My Name is Linzi and I'm a Perfume Addict

Hullo Ladies!

Just a quick post today, talking about some of the new perfumes that have entered my life over the last few weeks.

Now, I don't usually buy this many in a just a short few weeks but I've had a few things going on lately that seem to qualify for splurging in the fragrance area

It was my 21st Birthday in September and I got 3 perfumes around that time!

Chanel Chance EDT From my Brother - My brother decided to buy this for me months ago after he went shopping with me and we tested it in store. I was so excited to own a Chanel fragrance, It seems to be stopping every woman should do at least once :-) I suggest try the Chance line out, they're all great scents!

Peace Love and Juicy Couture from my Mam and Dad - This was on Super Clearance in Asda last Month and my Mam picked it up for me after seeing me drool all over it ;-) It's super fresh and green. At first I wasn't that fussed with the scent but it seems to be addictive because some days I just want to sniff it!

Taylor Swift Wonderstruck from my Cousin - I used the money she gave me from my birthday and it was on such a great deal so It was a good choice. I'm in love with it and have used so much of it already! Definitely an everyday favourite for me :-)

Another reason I bought perfume was because I was in Duty Free last week!

Alien EDP By Thierry Mugler - This one was a great price in Duty Free and I've loved it ever since smelling it on a friend last New Years Eve. It's a very sexy and unique scent. One to wear on a night out. I wore it to a Halloween Party last weekend :-)

Flowerbomb EDT by Viktor & Rolf - I've loved Flowerbomb for ages now but it's way too expensive! I splurged on the plane back home, mostly because I thought I was about to die and also because I still had a bit of money left from the holiday. Seriously! The flight back was horrible!!!

Last but not least I bought the Vera Wang Princess from Amazon this week because they had a fabulous deal going on :-)  It's a gorgeous scent, I was worried it was going to be very similar to Princess Night which I already own but they're completely different!

So those are all my new perfumes!

Have you added anything new to your collection lately?

DISCLAIMER: I don't want this post to sound like I'm bragging or anything like that. It's more of a confession if anything!  Trying to talk about perfumes more instead of buying more of them ;-)

October Favourites 2013

Hullo Ladies!

It's that time again where I talk about all the things I've been loving this month :-)

First up!

Urban Decay 15th Anniversary Palette - I've been using this constantly in the last week, all the pretty colours are great for the halloween looks I've been trying out.

Vichy Dermablend Foundation -  I bought this a few days before I left for Portugal and fell in love with it and took it with me, I think It's a great dupe for Double Wear and is more than £10 cheaper!

Alien EDP Thierry Mugler  - A gorgeous fragrance that I recently picked up in Duty free and wore all through my holiday and in the last week. It's gorgeous, unique and instantly recognisable. The lasting power on this beauty is amazing! I wore it to the Halloween Party last Saturday, I put my outfit o again tonight and It's still going strong and I can even smell it over the perfume I put on just an hour ago!

Nails Inc Wilton Row - A gorgeous, sexy deep plummy red. Again I took it on holiday with me. Staying power isn't great but I just really like how it looks on the nails. Super glossy and gel like :-)

New Look Hair Clip -  I'm obsessed with curling my hair and then clipping the front back. I think it looks so girly and pretty! It's what I done most nights on my Holiday :-)

Sleek Blush By 3 Palette in Lace - A favourite palette of mine, it's great for travelling! All three colours are pigmented, easy to blend and look beautiful on the cheeks.

MAC Lipstick in Ruby Woo - I'm in love with this lipstick! It lasts forever and looks so classy :-) I'll be writing up a review soon so I'm not going to say much except that I loved it for my halloween look :-)

UBU Blending Brush - This is another product I took to Portugal with me and also used all last week to do my Halloween makeup! It's a great blending brush and It's really inexpensive. I'm pretty sure I got a pack of three brushes for under £10 in ASDA.

Real Techniques Fine Liner Brush - I love my Bobbi Brown Fine Liner Brush but it's getting old and worn now and it's super expensive to replace so last month I started looking for something else and the first place I looked was the Real Techniques Section in Boots. Luckily they were having a buy 1 get the second half off so I picked up this and the expert face brush! I love them both but this brush is amazing. Really easy to work with and I actually prefer it to my bobbi brown! The brush is long and doesn't drag on the eyelid like the Bobbi Brown one can do sometimes.

Bourjois Bronzer Powder - I bought this just before my holiday, I've been thinking about buying my first bronzer for a long time. I was going to pick up The Body Shop one but it is quite expensive without and coupon code and I'd heard some great things about the bourjois one so I picked it up in the light shade "51". It gorgeous and is a great colour match for me. It does have slight shimmer but I really do mean slight, in fact I'm hardly able to see it. Which means it's great for contouring which is what I use it for.

Maybelline Colossal Mascara - This is probably my favourite mascara so far and I'm constantly repurchasing it. It's amazing! I really want to try out the other Maybelline mascaras :-)

Last but not least!

Maybelline Vivid's Lipstick in Neon Red - I've worn red lipstick for most of October, this Maybelline shade is gorgeous. It's an orange toned red and is apparently close to the MAC lipstick in Lady Danger.

So there was a lot of favourites this month!

What's been your favourite this Month?

My Halloween Costume - Dead Goth/Pin Up/Who the Hell knows?

Hullo Ladies!

Halloween may be next Thursday but like many people in the world I happened to celebrate it last night!

So I bought a skeleton dress from Asda a few weeks ago but I still didn't know what I was going as because I could go as a skeleton, or I could go as a dead goth.

In the end I'd changed my mind so many times I just decided to go as a dead goth but with a dead pin up makeup.

My brother Shaun went as Batman :-)

Fair play to him, he stayed in character all night!

This is the dress I bought from Asda, it was only £10 and I had to were tights because it was super short. I'm just hoping that it didn't ride to far up when I was dancing! Eeeek I don't even want to think about it!

I did the nails myself (as you might be able to guess hehe) I bought some false nails in Superdrug and then painted them! They looked great and for the first 30 minutes I loved them but then they got on my nerves! Especially when they started to pop off later in the night. They were good fun though and it was nice to try something new :-)

My Makeup:

Foundation : Estee Lauder Double Wear in Shell

Lips : MAC Ruby Woo Lipstick

Brows : Urban Decay Eyeshadow in Blackout

Eyes : Urban Decay Eyeshadows in Blackout, Omen, Evidence and Half Truth.

False Lashes are Eylure Katy Perry in Oh My!

I hated them, I had to cut them in half and they still looked strange!! I don't know i'f im liking the katy perry range, think I'll stick to original Eylure lashes from now on!

My Brother Shaun, his Girlfriend Alyssa and Me!

What do you think? Did I look scary enough?!

You can see my face makeup better in this one because of the flash, that's the only time you can see all that dark/deathly contouring I did, that seemed to take hours to look right! :-)

So I had a good night, lots of laughter, drinks and dancing!

Have you done anything for Halloween yet? Waiting for the actual day or not bothering with it this year?

Next weekend I'm hoping to have a scary movie night with a friend, so Halloween definitely isn't over for me yet!

I'm Back! Holiday Photo's and Perfume Haul :-)

Hullo Ladies!

I'm back from my Holiday and I'm super excited for the next couple of months :-)

Halloween is less than a week away and not long after that comes Bonfire Night and then Christmas!

But before I get too excited about all that let's get back to last week....

Here's me drinking a yummy pina colada!

I absolourtly adore that Primark maxi dress by the way, I got lot's of compliments from people and it was so comfy to wear :-)

So this was the gorgeous view from the apartment we stayed at.
A fantastic view of the atlantic ocean!

Most days we spent hours in the sea, swimming and getting knocked down by the huge waves. It's surprising how funny it can be watching your family and friends getting knocked over by a wave and then standing back up and getting knocked over by another one.

There were a lot of hilarious moments of missing bikini bottoms!

Half way through our holiday we were told by some locals to head down to the local Marina because in the out of season times there's a spa like restaurant/resort that let's you in for free. They give you a card and all you do is then pay for whatever drinks and food you get when you leave at the end. Obviously the food and drink was slightly more expensive than anywhere else but we were on holiday and we had an amazing time so it was worth it.

It was a beautiful place with a gorgeous (freezing) salt water pool.

Also the food and cocktails were amazing.

I had an American Brownie there and I've never tasted anything better!

So now onto duty free!

Okay....If you've read my blog before, you know I'm obsessed with perfumes so I'm gonna tell you straight. I got one going, got one coming back and I got one when I got home...........

I know!!!!! I'm sorry :-(

My Names Linzi and I'm a perfume-holic.

I got the Alien set on the way there. I literally I couldn't pass it up! It was an amazing deal!

I got the 60ml EDP Set for 40 euros.

Which if you know Alien, you know that it's an amazing deal!

I just checked on The Perfume Shop website and the 60ml set on there is £77.50!

Then on the way home we were rushed onto the plane so I didn't have time to shop in duty free. Whist on the plane I saw that they were selling some makeup and fragrances and I noticed they sold the 50ml edt of Flowerbomb.

I was also going to pick up the Naked 2 Palette but they didn't stock it on the plane. So I still had some money left.

The day after I got home I had a text from a friend telling me that Amazon was selling the 100ml Vera Wang Princess perfume for just £26.00

So that's what I bought out of what money I had left!

I'm so happy with the perfumes I've bought!

I'm going to have to stop though because due to my birthday and now my holiday I have 6 new perfumes to get through!

No more perfumes for me for awhile!

I had a great holiday and now I'm excited to get back into blogging :-)

Here's the link the the Vera Wang Perfume! Get it quick while it's on an amazing deal, remember it changes on a regular basis with Amazon :-)

I almost nearly didn't pick it up because of principles. I was pissed that New Look was selling exactly the same thing in the Inspire range but for a higher price. It's ridiculous how long it took my to decide which perfume to take...I'm ashamed to even say how long.  Lets Just say that there was a list involved. I'm such a weirdo!

So that some of the stuff I'm taking on holiday, I know it's only for a week but.....I just...okay I have no excuses. It's not too bad I guess, I'l be dressing up every night because were going to a lot of restaurants while we're there so the makeup is needed!!

I'm so excited to be going though, I'm slightly nervous about the airport. I'll be fine once I'm on the plane. I'm fine with flying, it's going through security(It's ALWAYS me who sets the alarms off) and making sure you have everything and all that jazz that gets me nervous. As soon as I'm in Duty Free I'll be happy as Larry ;-)

I bought the Vichy Dermablend today by the way and I really love it so far. I'm undecided whether to swap it with the Healthy Mix . I'm going to continue trying it out for the next few days and see how I feel :-)

Are you like me when you go away? Are you a overpacker or do you tend not to care too much about what you take. If that's the case I wish I was like you! :-)

REVIEW - TheBalm - Hot Mama! Blush

Hullo Ladies!

I'm reviewing a blush today that I won in a giveaway earlier in the year.

I'd been wanting to purchase Hot Mama! by TheBalm for awhile, as I'd read many reviews on it as it's considered a great dupe for the famous Nars Orgasm Blush.

It's a pinky peach with gold shimmer running throughout it that highlights the cheek bone and looks stunning when it catches the light.

It can be used as both a blusher and a eyeshadow.

You get 7.08g of products and a good size mirror and a hidden magnet to keep it closed.

When I recieved this product, I suddenly noticed how many blushes out there that are very similar to this, maybe due to Nars Orgasm being so popular companies caught on that this type of shade is universally favoured.

As I do not own Orgasm I don't know how similar it actually is to Hot Mama Sadly. If you look on google though I'm sure some lovely blogger out there has done a comparison on the both of them :-)

Two particular dupes I heard about were Rose Gold and Guipure from Sleek. I own Guipure and though it's a similar type of blush its more pink toned than Hot Mama!

You can read my review of Guipure here.

swatch of Hot Mama!

This gorgeous blush is easily blended into the skin and has amazing lasting power.

I love how it looks on the cheeks and use it as both a blush and highlighter.

It gives a gorgeous glow to the skin that looks amazing in the Summer.

I absolutely love this product, it's great quality and well worth the money.

You can be gentle when applying to give yourself just a slight flush of colour or you can build it up, it's up to you!

It's universally flattering and sometimes I like to apply it other a brighter matte blush if I'm being brave :-)

You can buy this here on Amazon!

Have you tried this blush? Do you love it as much as me?!
