I spent a good half hour looking for some nail polishes for spring :)

REVIEW - Maybelline Nail Polish in Mermaid Blue

Maybellines Mermaid Blue Nail polish is a bright metalic blue, It gives an amazing effect to the nails that is very eye-catching. Everytime I have worn it I've gotten compliments on how interesting it is. Blue nail  polishes are my favorite right now, light blue, dark blue. It doesnt matter, I love them all.

There are many nail polishes like this out there, I think nearly every brand I looked at in Superdrug the other day had an equivalent to it. The day I bought this I was looking at the GOSH nail polish in Ocean but I found this to be an amazingly close match to it and this was cheaper and because I'm still saving for that laptop this seemed more like the sensible buy.

I love the packaging, when I picked it up my mams verdict was that it looked "funky" so there you go, how could I not buy it? :)

One coat held up well but I applied two just for luck, It lasted a good two days on me without a top coat before it started chipping.

This is the type of nail polish that I wouldn't mind wearing during the day or on a night out. I think It's very adaptable and would look lovely with a nice sun dress or even some skinny jeans and a t-shirt.

My Favorite MAC Lipsticks

                                        
        Hello Ladies, these are my favorite MAC lipsticks.

From L-R. Creme Cup, Hue, Girl About Town, Violetta, M.A.C RED, Show Orchid and Viva Glam Gaga,

This is a lovely blue toned light pink, great for the spring and summer. As it's part of the Viva Glam Collection all proceds got to MAC's Aids Fund. This is a Lustre formulation and gives a nice glossy look to the lips.

This is a lipstick that I recieved in MAC's Wild Colour Collection, it's not a permenant MAC Lipstick but is a Pro Product. It's a Amplified so it goes on lovely and smooth and is blue toned so it makes your teeth look lovely and white.

This is my only red lipstick and I love it, It was one of the first MAC lipsticks I ever bought. Its a great blue based red and I think looks lovely against my pale skin but I can't see it not working for any skin tone as I find its quite a traditional red. Even though it's a Satin, I don't find it too drying on my lips that I need a balm under it.

Violetta is another lipstick that I bought from the Wild Colour Collection and is a Pro product. I love wearing it if I want to make a statement. It's an amplified and has great pigmentation and lasts a long lime on the lips.

Girl about Town is a great lipstick that a lot of people love, its a popular bright lipstick that looks amazing with a subtle eye look. I like to wear it with my fountation, some winged eyeliner and mascara. Its amplified so gives great pigmentation whilst going on smooth.

This is Hue from MAC and looks lovely on the lips with a smokey eye. Even though it's a glaze this does show my dry skin on my lips so I like to use a lip balm underneath. This tube has been battered as I like to keep it in my handbag, you can see that the name has totally rubbed off, which can sometimes happen to MAC products.

This was my first Mac lipstick and is still my all time favorite, this is my second tube and I think I will always repurchase. I had some trouble finding a nude lipstick because i'm so pale but I love the way this looks on my lips given me a nude look without making me look dead because of it's pink undertones.

MAC Lipsticks I want to try is Milan Mode and Saint Germain. They both looked so pretty when I saw them Christmas time in Debenhams.

My March Favorites

Happy April Fools day everyone!

Its the first of April today so Im writing a post on all the things I loved in March.

Viva Glam Gaga is a bright blue toned pink. Its a lovely colour for spring and is a lustre fomulation which means its very glossy on this lips. Sadly this one melted in my bag a few months back but Im still trying hard to use it. 

The suns been great these last couple of weeks for so early in the spring, hopefully it means we will  have a hot summer this year. I've been wearing this everyday since the suns been out and im loving it. This is a great body butter for all skin types, It has a very exoctic pure coconut smell.

Bobbi Browns Long Wear Gel Eyeliner In Espresso Ink. This is my favorite eye liner and I have not just been wearing this all of last month but nearly all year and I'll be buying another when I run out. It such a smooth and pigmented colour to use and lasts all day.

Bobbi Brown Extreme Party Mascara in black, I recieved this in a set with two Bobbi Brown eye liners and a Ultra Fine eyeliner brush. Its a great mascara that gives you length and volume with out the clumps.

Mermaid Blue

This is a lovely bright metalic blue from Maybeline.  

This is a NYC nail polish called Light -Camera - Glitter. I only bought it last week but It hasnt been off my nails since. I love it. It looks amazing over any colour :)

This is a mini bottle of OPI's Cajun Shrimp. I recieved it in a set from QVC. Its great for spring and summer. I love it on my toes :)

This is Love Etc, by The Body Shop. Its a really nice pretty scent that is not too imature. I bought it in a set in the sales. It came with a 200ml body wash and cost just £6. It's a lovely smelling perfume for the price. Ive been wearing nearly every day since I bought it.

This is a body spray from Boots' Natural Collection in Mango and Papaya. It's only £2 and is lovely and refreshing.

This last month I have been using Urban Decays Naked Pallete on my eyes a lot. Its great for a nice subtle eye and a bright lip.

I have been using Laura Geller Spackle Primer in Champayne this month, under my foundation, It gives a lovely glow to my skin and helps with any dry patches.

Carrot Moisture Cream from The Body Shop, great for a face cream and inexpensive at £4.

This is a small Lancome lip gloss that I recieved last christmas with a perfume set that included a mascara and eye shadow. Sadly it doesnt have a name written on it,  Its a light pink with lots a shimmer.

 

This is The Body Shop Born Lippy Lip Balm Stick in pomegranate, Its smells lovely and leaves your lips hydrated and smooth.

Flake Away by Soap and Glory

This is a great scrub that I use around three times a week, it leaves my skin smooth and smelling lovely.
